- Brookyx270 contributionsGreat daySuyang’s warmth was immediate. We were met with a big smile, despite the very cold weather, and were guided through a vibrant market to gather supplies for our lesson. The whole morning/afternoon was filled with interesting conversations about South Korea’s history, culture and delicacies. He was a brilliant teacher. We left with a lot of delicious food and snacks Suyang was kind enough to gift us. We had a truely fabulous time and it was all due to Suyang’s hosting. He even provided us with future travel advice and loads of recommendations for restaurants around our area.Written 7 January 2025
- brittanycK2134GG0 contributionsOyster TourSu Yang was such a good tour guide. First we took a beautiful walk around a fishing island. He showed us and taught us all about oysters. He is also very knowledgable on Korean history. After a beautiful walk we worked up an appetite and we ate at a very famous and popular oyster restaurant on the island. It was excellent. I highly recommend this tour!!Written 25 December 2024
- 608ambd0 contributionsRadish KimichiWe visited a local market to buy everything we needed to prepare radish kimchi. It was great having a local guide who explained how the market operates and shared insights about Korean culture and lifestyle in general. Once we had everything, we headed to a dedicated kitchen to learn how to make the kimchi. Afterward, we went to a nearby pork grill restaurant. The meal was super cool ! And once again, we had the chance to learn about typical Korean dishes and try new flavors. Overall, it was an amazing experience. We probably asked a lot of questions, but we got answers to everything, plus some great tips for the rest of our time in Korea! Thanks so much, AmbroiseWritten 16 November 2024
- F8409ZTlaured0 contributionsCooking in BusanIt was so nice. We did a quick tour of the fish market, then we cooked the kimshi and went to dinner together with our guide. The kimshi was so good, and our guide very available. He gaves us a lot of informations about korean culture, advices for the rest of our journey etc... it was a very pleasant moment we spend with him. And we return back home with our own kimshi!Written 16 November 2024
- A_Bake1230 contributionsExcellent cooking class and market tour in Busan! We had an excellent time during our class and would highly recommend it to anyone in Busan! We had an informative tour of Bujeon market before heading to the kitchen for our cooking class where we made three different dishes which we got to choose from an extensive menu of options sent ahead of time via WhatsApp. We had a great time and the food was delicious - be prepared to have leftovers to take home. Big thank you to our excellent teacher and would highly recommend this experience to anyone with an extra day in Busan.Written 12 November 2024
- PS6000 contributionsGreat experience, must do when in Busan! We had a great afternoon and evening with Mister Chang! We did the food market tour together with another couple. We gained a lot of background history and nice tips on how to go through the market. We went up some buildings for some nice views and walked around at a nice pace for about 1.5/2 hours. We also booked the dinner part, so we went to Mr. Chang's kitchen studio by bus. We bought some drinks at the market and had nice chats while Mr. Chang cooked several dishes with fresh seafood and nice condiments! After dinner we discussed more amazing things about Busan and he gave us a lot of tips for hikes and restaurants that we followed up. Mr. Chang is very approachable and speaks proper English. You can reach out to him through whatsapp and he responds really quick. So definitely book a tour with him when you are in Busan!! You'll have a great time and a really good connection whenever you are in Busan.Written 4 November 2024
- 50isabellad0 contributionsDelicious Meal with SuyangOur guide, Suyang, delivered an incredible experience. Our tour and dinner were personalized to our food preferences. We learned a lot and ate well. Suyang was knowledgeable and friendly. The man can cook! Some of the best food we ate on our trip we bought at the market. In particular, we loved his curry shrimp. There was a longer transport from the market to the kitchen than expected, but Suyang bought us all the beer and soju we wanted in the end:) We would book this tour again!Written 30 October 2024
- ivanng000 contributionsBest tour in Busan!Highly recommended Suyang samchon tour! Suyang reached out to us before the tour to check if we wanted to stay until midnight for the tour! He came with lanterns and flashlight to help us take beautiful photos at night! Suyang speaks English and Mandarin well! Will definitely rebook with him when we visit Busan again!Written 14 October 2024
- Go2757240 contributionsBest tour guide!Busan Samchon, Suyang is the best tour guide! He's very personable and easy to communicate with! The tour is small so I get to ask a lot of questions about Korea and the site! He went above and beyond to help me looking for a snack for my friend back home! I really appreciate his kindness!Written 13 October 2024
- dkE6611FH0 contributionsAn amazing experience! Book this cooking class! We could not have had a better time, this experience FAR exceeded our expectations. The meet up was easy and the market adventure was awesome. Dinner after the market was an unexpected surprise and very good. We prepared the marinated abalone and will be making it when we return home.Written 5 October 2024
- W2127WOjunep0 contributionsJinju Namgang Yudeung Festival 2024It was a fabulous tour and I would highly recommend it! Suyang is a wonderful and knowledgeable tour guide, who kept me informed of the tour plans and the tour ran as per itinerary. This was the first night of the Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival 2024 and were lucky to watch the drone show and fireworks, which is only scheduled on specific nights. Due to the large scale of the festival, we kept together as a group. My tips are to wear comfy walking shoes, as we did not stop for long periods and the walking paths are not always flat. There is so much to see on both sides of the river. Carry water and small snacks as there are few vendors on the castle / fortress side. Plenty of vendors on the other side of the river.Written 5 October 2024
- Quest040249513240 contributionsFun cooking classMy husband and I had a great time learning how to cook Korean food with Suyang! He explained the history and traditions of each item we made. We left very full and with leftovers.Written 4 October 2024

- soloraven0 contributionsGreat experience, low key, must tryThis tour was so much fun and full of pleasant surprises. First, we had great directions so it was easy to meet up Suyang-then we walked to the market and started exploring the surrounding areas. Suyang is very knowledgeable and gave us great background on the history of the space as well as South Korea and Busan. We went shopping for fresh seafood and got to pick what we liked along with a few alcoholic beverages to taste. Dinner was impressive! The dishes were served one by one, hot, fresh and delicious and one of the best meals we’ve had so far. Suyang is a very talented cook and let us enjoy the meals at our own pace. It was full of fun and laughter and great food! Incidentally we took the bus to travel to the kitchen where we had our dinner so it was nice to get a a glimpse of daily life of Busan citizens. We tried interesting things like sea squirt and spoonworm and liked the experience. My friend and I had an awesome time, had great food, great laughs and a really good time with Suyang -I highly recommend!Written 29 August 2024
