About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- M865INcathys0 contributionsBad Experience with AIG Travel GuardBuyer Beware of Travel Guard! Four friends from high school planned a bucket list Alaska cruise to celebrate the year of their 70th birthdays and purchased trip insurance from AIG Travel Guard when the cruise deposit was made. The Global IT Outage occurred the Friday before the cruise departure on that Sunday, our flights were cancelled and we were unable to fly to the cruise departure city, despite help from the AIG Travel Assistance Department. Our cruise had to be cancelled; AIG Travel Guard decided that our claims were for a missed connection and paid three of the travelers $1,000 each instead of payment in full because of a trip cancellation. The 4th person was paid in full for her claim, which AIG Travel Guard claimed was paid in error. I believe that AIG Travel Guard is a disreputable company and will never use again.Written 21 October 2024
- O3101ZKjaimem0 contributionsAIG Travel - A terrible experienceI purchased a travel insurance with AIG Travel. My suitcase got lost and after numerous emails & requests from my side AIG Travel decided not to reimburse me. I also had a terrible experience dealing with AIG Travel, & I strongly do not recommend them.Written 30 September 2024
- Relax094662653830 contributionsSTAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!Doesn't deserve 1 star! What a horrible company! Please stay from away from them. They don't like to pay out, and give you every excuse for not honoring your claim. I purchased two tickets for an event, I was so looking forward to attending and spent close to $400.00 for two tickets. Unfortunately, I had surgery and could not attend, so I put in a claim since I THOUGHT, I was protected, but they found every reason to postpone, and delay payment which I never received from them. THE AUDACITY! Then, to add insult to injury, maybe one person spoke proper English. WTH???? How do they hire people to deal with customers that you have to struggle to understand? I am not exaggerating. I could not understand a word they were saying, which only added more wood to the fire. Also, their customer service representatives become very nasty when you tell them, you do not understand them. Allianz should be ashamed of themselves and Ticket Master should NOT be promoting their Insurance for protection, because they do not like to pay your claims. Allianz should close their doors. I have written to the CEO of Ticket Master and informed them of my undeserved experience from a company they are promoting. You don't have to just trust YELP, check TrustPilot, BBB to name a few. They have a horrible reputation and I highly suggest you look elsewhere for you protection, because in my opinion, they are scam artists!Written 2 May 2024
- Flyer439242133150 contributionsTerribleWe couldn't take the trip! Please don't consider AIG Travel Insurance. The charge you a healthy fee and when it is time to use it they will deny your request. My wife and I were not able to go on our trip and I was able to cancel my Hotel but not the airline tickets. We submitted a claim with all of the necessary documents indicating because of unforeseen work obligations we couldn't go. We even submitted documentation from the H.R. department. WE were turned down by AIG Travel because they indicated that we had to have been FIRED in order for them to reimburse. I said that I would be fired if I didn't cancel my trip and stay home to work unfortunately. The AIG Travel Company is a SCAM! Save your money and don't use their survice because they have NO intentions of reimbursing you for any reason even if they are honest and legitimate reasons. Don't ever use AIG Travel!Written 20 March 2024
- 788silkeh0 contributionsNot recommendableWe booked the tour months ahead. On the day of the tour , the driver was not at the meeting point. No message for the reason why he didnt show up. The contact number he gave was not listed in WhatsApp. No means to get in touch with him. No explanation until the evening. We payed in advance and must now try to get the money back. Keep away from this tour organisation.Written 5 February 2024

- A1178GZedh0 contributionsPoor travel insurance advice & policySince my wife has existing health issues, they made sure we paid the full travel insurance premium for our recent trip to Singapore. We were upfront with them and paid for their travel insurance, Unfortunately we both contracted COVID-19 on our trip and incurred additional hotel and flight costs, On calling NRMA we were told by a call centre person that our travel insurance did not cover COVID-19 and that we should have been told to go to an alternative insurance company who had COVID-19 cover, & the call centre person was surprised that our policy did not cover COVID-19. On returning home, we contacted NRMA travel insurance about this & were told they could do nothing to help us. They even sourced the calls we had with their call centre person & told us that he should not have told us to go elsewhere for insurance. If you want piece of mind as you travel, do not get your travel insurance from NRMA, or Covermore or whatever they call themselves. I know we will never use this company again.Written 2 July 2022
- Nancy W0 contributionsPaid $3000 No Trip No Refund No CreditMy friend and I booked a 23-day trip to Sulawesi for August 2020. When we had to cancel due to COVID-19 and Indonesia being closed, Hernan Halim stopped answering emails, refused to follow his own booking terms of only 25% penalty and wouldn't even offer a credit for 2021. We lost all our money and couldn't even get an explanation. Do NOT book with Hernan or IndoGlobal Adventures.Written 9 July 2020

- PipperDog0 contributionsGreat Trip...But...We had a great 6 day birding trip to Tangkoko and Tomohon. The trip was “saved” by Samuel Masedung our excellent guide and Tati his wife…But… After the original booking, Hernan Halim did not respond timely to communication. And failed to send a final invoice. Consequently, when we arrived in Tangkoko, we were informed we still owed about US$900. To add to the confusion, the original agreement was in US$, with no mention of IDR or conversion rates, and Hernan wanted to use old conversion rates. The nearest ATM was in Bitung, and ATM’s only dispense about $90 at a time. This added unnecessary stress to our trip, and meant we were trying to get cash instead of enjoying the trip. I admit, I should have noticed before that we had not paid the full amount, but good communication from Hernan could have prevented this problem.Written 18 March 2020
- 563mauricef0 contributionsTana Toraja an amazing experience of culture and lifestyleI just had a fantastic trip to Tana Toraja with Hernan and his team, right from the first question I found Hernan to be extremely informative, no hard sell and actually one of the reasons I picked this tour, (I am a well seasoned traveler, more than 50 countries on 5 continents and not the biggest fan of organised tours, however...) . The process of booking and payment super easy (make sure to ask about the accommodation types there are a few), the trip was everything it promised on the brochure and more due to our guide Hendrick he really was amazing, he is very educated on the culture and history of the area, his English is great always offering information and for someone like me who asks a million questions he was always polite and cheerful with an answer. This area of Indonesia is so rich in culture and steeped in folklore that you would miss if you did not have a good guide, ask for Henry. The airport pick up was seamless on time efficient the driver even had a great music selection as its a bit of a drive. Each of the restaurants we went to was a great and genuine experience of local Torajan fare even with the cooks stopping by to explain the food, super. We did and saw so much but it never felt rushed or boring, again am not always the most patient but Hendrick kept me absolutely entertained with stories and facts of the Torajan people and culture. Thank you Indoglobal team for making this an awesome journey and experience to your land. I have posted many pics on my Instagram "maurice fahey"Written 13 January 2020
- Arifuddin110 contributionsJakarta tour..An expensive tour??? Only place enjoyed is the miniature park, but every step there is entrance fee which was not included in tour. Istiqal mosque, repair was going on. Tour price not corresponding with the activities. Dissatisfied tour 🙄Written 31 December 2019
- Gaganawati0 contributionsIt was a very expensive Trip but worth. We saw many interesting objects as it scheduled. The guide Mr. Hendrik & the driver were very nice and friendly. However, I wish Indo Global can manage the direct flight from Makassar to Pangkoti airport in the future and surely the local government should make it possible. Toraja is a great place, a must visit. I recommend any cultures lovers to pay a visit. My opinion is that children under 17 are not suppose to come with, especially during the funeral ceremony. Some of them couldn’t take it as it is. It took a while to let them forgot.Written 18 September 2019
- David C0 contributionsTana Toraja Well Worth A VisitIndoGlobal's 4D3N Tana Toraja Cultural Experience (Sulawesi) far exceeded expectations. We opted for air travel to and from Makassar, saving a 10-hour road journey each way. Martin was an excellent guide and asked our permission to alter the itinerary to include a traditional Torajan funeral. That was a cultural highlight we will never forget but, if you are squeamish, be warned this celebration (it's more of a festival than a funeral) includes the slaughter of pigs and buffalos. If you are looking for a "National Geographic" experience, then this is the short trip for you.Written 11 September 2019
- Benvenuto S0 contributionsToraja Tourwe had a wonderful journey around Toraja area. Our tour guide, Ms Rita, was a weill qualified one. We met the driver at the hotel in Makassar and drove through the Toraja mountain. We took part in a funeral ceremony; it was so impressive. The place where we stayed was so quietful and in a great natural environment. I warmly recommend this tour operator!Written 28 August 2019
