- Roving348127806800 contributionsFantastic ExperienceAbsolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Starting with views of Mt Batur and the lake followed by a lovely downhill bike ride through rice terraces and little villages well away from busy roads. The tour ended with a delicious buffet in a local restaurant. Eddie our guide was amazing, very friendly and gave us lots of insight into balinese culture. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour if we come back to Bali we would definitely book it again!Written 23 August 2024
- niwayanj20230 contributionsGreat Experience! We had a great biking experience. We visited one temple, one school in one of the villages and also one traditional market. Of course the highlight of this tour were the rice fields, but our guide made everything nice and enjoyable, because he was speaking quite good English comparative with other guides we met in Bali/Lombok and he made also a lot of jokes. He also gave us a lot of information about Balinese traditions, their family life and how they raise up their children. Thank you for this great biking tour. I'm only sorry we forgot his name.Written 3 February 2024

I was a little nervous booking this activity as I was worried about the amount of cars and scooters we would encounter but I am so glad I did.
Great communication before the trip even began followed by prompt accomodation pickup by our friendly driver.
We then collected our guide August who was just amazing!! Great energy level, happy, friendly and who shared his knowledge in a way the kids enjoyed without it becoming boring-. Most of all though he made us feel safe the entire ride, whether through rice fields, villages or on the streets.
Views were absolutely beautiful, coffee plantation was fantastic ( even the kids enjoyed some tea and hot chocolate tasting) & locals were all very friendly and welcoming. Oh and the lunch at the end - YUM!!!
As for my traffic fear, most of the time we were in quiet villages or in the fields- yes we encountered scooters and vans but August made sure we were all safe and not once did I feel concerned.
As for the uphill? 3 what I would call small hills requiring minimal energy but can always walk if need be.
Would highly recommend this small group (4) tour with GOAT for a way to see UBUD away from the crowds and out of the cars.

Dedy was a wonderful tour guide as he was so very informative, courteous and knowledgeable about his culture and country. Our driver Dewa also very helpful and collected us from our hotel door. The view from the volcano and rice fields incredible. We enjoyed every part of the bike tour, especially meeting a Balinese family and being invited into their home. The bikes were new and well maintained, the bike tour downhill was not too difficult for an almost 60 year old. The lunch was absolutely delicious too. We would highly recommend this bike tour. The price was very reasonable and as tour group consisted only of us two we felt privileged. Thank you from Paul and Fiona, Tasmania, Australia.

One of the best days we had while in Ubud was a cycling tour through the Balinese countryside. It was great to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and see what 'real Bali' feels like, including rice fields, wood carving workshops and traditional family homes. Our guide was very fun and informative and the bike ride was almost entirely downhill so it was manageable for anyone who could sit on a bike! Would 100% recommend, had a great day exploring the little villages and shouting 'hi!' back to local kids!

We had a large group of 10 riders do this trip, and it was an absolute highlight of our Bali holiday. Was so fun riding mostly downhill through villages, rice terraces, local roads. The best way to see rice terraces by far! The guides were great, interacting well with kids and adults, and keeping us safe at all times. 100% recommend doing this with GOAT cycling, it is something we will remember forever.

I can't say enough great things about this tour. Our guide Kadek was so helpful and knowledgeable. We learnt more from him in a couple of hours about Balianese culture, religion & everyday life than we have being here for a week. Kadek and our driver were kind enough to take us to a coffee plantation & tasting on the way which was amazing. The route taken on the bike ride takes you through Balianese villages & beautiful rice fields, and the opportunity to interact with the beautiful people you meet along the way was priceless. We were even kindly allowed into a families compound which was very special. We felt safe at all times and the ride is mostly downhill, so a lovely breeze & not too much hard work in the heat. The lunch provided at the end topped it off and was delicious. Don't even think twice about booking this tour - just do it. It is such amazing value for money & you won't regret it.

This was a one of a kind biking experience. Our guide Dika, managed to tend to all, no matter the race, sex or age. It wasn’t too overwhelmingly fast but not boringly slow, each new building we passed he gave us a brief yet interesting background, from the daily Balinese life to how different tea and coffee is made. Any mistakes were fixed with ease and patience since he only takes smaller groups for more attention. Overall, he provided great interest and fun to everyone and his English was great with no communication issues occurring. Thank you for this trip Dika :)

We had an amazing time on the bike tour. We’re a family of four with 2 young children and GOAT were very helpful and flexible accommodating us all. Our guide, Deddy, was lovely and very knowledgeable about the local area. He was also great with our kids. We were able to get a taste of the “real Bali” along quiet country roads, visiting a school, a local family and ride paddies. GOAT really went above and beyond, even delivering my daughters sunnies back to the hotel free of charge when she forgot them in the car.

On the first day we came to Bali we booked the tour with Dika and it was an amazing experience

Amazing experience cycling through the rice fields, our guide D was very knowledgeable and friendly and made the whole experience very memorable. Most of the ride was downhill which was great in the heat as it cooled us down. Incredible food at the end of the ride as well, and they catered to our dietary requirement (vegetarian and gluten free). Would definitely recommend. Was a highlight of our trip.

The owner just takes small groups but I believe his site states minimum number of 4 cyclists. There are a lot of other companies that do similar guide tours but you would be part of a large group

Hi we have a group of 5, 4 adults and 1 child 12yrs. Is there any way we can do this tour altogether?
Written 25 August 2024
I would ask the tour group directly. We had a private tour for tour for two people. I think they have a limit of four people per guide but I don’t see why they couldn’t provide two guides for your group and you still do it together. Not sure if they have bikes for children.
