A great experience with an amazing knowledgeable host.
Maduak was a wonderful host and guide at his family home in the artisan village of Mas. He and his uncle were patient and confident to show me and the others how to learn how to carve safely in the traditional Balinese style. I would definitely recommend this to those wanting to experience local arts in a village setting.

      A balm for the soul
Away from the moped madness of most of Bali this was a blissful hour spent in a languid art museum with a mix of old and new paintings and carvings, gardens with curiosities around every corner and a free coffee to contemplate everything at the end of it. A mere handful of respectful visitors and friendly laid back staff made this a favourite hour of my holiday.

Amazing class! Make your own unique souvenir!
My family rated this experience a 5 out of 5! The kids loved the class. It was fun and educational. They wanted to repeat the class again if possible! The instructor was patient and ensured our projects were successful. The class was a great way to create our own one of a kind souvenir to bring home. Highly recommended! Thank you!

      Met Agung Rai
I'm not exactly sure how to describe this place. The property is huge and contains the Agung Rai Museum of Art, multiple performance stages, and a large resort. The Museum of Art is in two main buildings, and contains an eclectic collection of traditional and contemporary works of Indonesian art. The property exudes tranquility and harmony with nature. As my guide and I were moving around the property we met a gentleman sitting on a bench and initiated a short conversation. It appeared that he might have been an employee taking a little break ...... but it was Agung Rai himself!!!!!! It was immensely refreshing to see first-hand how involved this man is with his Balinese community and his desire to share it with the world.

      What a delight!
We had a private tour of the museum with the founder Agung Rai. He is quite an interesting individual and the museum is beautiful and a lot larger than we had expected. If you like works of art then do not miss the opportunity to see the best of Balinese art here.

The best place in UBUD. Great museums AND great gardens. You can fell harmony and peace. Go further in the garden and you will see superb fontains, flowers and rice field. ARMA is like a beautiful and peaceful village inside Ubud. Best place to watch in Ubud traditionnel dances with plenty of place and nice restaurants.

      Small, but nice
The museum basically consists of two small buildings and you definitely can finish everything in 30-45min, but it’s still nicely made and the art pieces are very interesting.

      Take Home a Wooden Memory
Even if you haven't worked with wood before, this class is a wonderful experience. Wayan is a skilled and knowledgeable craftsman/instructor with a big smile and good sense of humor. In a little under two hours, he taught my fiancee - who has never once wielded a chisel or mallet - how to carve a pretty hibiscus flower out of a block of wood. As a bonus, the class admission fee also gives you access to the Agung Rai Museum of Art (ARMA) grounds, which is a whole experience by itself.

A Glimpse of Bali Through Art
The museum is very organized and worth the admission fee which comes with a booklet and a refreshment. You can roam each themed building and interact with their local artists onsite. The place is clean and well maintained. The staff are very hospitable. I like their Apple OC dessert paired with iced latte.

      Utterly spellbinding
We went to a dance performance on a Wednesday evening, the staff were charming and helpful and sat us down in the front row. The performance was amazing, the musicians played with pin point unison, some without even looking at their instruments. The dancers were incredible, their movements making sense of the musical rhythm. I was spellbound from start to finish.

Experience the beautiful art and sculpture of Bali
Beautiful collection of 19th-21st century Balinese art by local and western artists. Interesting history of the foundation of ARMA - collaboration between Balinese government and artists. Free lunch with ticket ! And wonderful range of additional activities. We learnt how to play the gamelan on traditional instruments with a local expert!

Wonderful art museum in the heart of Ubud
We really enjoyed seeing the art collection which is relatively extensive. The museum grounds are a very pleasant way to take a break from the hustle and bustle of “downtown” Ubud. We also enjoyed having a light lunch in the restaurant. The food was reasonably priced and delicious and the atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing.
