        Best sunrise experience
We had a fun time on this tour and an awesome view of the sunrise. Santana was on time to pick us up from the hotel and got us safely to base camp. He was able to tell us all about the area around Mt Batur. Upon arrival we met Jalo, who drove us up the mountain, helped us take tons of photos, and let us pick some music to play on the way back down. We stopped at the black lava area for more great photos and off roading. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend it.

Best thing to do in Bali
The view and sunrise is simply breath-taking, with the pre-dawn orange glow transitioning into dazzling shafts of light as the sun crests Mt Abang with the light show continuing as the sun drives the fog rolling over the fields and hills below. A fairly short but tough hike to the top, you definitely want to bring some good footwear. Thanks to Mr. Putu for safely driving us through the night and Mr Nopia for his extra care guiding us up.

        Mt Batur hiking
Our hike to Mt. Batur was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The entire trip was well-organized and punctual, ensuring that we maximized our time on the mountain. Our guide Kadek was exceptional—knowledgeable, friendly, and an excellent photographer. He made the hike even more enjoyable by capturing some incredible photos of our journey and the stunning sunrise. The driver Putu also exceeded our expectations, not only ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride but also taking us to a lovely breakfast spot afterwards. This hike was a perfect blend of adventure and great service. Highly recommended!

Great experience with a hike for more experienced hikers
We were picked up by Surya in the early morning (2 AM) and had a pleasant drive to the mountain. That’s where we got picked up by our guide who did a great job guiding us on top of the mountain in the pitch black dark night. This hike / climb is definitely nothing for beginners! If you don’t feel comfortable or physically able enough to go very steep ways up the hill,we would recommend you to choose the jeep ride which would safe you a lot of hiking and sweating and swearing 🙃 However: if you feel like you can go on a 90-120 minute hike we can highly recommend this!! It was beautiful and the top was crazylie stunning. We would definitely do it again!

I felt save in the car en if you have any questions he will answer them. Nopja was also kind. Through the hike he was telling a lot about his own village en the Mount Batur. We had a really great experience. Our guide & driver were excellent! Super friendly, knowledgeable & took us to great photo spots timing it so it wasn’t AS busy. Our guide took great photos too! The mountain sees about 300-400 people in May at sunrise but double that in June/July pick season so something to remember. It was busy for us but plenty of space to view sunrise & only got busy towards the summit. Driver was the friendliest guy ever & truly loves his job. We left from Canggu at about 1am, picked up someone in Ubud at 2 & started hiking at about 3.45am after a hot tea/coffee. You have heaps of time to make it to the if you need to stop for a break since it’s quite a steep/slippery hike. Breakfast was decent (2 eggs, banana sandwich, wafer bar, mandarins & mangosteens plus a coffee/tea) but bring snacks so you have energy getting up there/the drive back. Also opted for hot springs which were a nice stop to relax after the walk but not really necessary. Driver took us to a coffee plantation as well on the way back which was really good too. Make sure you keep an eye on the weather so you get a good view at the summit!!

Beautiful hike worth the early morning!
Amazing hike! Surya was communicative before the hike and was punctual the day of the hike. Comfortable car. Gede was a great guide! He set the pace for the hike and took an appropriate number of breaks. Provided hiking sticks and head lamps. Took excellent photos for us at the top. Breakfast was plentiful. Highly recommend. Bring a light jacket and wear appropriate shoes. Would recommend requesting the driver not to stop at the coffee and tea tasting.

Beautiful hike and sunrise at Mnt Batur on 21-May. Yogi was our local guide and she was really great. Very friendly, brought us to quiet places on the mountain and was great to talk to. We highly recommend Yogi as a guide for Mnt Batur hiking.

Beautiful view and amazing service and people
Had an amazing experience with the people and the activities included in this package! Our driver Jero Kadek Arcana was very punctual with pickup. He was very welcoming and spoke to us with lots of enthusiasm! He was wonderful and very patient with waiting for us, taking our pictures, and watching our bags! Overall very accommodating, attentive, and an excellent driver! Also, our tour guide, Kadek, was great! Hiking in the dark was something my friend and I were originally a little worried about doing (since we’ve never done something like this before), but Kadek was super reassuring the entire journey and made the hike enjoyable and fun while ensuring we were safe! He was great with giving us water breaks while moving at a good pace suitable for us, and the hike never felt rushed. The views were stunning and watching the sky turn from pitch black to sunrise at the top was an experience I’ll never forget. Kadek was also great at taking photos for my friend and I, and took us to different parts of the mountain with stunning views! I felt like I was in a movie with the views from the hike! Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Bali!

        Mount Batur & Coffee Plantation
Excellent experience from start to finish. First our driver Mk Angga that collected us was so accommodating. Really friendly gave us great recommendations and left us sleep after our early pickup while traveling. Can’t recommend our tour guide Iwan enough. An absolute gentleman that gave us all the history of the volcanos eruptions and local history. Really looked after us with coffee beforehand and hot chocolate and breakfast on reaching the summit. We made good time climbing so encouraged us to do the longer loop which added another 1.5km of stunning scenery. 5 start service thank you!

        Thank you Yogi!
We had an amazing time on this hike. Our guide Yogi was a delight. She was very kind, made sure we had the best viewpoints, photos and videos taken and even held my hand when the trail was very steep and slippery to make sure I made it up and down safely. Would absolutely recommend you do this! Be aware physical fitness is important for this hike! Straight up to the summit, very slippery and rocky. Enjoy!

Our tour guide (Wayan) picked us up from the hotel in Kuta sharply at 1.45 AM. He was so friendly and explained to us the tour itinerary. It was a two hour drive to the hike starting point. Then, we went on a hike to the top with a hiking guide (different from the tour guide). After the sunrise trekking, we went to a coffee plantation where we had nice coffee and tea. Then, we went to the jungle swing and had more fun. The tour guide also took us to a local restaurant where we had some authentic Indonesian food at a very cheap price. The food was very tasty and flavorful. I recommend this tour package. Special thanks to the guide for taking care of us throughout the trip.

We had a great time on the Mount Batur hike, it was a little cloudy at sunrise but still beautiful and the hike down with views of lake Batur was the most beautiful sight I’ve seen in Bali. The trek up wasn’t too difficult but it’s cold at the top so would recommend a jacket and pants. Our driver Mahendra was great and our guide Made was wonderful!

Our guide Made (pronounced Mah-Deh) was warm, reliable, thoughtful, helpful, encouraging and all-round wonderful! He is already a grandpa but he was so fit and positive, and even held my wife's hand and helped her along all the steeper parts of the climb so that we could reach the summit in good time for the sunrise. He has a good command of English and communicated his experiences and knowledge well. At no point did we feel lost or not taken care of. We would highly recommend asking for him when booking a hike up Mount Batur!

We were picked up from our hotel at 1.45am. Our driver Jero Kadek Arcana knew that we were still sleepy so gave us a brief run through of the schedule so we could sleep a bit more before the hike. Once we got there he helped us look for our tour guide who was wonderful. My shoes had no grip and were constantly slipping on the gravel on the way down. Our tour guide was holding my hand the whole way down to help me from falling. He was extremely patient with me.

Please bring shoes with grip for this hike and bring warm clothes for when you're at the top of the volcano. Also, get a walking stick if you can it'd be extremely helpful. You can hire a jacket for 50k before the hike and some of the tour guides provide you with a walking stick.

Our driver, Jero then took us to the hot springs however because I got my periods midway through the hike I couldn't swim at the springs so he took us to a lovely restaurant overlooking the volcano instead. Jero was very accomdating and friendly. He explained to us the ceremonies and cultural traditions in Bali. On the drive home we were both sleeping and Jero was being super quiet. We recommend Jero as your driver!

This tour was simply brilliant and is a must whilst in Bali!

We were picked up by our driver Dewi directly from our hotel at 02:30am (It’s an early start BUT TOTALLY WORTH IT) she left us alone to sleep in the car in the 90 minute drive from ubud. Once we arrived we were introduced to our guide Dennis and given a bottle of water and a head torch each before beginning the ascent.

Just one word of warning, we saw a few reviews that advised that the climb was fine for all fitness levels, however this climb is HARD. My wife and I have average/ok fitness levels and we had to stop multiple times on the way up, and there were other groups saying the same thing as us.

Our guide Dennis was fantastic, he was always making sure we were ok and let us stop to rest whenever we wanted to. He even took my wife’s backpack to carry and took her hand to help her up throughout a part of the climb that she really struggled with. Once at the top he took us away from the main crowd of people slightly for our breakfast which we thought was a nice touch as it made the sunrise views feel a lot more private to us! He also has some fantastic photography skills to help you get some great photos of the sunrise!
He was really easy to talk to and really knowledgable about the area and even showed us the farm he lives at in the way down. Nothing was too much of an ask for him so I would encourage anybody booking this tour to ask for him if you can.

The views themselves were absolutely stunning, they make the climb in the dark completely worth it and you also have quite a bit of time spent at the top to take in the crater and the black lava field below as well.

Once we were back down dewi took us to the hot springs where she was happy to wait whilst we were able to relax for a few hours.

Overall it was a fantastic trip which I could not recommend more!

We climbed Mount Batur to see the sunrise on a slightly wet morning in late December.

The 2am pick-up is brutal but overall the trip is well worth the early night the day before.

Our driver Sentana was great and after 90 minutes driving across dark rainy Bali we reached the base camp and started up at around 3:45am.

Be prepared, the climb is a steep one in places and you will definitely get out of breath! It was certainly a challenge in some wet / muddy patches and we loved getting the exercise but it may be too much for some people. There are multiple stop offs and opportunities for refreshment however.

Once we reached the top we sat down a full 40 minutes before sunrise and watched as the landscape slowly came into view.

Breakfast is coffee, some fruit, a banana sandwich and boiled egg - pretty simple but it does the job!

A few minutes before sunrise we made the final ascent to get the full effect of the view and take a look into the volcano crater. It’s a stunning view but this is when you will see just how many other people have climbed up.

We came down the mountain shortly after sunrise (the trip down was much easier and no longer raining thankfully) and made it to the hot springs before anyone else. Having the place entirely to ourselves was fantastic after the tiring trek!

Would 100% recommend this trip to anyone looking for a bit of adventure and an amazing view.

If you like to hike and want an unforgettable experience, this is for you! Our driver picked us up on time and drove carefully; we made it up the volcano in plenty of time to see the sunrise. Even though the clouds kind of ruined that part for us, the view was worth it and it was very cool to see and feel the steam coming out from the earth. Our guide, Made, was fantastic- very encouraging and kept us going at a good pace. Two caveats: 1) I probably wouldn't do this hike if you're not in reasonably good shape ( you don't have to be an Olympian, but it's not like you're climbing a small hill); 2) Even though you will sweat on the way up, once you get up there it can be very cold- I thought I had enough clothing, but we ended up renting a blanket on top, which I also recommend. All in all, this is absolutely worth doing- it will forever be a great memory for us!

We did the sunrise Mount Batur walk, followed by a trip to the hotsprings, a visit to a coffee plantation/shop and a stop off at a lovely restaurant on the way home. The communication prior to the trip was great- with messages from both the founder of the company and our driver the day before and the morning of pickup with updates. The ride up from Ubud to Mount Batur was very smooth and I managed to get a bit of extra sleep to make up for the 2am start. When we arrived we were introduced to our guide (Kadek) who took us up at our own pace, providing us with water at the start and a breakfast when we neared the top. He gave us lots of information whilst up there and not only got us into a great position to watch the sunrise but also took plenty of photos (planned and unplanned) which looked amazing. After this the hot springs were a great way to refresh and our driver (Mahendra) was happy to give us as long as we wanted there. We then had a coffee tasting visit and an opportunity to purchase some to take home (with absolutely no sales pressure which was nice). Mahendra then asked if we were hungry and recommended a restaurant to stop off at (Waroeng D’yoni)- the views here were lovely and the food was even better, probably the best nasi goreng I have had! I would really recommend this trip- the experience was great and everyone was so friendly and helpful.

Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking were amazing on our sunrise hike today. Owned and operated by people who live on the mountain, Sentana our driver knew the roads in the dark so well arrived when he said he would, Jero our informative guide was helpful in the many steep and slippery parts, he took great photos with some amazing effects, he knew when to do ascend, where to be to avoid the crowds, there was lots to love.

Mt Batur Sunrise Trekking saved the day after another trekking company failed to collect as promised the morning before. Great communication, can highly recommend

My fiancé and I feel SO very fortunate and grateful to have had Kadek as our guide on an exceptionally special day on Mount Batur. I proposed to my longtime girlfriend during a sunrise hike and it would not have been the same with anyone else but Kadek who was attentive to every detail and made the moment absolutely unforgettable and perfect in every way! In addition to being a supremely knowledgeable guide (who knew all of the best routes/places to watch the sunrise, always prioritized safety in dicey spots, checked in frequently to make sure the pace was good, and timed the trip to summit with the sunrise perfectly) but he is ALSO an equally exceptional person whose kindness, generosity, and amiable nature will never be forgotten, sincerely! It felt like we were hiking with a longtime friend by the end of the trip which was filled with many laughs and thoughtful conversations. He also went above and beyond expectations and kindly took many photos during/after proposal that were so skillfully composed and have become some of our most valued memories from our trip to Bali. Its hard to truly capture our day or express our gratitude in words, but please know that if you want the most memorable, personal experience on Mount Batur (or any adventure Kadek might offer to those visiting Bali) then look no further and rest assured that you are in the best of care. Through our 2week trip to Bali in which we had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with so many pleasant guides/locals, Kadek's personality, friendliness, intelligence, and dedication will always be remembered above all and is what sets him and the experiences he offers above all the rest. THANK YOU my friend! 🙏
