- CoffsMum0 contributionsGreat family day outWaterbom is fantastic, we spent a whole day there, 2 adults & 3 teenagers - paid extra for a gazebo which was worth getting, I liked that it had a safe & was a guaranteed "base" for us to keep towels, eat meals, rest, etc. Very clean grounds & fun slides for all ages, waiting times for some rides were 5 - 10 minutes, otherwise no wait times. Friendly staff & the photo package is worth getting too.Written 26 January 2025

- ksbunter670 contributionsOne for the whole familyWe were on a holiday with one of our grandchildren to look at if it was suitable for when more of family come over later in the year. Overall it was a great experience with something for all ages. The gazebos are a great asset for a family group but the rest of the facilities are more than adequate to cope with what you may need if you don’t get one. The rides are a lot of fun and most areas are well shaded. It was a great day outWritten 23 January 2025
- barendm20250 contributionsGreat fun for the kidsBrought the kids here and they had a blast. There were many rides to choose from so they didn't get bored one bit. I enjoyed watching them have a great time. The food was also excellent.Written 23 January 2025

- Jayemgee0 contributionsFun at an affordable priceWaterbom had many slides to choose from and we were lucky that it wasn’t too busy - we waited a maximum of 15 minutes for the more popular slides (including the stair climb). There was a staff member everywhere you looked waiting to help you. The food options were amazing at affordable prices with again many staff members ready to serve you. My Nasi Goreng was approx $5.50 AUD. I would highly recommend Waterbom for a day out while in Bali.Written 21 January 2025

We had fun playing there from morning to night with two adults and two children. Even if the sliders are moderate, it is better to think of them as extreme by Japanese standards. Even if you are over the height limit, it may be recommended that you are at least in the upper grades of elementary school. Depending on the season, the wind can be cold, so we recommend that you bring a jacket. All payments in the park are made with a wristband, but if you do not charge it in advance, you will have to go back to get your wallet from the restaurant at the back to the locker at the first entrance, so be careful. If you charge it at the beginning at the counter called Top Up, you can get a refund later, so it's a good idea to put in a little more than you need (we put in 1,000,000 rp = 10,000 yen and got 400,000 rp back).

We visited this water park yesterday, and cannot fault it in any way. Every single member of staff are polite and courteous and engage with every person with a smile an every ride we went on. Sometimes you see employees who look as sick a a chip who can't be bothered to be there, not here. The rides are great accommodating all ages, and the place is kept spotlessly clean all the time. We had lunch in the park and the food was lovely. The whole park is set up with a very clever wristband system, where you load up your money onto an digital system and can top it up all around the park throughout the day, and on your way out, you hand your wristband in, and they refund you on cash. We never had to wait more than 15 minutes or so for a ride, and for the extreme rides, we were more or less straight on. I recommend you pre book tickets etc online s the park was full and they were restricting the amount of walk ins. If you have pre booked tickets, leave your name at the front of the queue and wait 5 or 10 minutes and they will call you out. All in all a great value for money family day out, our 14 year old loved it and so did I. Would definately recommend and will definately be going back before we leave bali.

Amazing experience for adults and kids, the only small issue was the check-in experience for online ticket purchases, took 15 minutes in a queue where the walk in counter queue was almost empty.
You will need to charge your wrist band with money (can be done online or at the entry building) as you can't use cash or a credit card for anything within the water park (including your locker and towel hire).
The new slides towards the back of the park were less busy than the older ones at the front.
Loved the day, will certainly be back.

Visited with my 20y old and 17y old.
I was impressed with the facility and staff.
Everything is well organised, safe and maintained.
Adult cost was about $44 Aus (Adult) and was easy to book either via their web site or I saved a couple of dollars per ticket on a travel app called Klook. Was also well worth the $35 Aus for a small cabana for the day, which includes a small safe as you would find in a hotel room. Other cabana sizes are also available. Would recommend the family cabana for only an extra $10 per day for 4-6 people. These can be booked on their app or as I did on arrival as they keep half available for walk in’s. Towels rented for $1 Aus per day and a locker if needed.
Money for the park is all placed on a wrist band for cashless payments, with any left over money refunded at the end in cash. Money on your wristband can be topped up at any time during the day at particular points in the water park.
Life guards were attentive and safety appeared to be a priority, which was good to see in the pools and by staff at the top and bottom of the rides. Always with a smile as well.
We have been to numerous water parks in different locations and this was certainly in my opinion one of the better one’s for price, ambiance and cleanliness.
Highly recommend for day out on Bali.

We had an excellent day despite it being Waterbom’s busy season (sold out day). We bought our tickets online (direct from park) before arriving in Bali including booking a gazebo which turned out to be a good thing as all gazebos sold out several days before. Having the gazebo was fantastic and well worth the extra $60-$80 AUD for our party of 6 as it gave us a base to leave our things including a safety deposit box. And was great to bring food and drinks back to eat there.
Despite being such a busy day we did not find the lines too long, longest was maybe 1/2 hour for the slide with the large yellow tubes that fit 4 people, this was the most popular slide. But many other options with much shorter lines.
My teenage son was able to go on every single ride in the park by about 2-3pm.
The teenagers liked the scary slides and there was plenty to suit mid- range kids and adults who like a little bit of thrill but not too scary.
We didn’t go to the kids area as all our kids are upper primary and above.
There are many food options in the park, we loved the gelato and Indonesian mie goreng.
Prices more expensive than on the street but still more than reasonable by AU standards.
Love the wristband system, we got extra wristbands for the teens so they could get drinks / food on their own.
Hassle free getting extra credit refunded at the end of the day.
Staff were friendly and helpful and kind to the children going on the slides.
The paths and general areas were very clean.
This water park is run better than any theme park or water park we have been to in Australia and is a credit to the management.

So good we went twice during our holiday in Bali.
Well run, very clean. My husband and myself and daughter (8) did all the slides with the inflatable rings, twin racer on the mats and the green viper.
Never been to a water park like this, temperature is perfect for spending the day on the slides and swimming.
Recommend doing python first thing as the queues for this get longer through out the day. The other tower with boomerang and the drop you could
Almost continuously keep sliding (esp the drop) if you had the energy to keep going up the steps.
You can’t take your own food but it is all reasonably priced and kid friendly. Also the Oasis pool area cafe catered to making gluten free veggie pizza.
Get in early if you want a lounger or book well in advance if you want a gazebo.
They have a wrist band you load money onto and use throughout the day and then you get a cash refund.

Our family recently visited Waterbom Park, and we were all very impressed. The rides were well maintained, the park was immaculate, and plenty of staff were visible throughout the day!
Additionally, despite the park being at total capacity on the day of our visit, we were pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of the ride queues. Waiting times never exceeded 40 minutes, a remarkable feat compared to our experiences at Australian theme parks.
Extra Notes/Tips:
Don’t bother bringing your kids 'floatation devices' there's plenty there you can use free of charge, and they seem to be extra buoyant!
Also, be sure to make time to unwind in the Oasis Garden area in the afternoon and enjoy a cocktail as the sun goes down! It’s the perfect way to end a day filled with fun and laughter.

Fantastic day out family of eleven from grandparents down to three year old. There was something for everyone, however we found that smaller 5-8 year olds were prohibited from a lot of rides because of their height and there was not a lot for them to do. There is a new section being built that hopefully will take care of this.
The park is cashless so we put AUD50 on our wristband to cover food and beverages and collected our unspent money on the way out.
All rides were well supervised and the whole park runs like a well oiled machine, even down to the toilets that had a full time janitor.
Food from restaurants was good and reasonably priced.
We arrived at 10am and left at 6pm. A great day out for the whole family.

Waterbom is a must do in Bali! We were there from open to close and feel like it went so fast!
The slides are all modern and well organized. Each slide had attendants at the bottom and top to help with any questions.
To go on all of the rides a minimum of 120cm is required, and only one ride with a minimum weight of 45kg (so you don’t get stuck in the ride itself).
Like all slides of course there are A LOT of stairs to climb, with most requiring you to carry the tube to the top. So for this fact, if you cannot navigate stairs it wouldn’t be a great day out for you. By the end of the day my legs were certainly glad the park was closing!
We hired a gazebo (number 50) by the oasis gardens which for us was a great location as it didn’t have a lot of people right in front. We had our own server and it was easy to order food and drinks from the comfort of the gazebo, and have it delivered to us. It cost approx $95 AUD on top of admission price.
Tip for gazebo: we were unable to book online as it kept saying online bookings full, so we arrived early to line up (45 mins prior to opening) and were able to book one on arrival/opening.
Now, they don’t let you take ANY food or drinks into the park except water. They will search every bag and not let you take anything in, so don’t waste your time taking any snack like we did eg chips, lollies, cola etc. The do however store your food for you and you can collect at the end of the day. They want you to spend in the park! For lunch we purchased 4 average lunches, 4 soft drinks and one large bintang and it cost about 800rp!
There are photographers throughout the park, and take your photo at the end of the slides. There are also rides with the action camera. You are provided with a wrist band and can collect your photos throughout the day by scanning your wrist band, and look at your photos at the end of the day via their kiosk. It’s really great! We bough the package at a cost of 450rp which included 2 printed photos and all the rest digital.
Last thing to note is they do not take cash anywhere in the park. You can get a wrist band and load money on to that, and pay for extras (food drinks etc) with the band. You are refunded and balance in the band at the end of your visit.
All that said, although a fairly expensive day out (for Bali standards) we loved it and will definitely return!

Nov 2023 • Solo
This was my second visit, my first was great, this was anything but.
I went to go on a couple of the more extreme rides and I had a metal button so was told I couldn’t ride two of the rides due to this. The option was to turn it inside out, they said you can do this here, I explained I just had swim shorts so could not unless I’d be done for indecent exposure which wasn’t going to happen, they said I could go right back to the changing rooms and change to their swim shorts - which I declined as it was a hassle, in fairness after discussions they refunded 25% of the price, but this could’ve been highlighted or mentioned somewhere prior to entering.
I was annoyed at this point as 2 of the best rides were out then I tried to ride the Python and another ride I can’t recall and the staff said I could not as I was as a solo guest under the 100kg required, which is an identical ride to many other parks in other countries, so failed to see why I couldn’t just join other guests in the “raft” but was flatly told no so 4 of the best rides I couldn’t use.
I then went to order lunch and had a wait but the price was debited yet my wristband wasn’t feeding through to the kitchen, a lot of wrangling and explaining the exact situations to each and every staff, at least 4 times and I at this point just wanted out of the park, at almost 1pm having planned to stay until 5/6pm but it was a comedy of errors and highly frustrating.
Then when I tried to get changed the key band wouldn’t work so that was something else to mess around with and change.
All in all a complete mess and maybe I got unlucky with things compounding but the level of communication is appalling and the staff need to be trained to allow solo travelers to be able to use the multi user rides, as management explained could be allowed but wasn’t relayed properly.
So I left with a bitter taste and sadly after the first really enjoyable visit, this was a day to forget and to never return to Waterbom, there’s better activities in Bali and the rides aren’t that exciting now.

Hi Alec,
Thanks for the feedback and we are sorry to hear your second visit seemed to have a few issues! Our team work hard to make sure you have a great day in the park, and sometimes (on rare occasions) things happen, eg, splashbands don’t work, or locker bands have a glitch, sounds like a few things compounded for you in one day though as you said!
Regarding the metal detail on the swimwear or shorts, we understand that it seems annoying, but it ensures our slides don’t get scratched and in turn leave scratches on our guests. And it is actually communicated in our e-tickets, our website and at the lobby area on our video screens, so we will see where else we can put it so you and others are aware in advance next time.
We definitely can cater to solo travelers/ riders, there are lots of rides in the park you can tackle alone, the ones you can’t like Python for example are purely because without the optimal weight in the tube you won’t make it through the slide and will get stuck halfway. Safety first!
All in all, we hope we can entice you back for a 3rd visit to experience a better day, but we have taken your feedback on board and will discuss with our team for improvements. Thank you!

This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
My wife and I both are non-swimmers. Which rides would be recommended keeping that in mind?

Hi, you should be fine with any rides, particularly the ones with rafts or tubes. Staff are always in hand at the bottom of slides to assist you out of the pools, which are about 4 feet deep. You’ll love it 😊

Yes you can book a gazebo online. It’s a separate option after booking your day pass/ticket - sits below on the ticket option menu. Alternatively, one you have your confirmation, you can go back in and book one. If all else fails, call ahead of time or turn up first thing on the day and organise one at the special kiosk. I recommend getting a gazebo as towels and a locker are included.
