We had Raysid as our tour guide, he was very accomodating and patient towards my Dad and I. Despite it being extreme heavy raining, we decided to push through, and it was the best decision we made.
Warm customer service from every restaurant and food stall we went to, and the food was delicious and enough portion size. You’ll guaranteed be full by the end of the tour, especially with the iconic betutu chicken dish. The chef was very friendly and welcoming, conversing with us and demonstrating his cooking process with the chicken. All Balinese locals were friendly which made the experience so much better.
Raysid was an excellent tour guide, entertaining and knowledgeable with different languages and cultures. He answered each of our questions with patience and taught us so much about the Balinese culture. He did his best to make our tour as comfortable as possible despite the circumstances (raining weather) and was very attentive of our needs. Would definitely recommend him as a tour guide for your Chef’s Tour in Bali.

We have been on food tours in other destinations as they are really good for cultural tips and information as well as tasting local dishes and they take you to places you may not normally find yourself. This one did not disappoint in all three points. Our top tip would to be to arrive hungry. We had a variety of dishes and were thrilled at seeing the local flower and food markets. Raysid our guide was excellent. He even organised our taxi back. The company recommend getting the Grab app for transport and they were certainly cheaper than the taxi company we got there. In summary - excellent.

I have done food tours in several countries and they are often the highlight of my visit. Bali Bites by A Chef’s Tour is no different. It is an excellent way to meet a local person to take you to excellent food venues that you would probably not know of, explore the city on foot, and gain the cultural and historical insights of the local guide. Raysid was our guide for this 4 hour tour. He was very punctual, friendly, and knowledgeable. My wife and I lucked out and we were the only two people on the tour that day so it was like a private tour. All the food we had along the way was amazing and the vendors/chefs were so friendly and inviting. Raysid took great care of us throughout the tour and even waited with us after the tour to make sure we caught our taxi back to our hotel okay. He even went above and beyond by sending us recommendations for our next stop, Ubud, via WhatsApp. We highly recommend this tour and Raysid as a guide!

What a cracking night out!! We visited some of the most amazing local vendors we could have hoped for. Our guide and the vendors are so passionate about the food (and home) of Bali it made us appreciate even more how lucky we were in being shown around like we were locals. Besides the fact the guide made us feel like rockstars when we arrived at each vendor, each of them were so happy to show westerners their real food of Bali. We ate so much food and we were so full, however the Pisang Goreng to finish was bloody amazing!
I cannot recommend this experience enough! Take the night away from the bars of Bali and be immersed in a wonderful experience, I promise you won't be disappointed!

This food tour was the highlight of our stay in Bali. Ris was a knowledgeable and friendly guide who gave us so many insights into Balinese food and culture. We took our one-year-old baby on the tour and he spontaneously picked her up and entertained her while we ate at each stop, making it a breeze for us.
When it comes to the food, the tour has everything you’d expect from a great food tour - delicious and varied food from street vendors, tiny warungs, family cooking and fresh food from a bustling night market.
Well worth the drive from other parts of Bali!

We visited many interesting places with many varied delicious food choices. The host was very knowledgeable and gave us a good overview of the city of Bali and insight into their traditions. At the end we visited a market place and the food just kept coming😅. We were exposed to many local food choices that we wouldn't have known to try ourselves.

What a great experience! I loved taking food tours in every city I am in, and when I saw this tour I knew I had to book it. And surely our guide Rasiyd gave us an awesome food tour. The Main Course they serve is just incredible, with Ketut who is a character to be remembered. Salut to the Chef's tour team for this amazing experience

I had a wonderful time tasting Balinese cuisine! My guide Raysid was very knowledgeable about local customs and culture, so the tour was both a food and local exploration experience. All the food choices tasted amazing and gave a broad overview of both local and national specialities. Also loved exploring the streets and market with its many fruits and desserts. Raysid was an excellent guide who made the experience fun and informative.
Highly recommend this tour as a great way to explore Bali's many nuances!

Our guide Ras was very knowledge and friendly. The different dishes we ate were delicious and of good portion. You will definitely be full after the tour. The only small suggestion I have is to offer a bit more variety as we had soups and sate twice, even though of different kinds.
But all in all, I would highly recommend this tour to everyone who wants to experience authentic Indonesian cuisine outside the regular touristic scene.

Booked this tour to experience Bali outside of the touristy areas and try Indonesian food and was not disappointed. The food choice was delicious and wide ranging and included explanations of what everything was and how its made. A highlight was the Betutu chicken cooked for 6 hours especially for us and wandering around the local market. Would recommend for anyone wanting to try Indonesian food outside of the tourist hot spots 😋
