        My dream trip!!
When I prepare my trip to India, I was reading various travel blog and this tour was introduced by someone travelled before the coronavirus pandemic. After reading about it, I wanted to go there myself, so I searched a lot, and when I found out that this tour was still in operation, I booked in. I was really looking forward to it, but it was a wonderful tour that far exceeded my expectations. I would confidently recommend it to anyone looking for a tour with a real desert experience. What impressed me was the open-air stretcher-style camp where you could sleep surrounded by the starry sky and full moon. Delicious vegetarian meals made from collected firewood. Wash the dishes with sand. Open-air toilet (toilet paper is difficult to completely burn off, so it is better to bring water separately for the Indian-style toilet. The water provided on the tour is precious, so please bring tap water in advance. ). The howling of a wild dog in the night. Camels spend the night freely in the desert. A camel driver goes to call the camels in the morning. A camel's bell chimes on a journey through the desert. Everything was great. I want to go again.

Great experience and value, and lovely people
We had an awesome time with Abay and his team. We trekked out to the desert for an hour and a half and enjoyed the delicious curry and best chai tea we’d had in India. The beds were warm and comfy overnight. We loved chatting with the guides around the camp fire, getting to know them and more about life in the desert. Highly recommend!

Best 2 day tour in India so far!
Amazing 2 day desert tour, I can not recommend enough! Once you have taken the jeep into the desert you will be met by camels ready to take you out into the dunes (mine was called Papaya, and he was so gentle). I have never ridden any animal so was a little worried beforehand but it was completely fine. Once on you camels you are out in middle of nowhere, which means you are back to camping basics which was so nice. All though back to basics, the guides work magic on the stove and are able to create great food on the open fire. The most memorable moment for me will be the sleeping under the stars on the second night, the sky was clear, there was no light pollution and it was deathly silent. If you are in Jaisalmer then definitely consider doing this tour!

        Sleeping under the stars!
Everything went well, jeep came on time and we visited all the places from the description. Dinner was a tasty buffet with quite few options and breakfast was basic. Ride to the sunset was very calm, I was sitting alone on a camel and guide was leading me with a rope. Keep in mind that one day trip will not take you to the deep deep desert, you're going to sleep on the dunes. But anyway sleeping there was the most amazing part, falling asleep with all the stars above me and waking up with the sunrise. After coming back to the city the company provided us a room in a guest house to take a shower and rest

        Best anniversary camel safari experience!!
Best camel safari in jaislmer! My wife and I had an excellent experience on our privately booked overnight trip. We celebrated our anniversary with a very nice guide trip, (optional private car) to the abandoned kuldhar village and a stop at the lake for pictures and a little walk around. Then met up with our wonderful guide Avy! He lead us on a nice late afternoon ride through the desert. Then we stopped at our camp for the night were snacks were prepared and plenty of light left for beautiful pictures! Proceeded by a scrumptious Indian style, open fire cook out. Food was great! And everything was handled with great professionalism and experience. If you’re looking for a great camel safari in jaislmer, Rajasthan? Look no further than the real camel man safari- Best, Rafael-

Amazing memory to have for life!
My desert tour was beyond amazing! The guide was so kind and showed us cool stuff about their culture. The sunset was unreal! Dinner was yummy, and we slept in beds under the stars. Waking up to the sunrise was magical. Overall, it was an awesome adventure I'll never forget! Would totally recommend!!

        Fabulous night in the desert
I thoroughly enjoyed this overnight desert safari tour. Everything from the staff, to the camel ride, to the dinner in the sand dunes, as well as sitting around the fire and staring at the stars late into the night. The beds and bedding provided were comfortable and meant you stayed warm and had a good night's sleep. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to Jaisalmer. It was well run and organised, so you could just enjoy yourself away from the hustle and bustle of the cities in Rajasthan.

Amazing tour, long camel ride, singing included
Amazing tour to Thar desert. So much fun singing with the old man while sitting on a camel. Nice sunset, could take some good pics. Only drop off jeep was really small for 6 well fed Western people.

What an amazing experience ! i would do it again !
What an experience. One of the high light of my trip to India. the entire team who was with us was wonderful. Sumer, the owner, really want to make your experience memorable and will go out of his way to help you ( transport, hotel, local restaurant, what to see in Jayselmer) Aby the guide, is wonderful. Nepal, Jeetu & Keshawn were amazing I've originally book a one day trip in the desert but i have extended it for a 2 nights and it was worth it !! I can't compare with the other group who offer similar experience but with Real Desert Man Camel Safari, you will have a great adventure. Don't forget sunscreen, light long clothes ( pants and shirt) and a scarf for the ladies The adventure : We have started with a Jeep ride to an abandoned village where we spend couple minutes there before making our way to the desert to meet our guide Aby and our camels. we ride for about 1 h to arrive to a little camp area in the middle of nowhere where Nepal and Jeetu was waiting for us with some food. we watch the sunset, enjoy great company around a fire and to finish in our bed under the stars !! ( it is cold in the desert so if you are a person who get cold easily, bring an extra sweater but they do have thick blankets for the night. ) After having Chai and breakfast, we went for a 2h camel ride to Aby's little traditional village in the desert and we his family. we get going for an other hour beofre reaching a quiet place for lunch. Aby show us how to do Chapati. the took a nap and explore the surrounding before making our way to the camp ground where we will enjoy a diner with a traditional dance and music performance from local artists. After a night in the traditional tent, they serve us breakfast and brought us back to the real Desert Man boutique

        Awesome desert experience👌👌
A perfect way to experience a camel ride. We did the two nights two days and were totally satisfied. The camels were comfortable and a source of constant amusement. Jeeto who seemed to coordinate the trip made sure everything we needed was provided and the camel leaders, Nepal especially, were very informative on the area and very good with the camels. The food provided was tasty and nutritious. Its was also a great place to meet people and we had 2 very enjoyable evenings with both fellow foreigners and locals alike. Thank you all so much. Keep on doing what you're doing 🙏🙏

The entire crew is very professional and friendly. Very helpful in guidance and eliminating hiccups during and beginning of the trip.
The place is a picturesque, golden landscape with the sun at the horizon gradually changing colors. Sunrise and sunset are peaceful add to it the thrill of dune bashing and camel rides.
The cultural program was engaging the group had astonishing feats and performances. They also take song requests and do justice to the suggested song.
Sky view in the night amazing, completely star-studded sky. Spotted a lot of shooting stars.
Also, the food is amazing with tasty dishes.
      Overall a beautiful experience.
Thank you Padam Ji for being an awesome host :)

Mr Sawai Singh is not just tour operator or a organiser ..he is a friend, a brother, an amazing host and more than a family member…with him on your side you need not have to worry about Jaisalmer stay….Thanks a ton for all that you have done.

Day Before Arrival : Got a call from Mr Singh and discussed about next couple of days itinerary …he also shared me the contact details of the person who will be picking us from railway station.

1st Day of Jaisalmer: We arrived at 5.30 am in the morning by train.. we immediately got a call from Mr Singh men who guided us to car..we were a team of 6 adults and 6 kids ..so accordingly 2 vehicles we arranged for all of us.
We were taken to Mr Singhs accommodation near fort , where in we were allotted decent rooms for short nap and bath, by 9 am we were ready and Mr Singh helped us to choose good restaurant for breakfast ..after breakfast a tour guide was arranged by My Singh who took us to Patwon Ki Haveli …guide was knowledgeable and a calm guy who explained in detail about the haveli…he took some good pics at popular locations….after haveli we were taken to Jaisalmer Fort which almost took around 2 hrs to visit popular location. At around 2pm we got a call from Mr Singh for Desert Camp Safari and we were asked to be ready by 3pm for pickup…accordingly we started at 3pm and on the way we were taken to Kuldhara and natural water body.
We reached the camp at 4.30..we were welcomed and served with drink
We were amazed to see the camp area and the tents placed there..tents were brand new and clean…the sanitary fittings and bath room was clean and tidy… the bed linens were clean with wooden furniture. The sitting area was excellently arranged. The tents overall were above our expectation. At sharp 5pm we were taken for Camel ride and Sand bashing …camel ride was a life time experience and kids enjoyed sand bashing a lot….at around 7pm we were taken back to base camp and we were welcomed for Rajasthani cultural program ..we were served with delicious snacks and tea…after some great performance and events.. we were served dinner buffet..which was hot and delicious.

2nd Day : We were served with morning tea and were asked to be ready for breakfast by 8.30am …we started from camp towards Jaisalmer by 9.30am …that was the end of the amazing camp stay with Real Man Desert Camp.

Even though our association was over on 2nd day ..but Mr Singh was in constant touch with us ..he suggested good restaurants for local non veg food (We had an amazing mutton dish which was so homely cooked ) and shopping areas…he even arranged for transportation to railway station on next day.

Even after weeks’ time I get greeting messages daily from Mr Singh….I highly recommend Real Desert Man Camel Safari.

It was an outstanding desert experience. Proper desert experience it was, one and half hour Camel ride to the dunes, sleeping under the stars, with no electricity away from all the busy city life. Real Desert Man's this desert safari was one of the best moments from my Rajasthan trip. Night at the desert was so entertaining with the camel people singing and telling stories.
We woke up to a beautiful sunrise amidst the sand dunes and got a handful of pictures. Morning tea and breakfast in the desert was always my bucketlist item, thanks to Real Desert Man for making it come true. Thanks to their always pleasant staff, Pream, Mickel, Abayji, Jeevan and Nepali for spreading happiness and entertainment throughout our stay.
To all the traveller's who in look for desert experience in Rajasthan, I do suggest Real Desert Man as the best option.

First of all, the experience in the desert was as advertised and not disappointing. After driving to the desert in a truck, we had some time to relax in our very comfortable tent bed before heading out to the dunes to ride camels. We then spent some time taking photos on the dunes and rode the camels back to camp as the sun set. The evening show was great and the food was delicious.

Secondly, Sawai helped arrange everything for us after our desert trip. He even provided us with a room to rest for a few hours and take a shower before arranging a driver to take us to the train station.

Amazing hospitality and a great experience!

Amazing Real Desert Man Safari Tour
We booked the Real Desert Man Camel Safari with Sawai Dan Ji in October 2023 while my husband and I were in Los Angeles, USA for our trip in December 2023. It was extremely easy to be in touch with him on whatsapp. He answered our calls and questions promptly and very professionally. Sawai Dan Ji even helped us arrange for a taxi and an excellent guide Kailash to pick us up from Jodhpur airport around 1:30 pm on December 25th. Kailash was very familiar with Jodhpur City and its sites. He took us to Mehrangarh Fort, Ghanta Ghar, Sarda Market and the Step Well before dropping us at the Marriott around 8 pm. The next day we were picked up by a taxi arranged by Sawai Dan Ji to take us to the Real Desert Man Safari’s office in Jaisalmer. We arrived in time to start our trip to the campsite in a jeep. On the way we stopped to explore the abandoned Kuldhara Village and its adjoining lake before reaching the Camp site where we were greeted ceremoniously, offered tea and guided to our Swiss tent which was equipped well with amenities despite being in the desert for a safari. Next was the approximate twenty minute camel ride to the sand dunes where we watched the sunset taking beautiful photos. The camel ride or jeep ride options were there for returning to the campsite which had been set up for a very engaging and interactive entertainment while being served snacks in the arena followed by an excellent dinner. The next morning, we were served a delicious meal before we headed out to Jaiselmer. Sawai Dan Ji was always available to assist in any way as were all the others who were very attentive, making sure we were comfortable. We had a fabulous and most memorable experience.

I had a wonderful experience with the real desert man camel safari tour. The luxury tour included a stop at an abandoned village and lake, a desert jeep ride to the campsite, a sunset camel ride to the dunes, and an evening of a Rajasthani cultural experience with traditional dance and music. The dinner was lovely, and accommodation was also great, especially considering we were staying in the middle of the desert. All of the staff were warm, welcoming and clearly loved what they do.

After the evening came to a close, my partner and I went to find a darker spot to do some star gazing - it would be amazing if this was also an option in the itinerary as it is so rare to be in a location with such little light pollution.

Overall I highly recommend booking this experience. It is great value for money and the perfect opportunity to escape from the business of Rajasthan’s bustling cities for a night or two. A highlight of our trip for sure.

We had a memorable three nights trip (2 nights in the desert and one night in the fort) with Real Desert Man Camel Safari. Found Swai Dan, the owner, extremely knowledgeable in suggesting precise tailor made itinerary as per our interests, based on his hands on experience of several years.
Thoroughly enjoyed our two nights stay in the newly created camp accommodation in the desert some fifty kilometres from Jaisalmer. Comfortable tented bedrooms with king-size bed and beautiful furniture with provision of electric kettle for making tea/coffee anytime. Bathroom was also big enough with geyser and other toiletries. Would easily give five stars to this luxurious accommodation in the desert.
Swai Dan and everyone in his team, makes one feel comfortable and at home. Impressed with driving of all the drivers who were so well versed with the local terrain. Both my wife and I being senior citizens were well taken care of everywhere including our long road trip to Tanot Mata Mandir and Longewala. So highly recommend this reliable company.

We visited western Rajasthan primarily for 2 reasons--forts and desert. Thanks to Real Desert Man Camel Safari and a special shout out to Sawai Dan ji, to make this visit a memorable one. Sawai ji and his team not only gave a warm hospitality during the overnight desert safari camping, but also made sure that the whole trip was comfortable and safe. He arranged all the transport for us and provided tour guides wherever required.
Anyone visiting Rajasthan, make sure to contact Sawai ji, if you want to have a hospitable and homely, yet adventurous desert land experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed this excursion. We spent time talking to Sumer before heading off who is very friendly and funny. We then took a jeep to visit the abandoned village. Some structure here might have been useful (e.g. a guide) so we know what to visit and understand more about the site, but it was still very impressive. We were then driven to our tents which were excellent and very spacious.

The camel ride for sunset was magical and led by an experienced and friendly individual who took great photos.

The evening dinner and cultural events were excellent. The buffet had many lovely options and the musicians and dancer were so talented. Our only slight gripe was that we never received the complimentary drink so ended up paying for our drinks having thought the first was free!

Overall, this is a really fun experience, very different to anything else we have done in India and run by friendly staff. We were also fortunate to be alongside some other very nice travellers that made the whole experience even better.
