Angkor and Temples Cycling Tour
USD 49.00
Escape the confines of a stifling bus tour to Angkor Wat on this guided cycling tour of Siem Reap’s major temples and archaeological sites. Starting in Siem Reap, the tour travels through thick jungle along rugged back roads in order to see temples concealed by the forest before emerging at the UNESCO listed Angkor Archaeological Park. See other temple highlights including the Bayon Temple and Ta Prohm before returning to town.
What to Expect

Adventure along the jungle trails
After you arrive at Unique Adventure Shop, your guide will explain your tour itinerary, set you up with a mountain bike, and then we will begin the tour from our shop. We will cycle through the jungle along rugged back roads in order to see temples concealed by the forest.

Angkor Wat Discovery
After a short ride, we will walk through Angkor Wat and explore the central temple complex. Your guide will lead you back in time in order to share with you the history of Angkor Wat and explain why Angkor Wat is so unique among the Angkorian temples.

Temples and Local People
After our visit to Angkor Wat, we will continue to bike at a leisurely pace to a tranquil village deep inside Angkor park. Along the way, we will pass orchards, rice fields, and vegetable gardens before reaching the South Gate of Angkor Thom, a beautiful spot for photo opportunities. We will then bike over to the West Gate of Angkor Thom and visit Bayon temple, known as the “Face Temple,” due to the many enigmatic smiling faces that adorn the temple. We will take a short break after visiting Bayon temple and have some local fruits to replenish your energy.
Afterward, we will have lunch before going to see Ta Prohm, the temple famous for its strangler fig trees. Following our visit to Ta Prohm, an exciting countryside trail will lead you to the end of the bike tour. We will return late in the afternoon to town by vehicle or tuk-tuk.

Awesome Tour

Great tour starting with a hotel pick up and sunrise at Angkor Wat. Tour guide, Som, was extremely knowledgeable, very nice and personable. Biking was enjoyable and allowed us to see more sights than most tours in a short time. Definitely recommended.
