About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- S8255KMericc0 contributionsGreat experience in AngkorWat with Sophy and Mr Cheat.January 20 2025. The day was beautiful for a visit to Angkor Wat. We took a tuktuk driven by Mr. Cheat. And, our guide was Sophy. The tuktuk was very clean and cold towels and cold bottles of water were provided, both welcome relief as the day became hotter. Sophy our guide gave us informative lectures on the history of the temple and was very patient with us throughout the tour, especially taking photos and videos. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and we highly recommend both Sophy and Mr Cheat.Written 19 January 2025
- juliagC4331GR0 contributionsMajestic must seeHad a great day out. The driver was friendly full of smiles and he could see I was hot and gave me a cold towel which was refreshing and Nak the guide had so much knowledge I enjoyed finding out about the history of Angkor Wat and actually hearing about Nak being a monk. There is a lot of walking and steep stairs just tell your guide if you need to rest or not do as much climbing.Written 19 January 2025
- Nomad136763634450 contributionsTonle Sap Lake - brilliant half day experience. We had an absolutely fabulous experience on this tour with our family of four including two sons aged 19 & 21. Our guide Sophy spoke fantastic English and he shared his deep knowledge of the local area and Cambodian culture throughout the tour. Our driver Reaksmy was awesome - professional, safe and very friendly. It is currently the dry season, so the water level is well below its maximum, but the benefit of this was that we could walk through the village and see the detail of the elevated houses and vibrant village life at this time of year. We stopped at a bustling local market on the way to the lake which was another fantastic way to get a glimpse of local life. We took a boat to a floating restaurant on the lake where we stopped for some drinks and more fascinating local information from Sophy. We couldn’t fault this experience. It exceeded our expectations and we strongly recommend this tour with Sophy and Reaksmy.Written 18 January 2025
- AlexR19640 contributionsDon’t miss this amazing tour! Thanks Sophy!I would strongly recommend this tour!! It’s an easy way to view Angkor Wat and two other temples as well. You get to skip the long walk (extra 3km) and drive right up to Angkor Wat in the tuk tuk. Our guide Sophy picked us up right on time and dropped us off back at our hotel after a great day of touring. Sophy made the day smooth and was very knowledgeable about the history of each temple. Any question we asked, he had an answer for and he was great company! Thank you Sophy for a lovely, memorable day!Written 18 January 2025

He is such a pleasure to be with and so knowledgeable and so happy to share his knowledge with you! I would not hesitate to book a tour with him as your guide. - ablackking830 contributionsAn amazing tour with an amazing tour guideMy tour guide was amazing. He was very informative and there was no language barrier, especially with me being an English speaker. He accommodated me very well. I would definitely recommend his services and the services of his company to anyone. He was also even able to give me some great locations to eat great Cambodian food. I had a wonderful time.Written 15 January 2025
- chilledowt0 contributionsTonne Sap lake and Kampon Phluk market, half day private tour.We were collected promptly from our hotel by Sorphea, our guide and Sopheak, the driver. The vehicle was modern, clean and air conditioned. Sorphea spoke perfect English and explained many things along the way, including some general unrelated questions about our time in Cambodia. Sopheak’s driving at all times was safe and confidence inspiring. In January the water level is quite low, but you can still see how the villagers live on the stilts.Written 15 January 2025
- H4515JKpaull0 contributions100% professional, safe, and reliable; they will wait for you if your plane is lateI requested the car pick-up services by Green Era Travel three times while in Cambodia. Every time they were impeccably professional, even though both of my flights were late, and I had a late ferry. They patiently waited for me, were safe and reliable, and used professional drivers with proper vehicles who were safe and skilled drivers. Anytime I had a question or concern, they were quick to message me back. That is hugely important when traveling in Cambodia, where the local taxis and tuk tuks are risky to use and prone to scams. I 100% recommend!Written 15 January 2025
- jogeshraja0 contributionsGreat tour of Tonle Sap lake and Cambodian village.Sophy was a knowledgeable guide who took time to explain history of local village, lake and river. Had good command of English and explain slowly and clearly and answered all our questions. Peab was a very safe driver who took care of our water needs and provided cold towels. Boat driver (I don’t know his name) took us around the lake was quite but courteous and helped us get on and off the bat. We felt very safe in his boat.Written 15 January 2025
- Excursion5834440 contributionsEssential tour for Siem Reap travellers!Excellent trip to Tonle Sap lake and the village on stilts! Aside from Angkor Wat, this is a must visit for travellers staying in Siem Reap. Our guide Dy was incredibly knowledgeable and provided a fascinating insight into Cambodia’s history and his own personal experiences under the Khmer Rouge regime, which were very moving. Kampong Phluk was a sight to behold, as was the vastness of Tonle Sap lake. We also opted to do the canoe ride through the mangrove which was good fun and provided some great photos. Highly recommend the whole experience and thanks again to Dy and the driver!Written 14 January 2025

We booked on for this trip the day before going. It's a very early start - you get picked up from your hotel at 4.30ish - to make sure you have time to get tickets and a good spot to watch the sunrise. Our guide was Youhan (Han). He is very knowledgeable and approachable - he balanced the serious stuff with a good dose of comedy and was happy to talk about all things Cambodian, not just temples.
A few people we spoke to about the sunrise trip were in 2 minds as to whether it was worth the effort. However, when you factor in the amazing views and the fact that you can get most of your exploring done before the day really starts to heat up, then it makes a lot more sense (and I'm definitely NOT a morning person!).
If you get a chance, go for it and get a good guide (ie Han!).

This is a trip that’s I can’t recommend highly enough. Seeing the sun rise was a fantastic experience, followed by a whole day of temple trekking. Our guide, Choub, was equal parts energetic and informative, imparting interesting information not just about the various sites we visited, but also Cambodian customs and society more generally. I won’t spoil the details here, but you’d be remiss to not book this tour.

Not overly one for reviews, but this trip and guide were so good it was worth reviewing.
I booked this trip the day before I was due to go. It is an early start it must be said, and whilst half asleep I was met by my guide Mr. Phy, a friendly local. He was very knowledgeable about the temples in which we visited and always open to questions. My initial thought was I was going to hate the trip due to being up so early but Mr Phy the whole experience a thoroughly enjoyable. The views were amazing and Mr.Phy was happy to stop and take pictures throughout to which there were quite a lot of opportunities. Mr.Phy also at times suggested other photo opportunities which when looking back at made for really class pictures. I would most definitely recommend this trip and the guide who was serious when telling the history but also funny throughout which was a nice mixture, especially with the early start.

My friend and I visited Cambodia and we knew a must see was Angkor Wat at sunrise. We were not disappointed. It was absolutely breathtaking! Our guide Mr. Marin was great. He picked us up from the hotel we were at and we started making our way to the complex in an air conditioned car with a driver. We thought there were going to be more people in the tour, but it was just us! We got our own private tour! Mr. Marin was great, he knew so much about the history and took us to many of the different temples within the complex, including the less visited ones. It was nice to go off the beaten path and get away from some of the really tourist spots. Both Marin and our driver were so happy and always had a smile on their face. I would recommend this tour to everyone!
Just one piece of advice for ladies: you are not allowed to use scarves to cover up your shoulders and knees. You must be wearing clothing that covers them. I was wearing a shorter skirt and a t-shirt and a large scarf/swimsuit cover around my skirt and legs. But, security said I could not go up to the top of the temple because of my shorter skirt. Luckily I had other pants in my bag and I was able to put those on. This rule was made because some tourists would wear a scarf and then take it off once they climbed up the stairs to the top of the temple.

The tour was well organized and Han, the tour guide, had been a monk for a short period, so added to the experience with his knowledge.
I was alone on the sunrise portion, and it was ok. Glad I did it and got some good pictures, but it's overrated.
For the others on the day part of the tour, young and hardy, it's an unforgettable experience. For a 78 year old, with a bad knee and AFIB, it was six hours of torture. But I did it, and have the t-shirt to prove it.

This tour was fantastic. Very insightful with a very well educated guide who added so much information on the history of Cambodia and the Khmer people. Highly recommend if you want more than a basic history of the temples. Also a fabulous photographer! Thank you San!

I had an amazing time with this tour. Our group was able to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat. Then, we later saw Angkor Wat with a great guide Sorphea. He took his time and had great details about each temple that we visited. I would recommend this tour to anybody that I know.

Hi!
Which are the Temples that will be covered apart from Angkor Wat?
There will be hotel pick up between 4-5am , will we be sent back to our hotel too because that section is “blank” in the TA description and if we will be sent back to the hotel, what time will it be, approximately?
Thank you.

Hi! What is the specific itinerary for this tour?
Just to confirm, we do not need to get our tickets the night before to enter the complex?
Have a great day.
Written 18 December 2018
Hi
You get collected from your hotel early in morning, where you go an purchase your ticket. You then get taken to Angkor Wat to watch the surmise (amazing). You get taken back to your hotel for breakfast, then collect again for visit to temples. All in all would say a good 6hrs . Hope this helps.

Hello,
Do we need to buy the ticket to enter the temples beforehand or can we buy the ticket on the day?
Thanks,
Kenioe
Written 4 October 2018
Hi. If you take this tour, the guide will pick you up at your hotel and bring you to the Ticket Center that opens at 5 am to get you the temples' entry pass on the day of your tour itself. You have to personally go to the ticket counter since your pass will be printed with your own picture.

Written 16 August 2018
Hi there, we are coming for our honeymoon and were just wondering what time this tour wold end and if we could get back in time to make a flight at 8:10pm? Also, would one day be enough? Many thanks :)
Written 14 August 2018
Hi, you can end the tour when you want, just tell your guide. We ended our tour early because it was so hot. We only did one day and were exhausted. It would’ve been better to do it over a few days because there is so much to see.
