Overview
Old Dubai is a hub for various Middle Eastern cuisines, making it a must-visit for foodies. Yet, exploring its eating spots is difficult if you’re unfamiliar with Dubai's different areas and transport networks. This tour lets you dive in with no travel worries and a guide offers extra insight. Sample Iranian ice cream, Lebanese baklava, and more; visit restaurants and bakeries; and get tips on finding the best foods for later.
What to Expect
Meet your guide and others in your small group of six or fewer in central Deira in Dubai. Come hungry as the tastings amount to dinner.
Then, set off on foot to explore bustling Murraggabat. This colorful area is home to many different restaurants serving various Middle Eastern cuisines. Hear tales of the area’s gastronomy from your guide and visit several food spots to sample different dishes.
Let your taste buds revel in a cheese pastry and tahini-drizzled falafel filled with greens, as you hear about their roots and recipes. Savor some spicy Emirati meats and an Iranian ice cream studded with pistachio nuts. Plus, try gooey Lebanese baklava (honey-soaked filo parcels) and discover where to buy Iranian “sargol” saffron.
As you walk and taste, hear entertaining stories and trivia about the foods, learning about their flavors and place in Dubai’s culinary scene.
Your tour then concludes in Deira.

This is my second time doing this tour, 4 years ago and then again in Nov 2018. Both times exceeded expectations. The tour is very well run, efficient yet not rushed at all. You get a chance to go behind the scenes, even visiting the...More

There is one stretch that is a few blocks but most of the places are close together. The heat is going to be a challenge, but I would still recommend this tour. It was amazing. Pack a hat and ice water. Also- for a more... More
