          Everything was great!
Everything was great, from the ride from Dubai to Khasab to the boat cruise views of the majestic fjord and snorkeling in the warm calm water. The highlight was seeing the a pair of dolphins up close riding the wave along the boat — amazing.

          Beautiful scenery and amazing snorkeling!
Khalid and the dhow crew were super friendly and very attentive. The lunch was excellent. I wondered whether the duration of the cruise could be reduced slightly as six hours was a long time to be sat on a boat and I noticed a number of the passengers looking rather pale by the end of it.

          Wonderful day
My daughter and me spent a wonderful day cruising in the Musandam fjords. The driver arrived on time early in the morning to pick up us from Dubai and he helped us with the custom's operations at the frontier. We had to wait a bit in Khasab for the cruise because the other people of the group were late but we left with the dhow maximum 20 minutes after 10 am. The cruise was really very pleasant and the guys of the boat so friendly and helping, we enjoyed every thing. We saw plenty of dolphins, had two snorkeling stops, we could swim with lots of fishes and had a good meal. On board there were fruits and beverages without any limits. We can definitely recommand this tour, thank you again to the people has hosted us on the dhow!

          Fabulous.
Fabulous day out - a real must do! The scenery is awesome, the dhow boat was comfortable and relaxing and included lunch and continuous refreshments. You get to swim in the sea and watch dolphins.

          Would highly recommend!
This was an amazing trip and the highlight of our holiday! We have two teenagers and they both said this was their favourite day and the best excursion we did! The staff were great and very accommodating ; we had a speedboat ride to an exclusive and private cove, snorkelling, Kayaking, a banana boat ride and sea fishing! The buffet lunch food was great and there was always plenty of water and juice and snacks throughout the day! Would highly recommend!

Wonderful Experience! One of the best tours we've been on!
Wonderful! The crew for our tour was so very kind and helpful. They provided numerous snacks, beverages and a tasty lunch. Also gave us wonderful insight into the fishing villages and pointed out many interesting landmarks along the way. We had a chance to snorkel, swim and just enjoy the beauty of this region of the world. Would highly recommend. The only downside was that I booked this through Oceanair Travel and was told we only needed a copy of our passport. Fortunately, when the driver came to pick us up he asked if we had the originals, as that was what we would need to get through border crossings. So we ran back upstairs to grab the passports. Glad for that, or we may have had issues at the borders.

Extremely unpleasant to do business with. Constantly changing prices and charges at short notice. Hard to trust.
The agreed prices changed several times. Sudden hidden charges were brought up by the tour operator (Musandam Ravel) such as payment with credit card, payment with PayPal, prices on the website were simply ignored and imprecise description of age limit led to a constantly increase in total amount. Last price hike was demanded late in the evening before the tour start. Agreed pick up times were changed. The tour itself was OK, with employees on the boat and the driver being very friendly and very helpful.

          Amazing and beautiful trip
We were picked up from our hotel in Ras Al Khaimah. We made a relatively quick and scenic trip east across the UAE to Dibba and boarded our Dhow. We were fortunate and the ship was not crowded, so we had a very personalized tour. It was an amazing day with clear skies, calm seas, and not too hot. The snorkeling was fair as the water was a bit murky, but overall the scenery of the trip was breathtaking. Our guides and the ship's crew were very professional, attentive, informative...and all-around great people. I would recommend this trip to anyone.

Best day - Everyone loved it!
This was great! Picked us up at our hotel. (Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah) staff professional and friendly. Through border not a problem and onto boat. 2 stops for swimming/snorkelling. Good food for lunch and lots of it! Tea and coffee all day and fruit etc. Everything supplied and all safe and fun. Bring a little cash for the onboard incence and nic nacs. Great day. Will do again next year when we come back to RAK.

          Highly recommend this tour
The tour team were exceptional at communicating including updates to our hotel pick up time on the morning of the tour. Checkpoint crossing was quick and easy and once on the boat there was plenty of space to relax and take in the amazing scenery. The crew were very professional. We had two stops for swimming and snorkelling in pristine waters. The lunch was really delicious and plenty of food. Tea, coffee juice and water were available throughout the day..this was one of the best tours we have done and we highly recommend it..thank you to all the crew!

          Unbelievable
When we were staying in Dubai, we had an option to book this excursion. A day trip to Oman. What an amazing experience it was. The boat trip from Oman border to middle of the sea was so scenic. The boat staff who were Bangladeshis went out their way to accommodate us. They cooked home food for us guest. We did various things like snorkelling, speed boat, banana boat, quick get off at the beach, fishing. Sadly we didn’t get to see the dolphins as the tour company promised but that’s ok. Defo worth booking this if you’re bored of Dubai same routine.

What a Rugged Area--well worth the effort to go up and back
A very full day from pick-up to drop-off, but well worth the effort. Had a little longer time than expected to make the border crossing into Oman, but the scenery and experience was well worth it and will better prepare me to return for a longer stay. The crew on the Dhow was very friendly and very willing to help make the trip fun and enjoyable. The meal was good and plenty of drinks. Swimming was very enjoyable at the two stops we made. Will go up there again, but for a longer stay.

What a great tour! Our driver Mohammed picked us up at the exact time we were told he'd be there. While driving to Oman, he gave us lots of information on the emirates, the life style, the terrain, everything. He even stopped on the side of the road for me, so I could take a picture of a camel that happened to be dining on some trees right next to the highway. Mohammed was also very good about stopping for bathroom breaks. It is a fairly long drive, but a uniquely pretty one, watching the terrain change from sandy desert to rocky desert to rocky barren mountains.

I read a few reviews where the travelers said there was a long delay to get into Oman. I have to tell you, I've never gotten into a country any quicker or easier than I did in Oman. They (seriously) didn't even check my passport (I am female, traveling with my male companion). They looked at my companion's passport, but not mine. We were waved in to the country, and continued the trip to the dhows.

The dhows themselves were like 30-foot pirate ships, no railings or anything, just an open ship at the bow section, with large cushions to lay or sit on in the front. The back of the dhow was covered, and had rest rooms and benches on the side to sit on. All the separate drivers from all the different pick-up locations met on the dhow. It was obvious they were all good friends, and their joking and antics was fun to watch and made us laugh quite a few times. They each took care of everyone there as a group, it didn't matter if you were in their group they transported or not...once on the dhow, everyone was was family.

The trip on the water was eerily beautiful, I've never seen such stark barrenness surrounded by so much water. Our first stop was at what my companion and I dubbed The Goat Beach, which was a very small enclave, with a street sign (who knows why...there were no huts or streets or anything but about 15-20 goats, some of which were on top of the palm trees, eating the fronds. Very surreal, and a funny story to tell the folks back home). In order to enter the water, you are invited to simply jump off the dhow if you like, rather than going down a ladder. I think that in the US, they would be so terrified of lawsuits and such that they would insist on life jackets and railings and ladders and liability waivers and other nonsense that would have made this excursion that much less fun.

They had a small speed boat that would bring you to the "beach", which was rocky and delightfully goat-infested, or you could splash around the waters at the dhow, which they kept out in open waters, about 200-300 feet away from the shore. The waters were emerald green and while I didn't snorkel, a lot of the other travelers did. I enjoyed swimming around though.

Our next stop was at a beautiful underwater cave. Once we got there, we had to board the speed boat. The driver had to time the waves so when they were at their lowest, he could quickly drive the boat through the cave entrance. We all had to scoot ourselves at the bottom of the boat to keep from plonking our heads on the top of the cave entrance. Once inside, the cave was much larger, allowing the boat (and us passengers) a little more breathing room. It was sheer beauty in the cave, with the sunshine outside making the waters in the cave glow a neon blue. Leaving the cave also meant pin-point timing. As someone who can't even parallel park, I wonder how many boats were wrecked while learning how to navigate in and out like that! Kudos to the driver!

A traditional Arabic lunch was also served onboard, a nice touch, considering it was Ramadan. They offered lamb dishes, hummus, rice, a pasta dish for the less-adventurous, fried fish and an eggplant dip, among other things. All very good (and very filling). After lunch, they turned the dhow into a mini-bazaar, showcasing perfumes and other souvenirs.

After the returning to port, we sadly said goodbye to the fun group, boarded our van, where Mohammed quickly and expertly brought us back to the hotel, despite the high traffic. This was one of the most "fun" excursions we took in Dubai...very unfettered and laid back. Most tours are really interesting. This one was really interesting and...boatloads of fun! (pun intended)

If you do one tour in Dubai, this is it! I know there are several other companies offering similar tours. But this is by far the best! Our driver Mustaffa was awesome. Nothing was too much trouble. He was courteous, very friendly and very professional. The crew on the Dhow can't do enough, lots of drinks from the moment you set foot on board. The food was delicious and local to the area. Lots of opportunities for photographs and swimming. Overall 10/10 Don't forget to tip the crew and drivers, they deserve it with this tour!!!

We took this tour. Even though it was a long drive it was well worth it. The crew was very nice and made sure that everyone had a good time. They were helpful to people that were a little unsteady on their feet. The beach that they took us to us very private and everyone had a great time. The water in the sea of Oman was such a pretty shade of blue. They had snacks and drinks before we got to the beach and a nice spread for lunch.

I don’t recommend to anybody! Horrible. Everything’s dirty, the chairs are broken as dirty, in the little beach there are streets dogs all over you and your stuff, glass on the sand I cut my foot, the restroom from the boat is nasty and rusted I wanted to take pictures but I couldn’t enter to the restroom for a second time, bees all over. Total a Fail! IF YOU ARE VISITING DUBAI PLEASE DONT GO THERE. This is not really located in Dubai you have to cross the border to go there.

We were picked up from our hotel at 7.30. The drive to the Dhow took about 2 hours. Once outside Dubai we saw some fantastic sand dunes and some camels.

Going over the Oman border crossing was very simple and easy.

Once over the border the Dhow is located about 5 minutes away.

The Dhow sailed up the Oman coastline.

Tea, coffee, juices and water are continuously provided. There is some fruit to snack on if you get hungry.

We had two stops on the cruise. The first to a cove with a beach and where you can swim. There is a boat to take you to the beach or you can swim if you are a good swimmer.

After about an hour we set of for the second stop. We were served lunch, which was fantastic.

At the second stop, you can take a short boar ride to a sea cave. The colours inside the cave are awesome.

The snorkelling at the second stop is better than the first with lots to see.

In summary, a fantastic day, with great hosts - a once in a life time trip.

We had an amazing trip! This was a very fun tour that exceeded our expectations. Our driver and guide for the day was Abdullah. Pickup was exactly on time, at 7:15 AM. Abdullah was wonderful and very informative about the surrounding area we were driving through. He looked after us throughout the entire day and we felt we were in good hands! One of my friends forgot her sunglasses in his car after he dropped us off and he was nice enough to come back to the hotel and drop them off for her after a very long day! The drive was 2 hours but it went by quickly as we were fascinated by everything we drove past. Getting into Oman was extremely easy and took maybe 1 minute maximum. There were 3 small tour groups that met together for this tour and it was clear that the tour guides were friends and got along well. There was maybe 25 people on our boat, so there was plenty of space to spread out and feel comfortable. We really enjoyed the first stop, at a beautiful beach with lots of goats. The second stop was at another cove area where you could go to see a pretty cave and go snorkeling. The food was pretty enjoyable too and they were always very generous giving us plenty of water, soda, juices, fruit, etc. throughout the entire day. Before we went on the tour we were all a little concerned that we might get seasick but the ride was really quite smooth and it's nice to be able to get off the boat a few times in the coves and get on some dry land for a few minutes- it broke up the long day. Overall, we would definitely recommend going on this trip! We were gone from 7:15 AM- 6:15 PM, but it was a very exciting and fun day throughout. Thanks again to Abdullah and the rest of the tour guides/ boat crew for an amazing day!
