Pick up at your hotel will be at 6:30 am in the morning to continue to boat jetty where we will start at 07:00 am. Coffee and some local snacks are available on board. From 2 to 3 hours journey on a local style (simple) boat upstream will bring us to meet the local fishermen where we will observe the cooperative fishing between Irrawaddy Dolphins and fishermen.
Depending on the water level and the location of the dolphins, we can watch them either from the bank or by small motorboat. After the observation, we will continue to a village of the fishermen to have lunch and explore the village. We will be meeting the villagers, joining with them on their daily works or some handicraft they make at home, and taking a ride on an oxen cart for experience.
Sailing back to Mandalay will be quicker and we will have relaxing ride back to the town, enjoying the beautiful evening on the mighty Ayeyarwaddy river.
