About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- H8504KCpaul0 contributionsGreat guided hikesMy son and I had 2 guided walks with Nacho, in the Piatra Craiului and Bucegi Mountains. Nacho was lovely and friendly; a real character. He was very considerate and hospitable. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks. Nacho was a great guide, and fun company, with lots of information about the area and its history. Would thoroughly recommendWritten 6 October 2024
- NorthStar488256570450 contributionsExperts in sustainable tourism, lovely peopleI had the most amazing day with Nacho and Ioana. We spent the afternoon together, they showed me around in their lovely village, we went on a short hike, and we visited their adorable family-owned guest house as well. We discussed sustainable travelling, hiking, and the role of nature in tourism a lot. They are the kindest people and I hope to see them soon again!Written 17 August 2023
- Meital D0 contributionsMust have!We had a day trip with Ignacio and Ioana - Me, my 8 yrs old son and my 70yrs old parents. Ignacio was so helpful and creative in setting us just the right day and we all - 8 to 70 - had so much fun! Ignacio and Ioana are super hosts - Great English speakers, have lots of knowledge, and also great cook (Ioana :)). They showed us around Moiciu de Sus and showed us how the locals really live and some local special places. The greatest thing was to see their own land and receive explanations on their life there. The most important thing for us was that they made sure we are all comfortable and tailored this day just for us. I really recommend - It is not like anything else we did and we did some local trips in the area. You won't regret it.Written 18 September 2022
- abransfield0 contributionsHike the CarpathiansWhat an awesome hike!! Absolutely stunning location, even in the mist and drizzle. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure your experience is a fantastic one. Nacho, the guide, is so welcoming and funny; he was an absolute pleasure to hike with. He's very knowledgable about Romania and obviously cares deeply about the country. I would recommend this hike to anyone who loves to be outdoors and wants to get a little taste of the beauty of the Carpathian Mountains.Written 6 April 2022
- 526ruxandrar0 contributionsFantastic hosts and beautiful landscape! You couldn't have better hosts than Nacho and Ioana! We stayed in Moieciu de Sus last week for a few days with our two daughters and other friends. We had the best of times! Nacho and Ioana took us on the Transylvania Amphitheatre from where you can see both the Bucegi and Piatra Craiului mountains. The views were breathtaking and the children had so much fun playing on the swings! Ioana and Nacho are super friendly, entertaining accommodating, knowledgeable about the area and gave us the best tips for our stay. We would always go back to visit in a tick!Written 5 November 2021
- andreeamus0 contributionsSuperb!Last weekend, with some friends, we did a guided tour in Bucegi (Moieciu de sus - Padina - Babele, vf. OMU - Moieciu de sus) with Nacho and it was an awesome experience! Nacho is a super guide - an enthusiastic and joyful person, full of good joke and a very nice guy! Also the circuit was superb, the weather very good, overall I want to repeat the experience soon! I recommend Nacho highly and without reservation! Visit Bucegi as well, nice nature memories will remain with you forever!Written 26 August 2021
- mariusd3680 contributionsExcelenteAmazing views from the hills, panoramic sceneries and Nacho is really a nice guy and a very helpful guideWritten 29 July 2021
- georgianac2670 contributionsA wonderful dayThank you Nacho for this unexpected day! The beauty of the mountains and the nice jokes of our guide transformed our hike in a wonderful memory.Written 30 August 2020
- elefantulfelix0 contributionsExcelent summer hikeWe had a lovely late-summer day hike in Bucegi. Despite his non-native-but-latin romanian tongue, Nacho can be both funny and helpfull along the way, as those 15+ kilometers seem a nice walk. But a walk to remember, as the Bucegi landscapes are breathtaking along the way!Written 28 August 2020
- Teresa S0 contributionsMountain walk with Nacho Anson PomarA truly memorable half-day circular hike in the Carpathians staring in Moieciu de Sus. The views were spectacular and Nacho had plenty of anecdotes about local farming traditions. Heaven for photographers and nature-lovers. There were some quite steep climbs but Nacho went at the pace of the weakest in the group and helped on difficult sections. Excellent English too.Written 24 September 2019
- Elena04680 contributionsGreat tripOur group of 20 friends made a track for 10 km with Nacho in the mountains, after which we were invited to the beautiful house of Nacho and his wife and they fed us a great dinner. It was really wonderful! Thanks a lot.Written 24 June 2019
- john2307690 contributionsAmazing trek with NachoWe had a fantastic 3 days hiking in the Karpathian mountains with Nacho. The base of the hikes is probably the most beautiful village Ive ever seen - Moeciu ded sus. We had an amazing trek to the mountains with Nacho. We are hiking in many places, and Nacho is definitely the best guide we have met. Amazing knowledge, highly sensitive to our needs, very helpful to all our needs, even after we left, and very friendly. We were also hosted at Nacho and Ioana house for an amazing lunch. Ioana and Nacho - the best choose in our trip to Romania.Written 20 August 2018
- moshe-680 contributionsexcellent and very pleasant guidancethis is an excellent combination of all the good things a tourist wants to enjoy in romania. Nacho and Ioana offer not only personal tour guides with good friendly atmosphere, but also a very comfortable accommodation option in a very authentic beautiful village, very tasty romanian home cuisine, special cultural tours, and nature tours of various levels that suitable for all types of travelers. There is no doubt that it is unnecessary to seek other people to experience romania the best way.Written 14 September 2017
- Rae630 contributionsA wonderful trip discovering RumaniaA group of friends and I spent 7 days in June with Nacho discovering Rumania. I strongly recommend doing the trip we did, which combined walking and culture. The scenery is spectacular around Nacho and Joana's village, and not too far from some interesting and beautiful medieval towns. It really would be a pity to go to Rumania and not walk in the mountains. Our guide, Nacho, was with us just about all the time, always ready to answer questions and tell us about the history and culture of Rumania. Although he is Spanish, his and his wife's English is excellent! Also, I must add that, unexpectedly, the food was fantastic...everything homemade or bought locally! Even the butter and jam!! Rumania is definitely worth a visit, and I think that doing so with Nacho and Joana makes it even more memorable. By the end of the trip we felt we were with friends.Written 30 June 2017
- Ana C0 contributionsAwesome guide tour in TransilvaniaMy friend and me went to visit the Bran Castle by ourselves and while we were there we heard some one (Ignacio) making a guide tour to other people. So, we ask him if we could join the group. He was awesome, he knew lot of story about Romania. And he was replying all our questions very kindly. He recommended us lot of places to visit. At the end of the tour we can consider Ignacio our Spanish-Romanian friend. I totally recommend him as a guide :)Written 5 December 2016

A totally recommendable experience. We visited Viscri and Sighisoara and both the places we saw and our guide Nacho, who explained in a pleasant way the history and curiosities of the place, and any questions you may have about the country, were spectacular. Their recommendations to go and taste typical Romani food are also very good. We felt very comfortable throughout the trip. Thanks for the experience Nacho

Excellent a la carte tour visiting charming villages, fortified churches, palaces and dream castles that I did not think there would be in this country. Garnished with good local food and a great explanation of history of this area of Europe. All with a guide in Spanish with full command of the Romanian language, very nice and professional. Recommended of all for those who want to make a circuit in the area.

Two surprising, impressive places, we no longer knew where to look so as not to miss anything. Our guide Nacho is amazing and a great Romania enthusiast. He enjoys his work and certainly knows how to convey it.

We were near Viscri, during the tour of Transylvania, passing through Sighisoara towards Brasov. 40 km separate Sighisoara from Viscri, but traveling along the road seems to go back in time, horse-drawn carts, ox-drawn ploughs, small villages with farmers carrying out their activities on the cobbled roadside, herds suddenly pouring onto the road, birds of prey circling in the blue sky ready to seize the right moment to feed themselves with some small animal, calm storks nesting on the elementary school of the small village During the journey, dense woods interspersed with cultivated fields and the Carpathian Mountains in the distance. Once in Viscri, the inhabitants used the entrances to their homes as improvised shops selling dairy products, honey, bread made in a wood-fired oven and knitwear. and handmade wool hats. When you get to the hill where the church is, you are left speechless by what you see. Entering the church and seeing the view from above after climbing all the narrow stairs costs 15 lei. for adults, 8 lei for over 65s and students. Not to be missed
