About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Meree A0 contributionsAmazing place to visit, very busy, a bit overpriced.Plitvice Lakes was an amazing place to visit, very busy however. I felt what we paid for our tickets was too much. It appeared there were cheaper tickets available when we arrived however the tickets are required to be pre-purchased.Written 5 November 2024
- vanessalI8287NJ0 contributionsAutumninal Walks around the lakes.Easy to book but a bit confusing about having to exchange my booking for a ticket . This was actually easier than I thought. You just show the booking at the ticket office at the park. I had the impression I had to exchange it at a tour office before . Lovely quieter time of year to visit in October.Written 30 October 2024
- haeberlin20180 contributionsDay trip to Kotor in MontenegroWe had one more day in Debrovnik and we decided to book a day trip to Kotor in Montenegro. Cost US$ 123.00 for two. As with our trip to Mostar, they picked up on time at our sister hotel (Valamar President), a short walk from our hotel. Again, in the city we are met and we again had to submit out passports. Make sure you take your passport, as Montenegro is not in the EU. After about 45 minute drive, we arrived at the border. It took a while for the whole process and once we were able to proceed we stopped at a rest stop for a few minutes to get a coffee and/or go to restrooms. We then proceeds and drove along the Bay of Kotor. Very picturesque. But a long and curvy road. We then made a stop at the village of Perast. Some people took to opportunity to take a boat ride and visit the Church of our Lady (extra cost). We decided to stroll along the village and have a coffee. A very nice village. Worth the stop. We then continued our drive to Kotor where we stayed for about 2 hours. The place was very busy. (There were 3 or 4 cruise ship anchored in the harbor). You had the opportunity to climb the famous wall. Similar to the wall in Dubrovnik. But this wall actually goes up very steep up the hill. We decided, we had have seen and walked the wall in Dubrovnik. And the time was very tight. We decided to stroll inside the old old and have a lunch at one of the many restaurants. We had black risotto and a pasta dish which came to Euro 40.00 or US$ 44.00 incl. drinks for the two of us. Then it was time to meet at the bus and it took as while to get out of the city as there is so much traffic and lots of buses. But on the return we took a shorter route and we passed the city of Tivat and took the ferry at Lepetane to get back to oridinal road at Kamenri. As we reached the border again, there were several buses in front of us which resulted in a long wait (about one hour) to cross the border. But this time we did not have to get of the bus. Just waiting in the bus. We made it back to Dubrovnik around 6-6.30pm and they dropped us of again at the hotel. If you have time, it is a worth wile trip. The ride is very picturesque (almost like Lake Como) and the old city of Kotor is historic and a must see.Written 24 October 2024
- Ana K0 contributionsA wonderful nature is out there! We were thrilled with landscape and all amazing views. We enjoyed a day full of natural environA trip was organized by a train and boat drive and we really loved all that natural sights through different transport vehicles. We didn't regret any cent spent on that ticket! We deeply felt connected with wild nature without any urban rush! Our whole day was organized via different transports or walking and followed by pleasant services from local restaurants and service workers.Written 18 October 2024
- banana8780 contributionsDay tripWonderful day to Montenegro with Super Tours, our guide Nikolas was fantastic and very kind. Perast was stunning and Kotor was lovely too. The only negative was the crossing back into Croatia which took over 2 hours.Written 3 October 2024

- ComptonPlace0 contributionsBewareWe spent 90 euros on a three day pass for two of us. No one told us that you can only use it once for each activity. We walked half the city walls which was wonderful and came down for lunch. We returned after lunch to find we could not re-enter on the passes! The passes also do not cover all of the museums which charge an additional fee to enter so be careful.Written 26 September 2024
- Richard L0 contributionsA good taste of Istria. The stops on the tour were well chosen and the guide was knowledgeable and friendly. It was a full day and demanding physically but worth the effort.Written 16 September 2024
- Harini070 contributionsDisappointed! We paid $160 for an activity that would have cost much less if just bought a day pass on that day. I had thought it was a guided tour or something that offered more than a day pass. Please don’t waste your money on this. Just get a day pass when you get to the old town.Written 13 September 2024
- E7637XVsimons0 contributionsRip offAbsolute rip off. Do not go if you expect value for money. Miniscule amounts of wine at the first couple of stops. Almost angry enough to put in a formal complaint.Written 24 August 2024
- roxzannethewanderer0 contributionsYou can skip the tour with a rental carThis place is gorgeous, but I wish I would have read up more on it before going. So first off- we had a rental car while in Croatia, so you can buy your own tickets and do not need to go through a tour service. I believe the tour services that only included a ride were $100+ and you still had to buy entry tickets. I believe I paid about $100 total with exchange rate for two entry tickets, give or take a little $. The parking isn’t free, but it’s not overly expensive. I still saved money driving myself and were fast walkers- so with the heat, waiting around for a group would have been less than ideal. There are multiple choices on hikes/walks you can do. We did the shorter 2-3 hour walk where you hit the hot spots. Honestly- the place is so gorgeous that I wish we would have planned two days in the area…. The photos do this place no justice. Wear sunblock and take water!Written 15 August 2024
- Curious427920165300 contributionsBeautiful! It was a wonderful experience. Beautiful, a lot of walking involved, we had 15k steps afterward. Gorgeous day, hot, but much better in the sun. Entrance 1 is where we entered at 830am, we’re glad we didn’t go later in the day. Took route C was there about 5 hrs., road the boat.Written 15 August 2024
- Lukies210 contributionsGreat experienceWe had a really nice day with the tour. Our tour guide Barbara and Daniel looked after us very well. Daniel was. A great driver being local he was able to avoid the summer traffic jams and our pick ups were on time at each point 👍 Barbara was a great guide giving information along the way not too much on the bus but just enough , then at the three stops we learnt enough information to get a quick gasp of the history of each town. Guides are invaluable…we come a long way so it’s nice to learn a little history and about the region . Thankyou for a great day out. The meal /lunch at the small family restaurant was delicious and we were so happy to enjoy local cuisine…Thankyou to the Familja Ferlin …delicious! Hvala to all for a memorable day.Written 9 August 2024
- colint1640 contributionsInformative, fun, comfortable with nice lunch.Wonderful day trip. Tin the guide was pleasant, knowledgeable and friendly. He gauged the level of informative commentary and stories with quiet time when traveling on the bus well. The duration of the day was very good and well planned to showcase key historical events and grasp a sense of modern Istria. The driver on the day was exceptional, ensuring a safe, comfortable and pleasurable trip. 👍Written 9 August 2024
- kizzy2390 contributionsFabulous! *****Initially the thought of the long coach ride was daunting; however it wasn't an issue at all (with a couple of rest breaks either side). The time went by so quick and the coach was air conditioned. The guide was very informative and constantly gave an insight into the history of Croatia/Slovenia - with other titbits of information. Very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Lake Bled exceeded my expectations - breath taking views like something out of a fairy tale! Another experience ticked off my bucket list. We enjoyed views from the Castle; free time to walk around the lake and finishing off with a traditional boat (pletnas) across to Bled Island and St. Mary's Church. This is definitely not a trip to be missed!Written 2 August 2024

We were happy to see Pula amphitheatre as it is quite iconic place if you are interested in Roman history. The building itself is spectacular. It is great to see it from outside and for most of the people it is enough. We bought the tickets which were quite expensive, but I think it includes an electronic guide ( I wasn't offered it but people were using them). There is an entry for wheelchair users and prams. I recommend buying an evening experience of Gladiators Fights for younger audience as there was not a big difference between normal entry and a show.

We came to Pula to see both Florence and then RW a week or so later and spent the rest of our time other areas of Istria, Venice and Split.
Pula is a little lacking in good places to stay or eat but you don’t have to travel far for great food and wine.
The Roman Arena is however a fantastic place to see live music, great sound and beautiful as the sun sets.
Well worth travelling here just to see a good band play.

It's a must see attraction in Pula when visiting. We took a late visite in the afternoon in mid July because of the heat and not many people visits in the afternoon. We recommend to go there in the afternoon. And there is also no shades inside the Amfi.
Too bad there is lack of info tablet about the Amfi anywhere inside the arena. The children wanted to know about the gladiators and the inside life of the chambers, areas and so on. So we had to google the info.
Below the Amfi, really cool to see how they made olive oil and transport of olive oil and wine throughout Europe.

The Croatians in Pula are not interested in tourists. Except for one amazing woman at the toilets in the Arena, Melina. Upon arrival, it took almost 40minutes to sort out parking in a public space. The parking attendant refused to help (or even look us in the eye). The machine didn't take cards or notes. Only 5ku coins. None of the shop owners were interested in changing notes for us, even when we offered to purchase something. So all we could do was pay for 1hr, which was enough time to see the impressive Arena. However none of the employees there looked happy, welcomed the tourists, or showed any interest in our simple questions. Imagine our surprise then when we met Velina at the toilets. She was smiley, engaging, happy to see us, and most of all, welcoming. Really professional, and had great english. Thank you so much for redeeming Pula!

A structure that still stands solid as rock after 2000 years. Amazing and impressive. Although you can see it well from the outside and even look in, it is still nicer to actually go inside to get the feel of the place. And also to visit the underground section. The ticket costs 10 euros, I am OK with spending that helping to preserve such a beautiful relic.

The inside of the arena is vast, it looks bigger from the inside than the outside. Great to see something the Romans created and a little of how they lived.
The only negative was we booked through Trip Advisor and our tickets were not there a few days later when we were due to visit. The staff at the arena were great and let us in anyway after seeing the Trip Advisor email and receipt.

Definitely place to visit in Pula. unfortunately, information on Web is outdated or plane wrong, and staff in ticket office arrogant and rude when asked for more information about events or tours published online. WTF..... Don't buy a ticket, have a stroll around the arena and spend your hard earned cash on beer in a Caffè bar Scala. There is a great view inside arena, right from the table. Did I mention cold beer? ....doesn't get any better than this.

An amazingly large example of a Roman amphitheatre with plenty of places to stand to take photos. You can also sit on the steps and imagine! Don't miss the museum underground near the exit. It is worth paying 20 kunas (less than £3) to have a photo opportunity with the hunky roman soldier and you can dress up in his helmet and pretend to kill him if that's more to your taste!!

One of the best things to see in Pula, nearly all intact but somewhat skeletal compared to some other amphitheater s , small exhibition below is worth seeing for the tunnels. You can actually walk round the outside and see virtually everything if you wanted to.
