Highly recommended day trip from Skopje.
Our driver and guide were very friendly and knowledgeable. This made the visits even more valuable and memorable. There is a very long and complex history to the area and they helped bring all of that together.

          Highly recommend......
We planned a little visit to this part of the Balkans for a little look-see (take a look and see if we want to come back). We spent 5 nights in Skopje and had been planning to book a coach/bus ticket to get us to Tirana for the remaining 4 nights. Then reality bit and we considered the transaction costs in time/energy and general wellbeing in organising a taxi with our tonne of luggage from our AirBnB to the coach station, minding the luggage/booking the ticket, getting us and the luggage on the coach (and hoping all the luggage stays on the coach for the whole trip) and face it, 5 hours of fairly dreary countryside, with all the same in reverse at the other end - unload, change money, organise taxi to get us and the luggage-tonne to our apartment in central Tirana. Well we didn’t think too much longer. I googled private transfers from Skopje to Tirana and after wading through all the ‘big’ expensive and no doubt well commissioned sites (viator…get your guide etc), I found an honest-to-goodness company based in Macedonia. Yay! Nice website, excellent reviews on Tripadvisor, in English and they take credit cards. They had a reasonably priced direct transfer in a Mercedes E Class, door to door. Obviously a lot more expensive than a coach - BUT - you get what you pay for. So we thought about that for a day or so - then we looked a bit further on the website and found they also do the trip via super scenic Lake Ohrid, with a private walking tour and the opportunity to get lunch. At this point the additional €100 seemed a reasonable price to make some beautiful memories in this part of the world. We communicated via WhatsApp - all good, even arranged a short stop at Matka Canyon first thing and on the way which was very much appreciated. We completed the booking, paid via card online and had confirmation of our driver and car registration plate the following evening. We were picked up by Miki (#2…?) at 8 am on the dot, spotlessly clean Mercedes in excellent condition, loaded the luggage, took off to Matka Canyon (beautiful - we understand why it’s a highlight of visits to Skopje), timed our short stroll perfectly and left just as a coach load of poeple arrived. We continued on to Ohrid - just stunning! We had a perfect day weather wise and a wonderful (I repeat, Wonderful!) guide who met us at the lake. Her name was Ivana and we highly recommend her services - so friendly, so helpful and a complete guru on Lake Ohrid and it’s history. We had an amazing time (frescos, paper shop, theatre, stunning views) and took far, far too many photos (and Ivana is a legend with a camera - lots of lovely photos of us too). We finished our walk around at 2 pm, spent an hour having superb pizza at Leonardo Pizza, including one to take with us) and back into the car at 3 pm - arrived in Tirana at 6 pm due to good traffic. Honestly - if we hadn't taken this trip, via this method, then Skopje would have been almost a write off. If we happen to find ourselves in this part of the world again we would definitely use this company (and Miki and Ivana) to visit other areas of interest . Great communication, easy payment by credit card, a slick operation (and thank you Miki - stopping at clean service/gas stations for requisite toilet stops was much appreciated!)

Beautiful day in a picturesque town
We visited Ohrid on New Year’s Eve so the town was busy and full of atmosphere. The sun was shining all day and we got amazing photos of the lake and town. Our driver Miki stopped off halfway through the drive to give us Mekitsa with some amazing cheese. Our guide in Ohrid was Filip, who knew the local area extremely well and took some great photos for us. Would highlight recommend this trip!

Amazing tour of Krushevo and Bitola
I had an amazing time with Suzanna (my tour guide)... We visited Krushevo and Bitola and received an amazing insight into the history, and significance of these places to Macedonian History. The tour guide was very well-versed in Macedonian History. The driver also ensured that I had a safe journey to and from Bitola.

          Lovely experience with great guides
We had a really great experience with our driver Miki and our local guide in Kosovo Suat. Miki was warm and punctual, bought us water and sweets and cared for us very well. Suat was a veritable mine of information and we learned so much about Kosovo. We had plenty of time to experience Gracanica Monastery, Pristina and the gorgeous city of Prizren. We really enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it.

          Outstanding Service
The best travel company during our entire Balkan trip! We took a private tour with the company for multiple days, got picked up by them from Sofia, Bulgaria, did a city tour of Skopje, a day tour to Kosovo and then a 2 day trip to Ohrid. The company arranged everything very well. We especially like the driver and tour guide to Ohrid, Daniela (driver) and Ivana (guide). Ivana was so knowledgeable and kind. Both Daniela and Ivana went over their way to make sure we have an excellent experience. I can't recommend this company more. Not only we saw the beautiful Macedonia, we also learned so much. Their price is also very reasonable. I can't recommend enough!

An amazing day to Bitola and Kruševo
Where to start Susana was very accommodating and knowledgeable throughout the whole experience. I enjoyed every moment of this trip to Bitola and Kruševo. I got to see all the places that I wanted to see. With plenty of time at each place. Despite the weather we made it work. It was totally worth it !! Susana is an incredible guide and kind. Driver Rubin had a cool playlist of music and was very attentive with us in the car.

          A wonderful day!
We had an amazing day with our guide Redzo and our driver Miki! They were both so open and friendly and enthusiastic. We felt like we were spending the day with friends! Miki told us many interesting things about the region on our drive to Kosovo. Redzo showed us all around Prizren, Pristina and Lesnovo. He is a fountain of knowledge and answered all of our questions with enthusiasm. Both Miki and Redzo clearly love what they do and that makes the experience all the more special and memorable. I highly recommend this tour.

Great day trip - fully recommend
This tour is fairly high priced especially for the area but it was definitely worth the money. Our driver Miki picked us up from the Hilton in Skopje in a modern and comfortable car. The drive to Kosovo was smooth and Miki was friendly and entertaining. When we arrived in Prizren we met our guide (so sorry I’m not sure of the spelling) and he was brilliant, so knowledgable and also just genuinely interesting and enjoyable to talk to. I have a few Kosovan friends in London and he gave me lots of info about Kosovars abroad returning in the summers which I found interesting as well as telling me about famous British Kosovars Dua Lipa and Rita Ora. Prizren is gorgeous really happy we went there. Pristina is the kind of city I would recommend to see with a guide because there aren’t too many breathtaking attractions but there’s so many points of interest a good guide can bring to life. Our guide also supported us in finding the only vegetarian restaurant in Kosovo which I loved. A very bespoke experience that I would whole heartedly recommend. The cost was about £145 per person so it’s expensive but it was worth it for me.

A great way to spend the day!
A really good excursion that I can highly recommend for anyone wanting to visit Kosovo. The trip itself was well put together with ample time to experience the interesting and beautiful Gracanica Monastery , the Capital Pristina and the historic city of Prizren. I would also like to specially thank Zlatko, our driver and guide who was a mine of information and also a good and careful driver who speaks excellent English.

An absolutely perfect tour from start to finish! I was met with Daniela* at my accommodation, and we set off for Ohrid in a very comfortable car. Daniela gave me a quick history lesson of Macedonia and of Ohrid before we got there. In Ohrid, we were met by the guide, Ivana*, who then took me around all of the incredibly interesting sights in Ohrid, as well as the breathtaking views around the small town. I learnt about the rich history (churches, theaters) from Ivana, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the history behind all of the churches we went to, the fortress, the monastery, and of Mavrovo (and everything close by)! I even asked Ivana how she knew so much, and it's very clear that she just loves history and loves to share it even more with visitors.

Highly recommended tour that goes throughout the entire day (it does take awhile to drive to Ohrid and to Mavrovo)! It was nice to not have to think about what to do, especially when traveling alone and have no one to bounce ideas off with. Going on a guided tour also makes it less lonely! Also, my personal favorite was the papermaking workshops that Ivana showed me near the start of the tour - one of seven places in the world that makes paper by hand (not a typo!) with the old traditional way.

        *Apologies for mis-spelling names!

I absolutely couldn’t get enough of the views between Mavrovo and Galicnik! If you love the outdoors, fall is a wonderful time to explore this area. After seeing the breathtaking colors, I only wish I’d stayed in the area longer to hike and really soak it in. The highlights were perfect for the time I had allotted for this particular day though. My guide Suzana was very knowledgeable about the area and provided a lot of interesting history. The one thing I was surprised to see is that the underwater church is no longer underwater. You can actually walk into it now which wasn’t possible a couple years ago. A fascinating area throughout, your camera will be very happy!

It was absolutely perfect. Suzanna is an amazing guide. So much culture, so interesting, I did 3 tours (Kosovo, Skopje and Mavrovo-Ohrid) and nothing bad to say about this except it went so fast. I would definitively recommend these tours and next time I will come to this incredible country that is North Macedonia I will try the others!!!
Thank you again for everything, you made my trip and offer me a lot of incredible memories.

Miki was extremely responsive during my tour planning, at the end I decided to go for a 3 day private tour - Mavrovo, Ohrid, St Naum and Bitola. That was the best decision I made for my Macedonia visit. My tour guide, Ivana and my driver, Robert were super nice. It’s a bit challenging to travel during COVID time, but we all managed with masks and sanitizers. They took me so many places and I have learned so much during these 3 days. I can’t imagine anything better than this! Macedonia is so beautiful! Can’t believe it’s been under the radar for so long! This is a must do tour in Macedonia with Miki’s company!

Booked this tour after after being driven by this company from the airport to the hotel which, by itself was handled calmly and professionally.

The weather was great and we set off at 8:00am as agreed. First to Mavrovo, then to Ohrid. The guide, Alex, was fun and knowledgeable. The driver, Daniela was courteous and excellent.

We packed in a full day of sightseeing, narrated with wonderful historical, geographical and economic snippets of information. We returned to Skopje at 8:00pm.

I took many photographs which I plan to share later.

If you are looking for a great day out whilst visiting Skopje, these are the guys!

If you have only a few days, this tour is a must. Macro National Park, the St John the Baptist Monastery and Lake Ohrid are beautiful and should be seen by any visitor to Macedonia. Stunning beauty and exceptional natural vistas. The tour guide Suzann and the driver Daniela were super attentive and extremely knowledgeable. They were the icing on the cake. The tour took eight hours but it wasn’t too much at all since our hosts were so friendly. This was a personal tour in a comfortable car. The walking portion was extremely informative. Give this a try as it is well with the money.

Special Thank you! to our excellent driver Daniela and to our very skilled guide Suzana.
