Very informative tour guide. Highly recommend. Answered all our questions even those off topic. We came back full of knowledge about romanias history. We sat in the front seat of the bus with the driver and by doing so I think we got a lot more out of the tour as he was pointing out places as we past them.

Due to the current covid situation, I had a private tour that day, which was awesome. Mathias was a great guide, has a lot of general Romanian knowledge along with historical. This made for great conversation on the way to and from the castles. I highly recommend the tour and would gladly do it again with friends and family in the future.

This tour is highly recommended. George is very friendly and helpful and has a lot of knowledge. Both castles and Brasov are very worthwhile and we had plenty of time to explore all the places. We also made an extra stop at a beautiful viewpoint. Thank you George for this amazing experience!

This tour is really a great way to spend your free time while in Romania. Peles Castle is simply amazing, and it is very worth to visit it. In my opinion, Peles is incomparably better than Bran Castle, both from the inside and the outside. That is why I would recommend spending more time there, or maybe even skipping Bran Castle (it is just commercialized)! Bran Castle is beautiful outside, however, I don't think there is anything to see inside. Brasov is a very cute, small town, where I wish we had a bit more time.
And finally, Alex - he is the best tour guide I have met! His knowledge about not only this tour but Romania and history in general is truly admirable! Alex, thank you for the most amazing tour!!! :)

We sat in the front seat, next to the driver, in a fully occupied tourist van. We saw it all. At one point, our driver reached 148 km (or 91 mph) in an 80 km speed limit zone. He routinely traveled at 120 - 135 km in 70 to 80 km speed limit zones. We traveled on four lane roads at best, commonly without dividers. We past at break neck speed, with minimal distance between cars. Only the driver's play list could sooth our fractured nerves. We prayed to get back safe. The traffic, both ways, was the worst we have ever experienced in all our travels. We were in the van roughy 8 hours during our 12 hour trip. From our perspective, it certainly wasn't worth the cost or risk. If you seek a leisure excursion, this one is not for you.

Hello Ernie, I can say that regarding the speed it is absolutely not true that our tour guide was speeding. All our minivans are gps monitored to avoid to speed and also for the safety. I checked all the history of the day and i can assure that he wasn't going with that speed. Yes he drove with 85 km/h (52 miles/h) where the speed limit was 70 km/h (43 miles/h) and i can take fully this responsability because it is not meaning he was speeding but just maximizing your time to the museums and less in the car. In the same time probably he could take a speed ticket for this but not for his fault but because you arrived with 20 minutes late twice during the day and all the other tourists, that by the way nobody complained about it, had to suffer having less time for themselves. In any case, to don't stay so much in the van, now we have two options: See the Castles in Transilvania (Peles and Bran Castle ( Dracula's Castle) without Brasov city or have a 2 days tour in Transylvania. Thank you anyway for joining our tour even if the review it is not reflecting the reality. Kind regards, Trip2Ro

The views on the tour were great, but please see them with someone else. Our tour guide was horrible on this trip.

The day started off with him showering us with his opinions about how he should be able to smoke in any place he wishes, because he is a human, that is his right, and he knows the law.

Brushing that off, the trip continues with the tour guide repeatedly acting frustrated, rude, or condescending whenever others are speaking or asking questions.

One of the people on the tour made a joke, and he went off on her for a good few minutes about how she couldn’t do what she was joking about. This is even after she said “it was just a joke” multiple times. The joke was about taking a lot of pictures.

Eventually, after getting enough lectures, the entire van just sat in silence, with only the guides occasional rants filling the conversation.

We stopped at a gas station after sitting in the van for four hours and a few people went in to get a snack as well. The tour guide makes a comment along the lines of “I didn’t know I was organizing dinner too. I hope since they want to spend their money they will give me some money too”.

The tour guide ends the trip by encouraging us to give him gratuities, because he “made all of this possible”

All in all, the sites were cool, I met some cool people, but I would avoid this agency.

Hello, The discussion about smoking was started from other traveler and he gave also his opinion since he was asked for it by the other person. It is normal and polite to answer to the questions of the travelers . The tour guide didn’t showered anybody…. The joke was about taking pictures and the tour guide explained about the spots where to take photos, and also about the photo fee at the Peles Castle that everybody needed to know about it in case you wanted to take photos inside. ALL our cars are non-smoking cars and I think that this says much about it. Giving explanations and talking about history doesn’t mean that you are giving lectures but means that we do our job in presenting actual and past facts of economy, industry, politics, ecc. We recommend to you in the future to have a private tour where nobody speaks since having a tour guide that explains history and other facts probably it is not your tour type. When the tour guide saw that most of the tourists were sleeping in the van (it is normal to be silence since people are sleeping…..) he stopped to explain the history. Unfortunately during the day it was a lot of traffic and you arrived a little bit later in Bucharest. At the gas station during the stop 2 persons were sitting at the table while all the others were in the van and he asked you if they are having dinner in order to don’t make the others to wait in the van but to enjoy also their free time better since they needed to wait… Our tour guides NEVER asked for gratuities and we won’t make it in the future. Probably you got confused by the fact that he was always being polite and opening to you the door of the car and you though that he was waiting for a tip. It is not the case, we always open the door to the travelers after we checked that there are no cars passing and this is for your safety. It is interesting that you were the only one complaining about the tour even if we received positive reviews from the other travelers that were in the same tour. We don’t consider that this review is reflecting the reality and I would recommend to don’t use any more in the future the f* word so many times while you are in a shared tour with other people as it happened during the tour. Kind regards, Trip2Ro

A long day but worth the visit .
Our driver guide , Alex , was informative and friendly.
Please remember to give these guides a tip if they give you a good day .
A Dutch guy on our trip exerted full value from the guide and left without tipping. Tight git , shame on you .
