About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- hannahcG5281MU0 contributionsNo show - refund requested.Bus did not arrive at the pick up spot. There were 10 others also waiting. No communication. Unable to speak with anyone as number just connected to an AI. Particularly bad when you’re waiting at 06:30am.Written 19 March 2025
- Emma0 contributionsWould recommend!A great trip to see more of Romania! I was hesitant from reading a few reviews, but the trip was excellent. Our guide Julian and driver Jonny were great. Meet outside the hotel by the taxi rank. You need to bring cash to pay the driver to skip the queues on arrival. It states on the booking information so I don’t know how people miss this. Peles and Bran castle are lovely to look around. The stop of midway at Braşov was lovely to get lunch, we enjoyed some local cuisine and beer. The walk around Peles and up to Bran can be slippy with the ice and snow, so sensible footwear is advised. Would recommend!Written 19 March 2025
- synanarchosk0 contributionsAmazingThe places we went to were beautiful and the guide gave us a full story recap about everything we saw there, teaching us about some of the Romanian history. A great experience for very few money.Written 18 March 2025
- lisayM9357BT0 contributionsGreat sites & worth the travelThis excursion was worth the long day. Lots of free time & great cultural sites. Our guide was Bogdan & he was chatty & knowledgeable. He knew so much about the sites and seemed to engage with us far more than other guides.Written 16 March 2025
- cathytM8466ES0 contributionsWonderful tour and even better tour guide!!Dan our tour guide was absolutely fantastic! He made a great trip even better with his knowledge, humour and giving a penalty for late returning guests! We would highly recommend this trip, especially if Dan is your guide. From the trouble making ladies, you know who we are!!Written 15 March 2025
- A6413IEashleyg0 contributionsRefused entry to tourI was refused access to this trip at the coach pick up. I have a physical disability but am fit & know what I am capable of doing. We booked on the same castles tour with a different company the next day & I had no problem with them or completing tour of both castles. If you know what you are capable of yourself that should be enough. Funnily enough we saw the man who refused us the day before at the second castle, it was not his fault but company policy issues.Written 13 March 2025
- kearenc20240 contributionsTeam Alex 💯Peles Castle was absolutely beautiful however if you visit in the snowy period wrap up warm we had like a 50 minute wait to get în and it was cold! Our guide was brilliant and was almost militant in making sure we didn't get any line hoppers! Team Alex all the way! Top man😎💪 he was very informative of the traditions and cultural history of beautiful Romania. Thank you for a fantastic day out!Written 12 March 2025
- WhitbyJ0 contributionsBrilliant day tripThe three visits to Peles Castle, Brasov and Bran Castle were great. Our guide was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, friendly and ensured everything went like clockwork. Spent a long time on the coach but it was worth it.Written 10 March 2025
- 888travel0 contributionsOne Excellence Tour - Full Review! This was a really good day out but it’s important to know ALL the costs and the long duration. We had Emanuel as our guide and Jonny as the driver. Both were really good. The meeting point was next to Grand Hotel Bucharest. Don’t get confused re. the coaches on the opposite side of Universitate square – they are for other tour companies. Once you’ve checked in with the QR code, we were split into groups and then the coaches drove round and collected us from where we were waiting at 7:00am. You need to be there at least 20 minutes beforehand because there are a lot of people. The cost for the tour was about €20, however, admission to the two castles is in addition and an extra €35/175 lei. You can either pay this to the guide on the coach, or buy the tickets yourself - but then not have a guide. We got to Peles Castle at 8:45 am and although we were first in line, had to wait 30 minutes until it opened at 9:15am. Be mindful that it’s in the mountains so a lot colder. Emanuel gave us a Whistle-stop tour and we only saw some of the ground floor rooms. Most of the castle is currently in scaffolding. There was a café and just one toilet for women, one toilet for men and it was a 15 - 20 minute wait to use them! I would’ve liked more time at Peles to have seen more of the castle and the grounds. We left at 10:30am. Next stop was Bran castle. We had about 1 and 3/4 hours there. The castle is more impressive from the outside. Looking around inside was very quick. You are given free time to look around the market that sells tourist junk and grab a snack. Final stop was Brasov and we had 2 hours there from 1:45pm. Lovely town with a mediaeval Square and plenty of outside restaurants. We left Brasov at 3:45 pm and got back to Central Bucharest at 7:30pm. Very heavy traffic coming back. I think we drove 400 km and it was a 13 hour day. This was on a Sunday. Emanuel was great and very knowledgeable. I would recommend the tour but it’s a shame Peles was so rushed.Written 9 March 2025
- TheKayfamily0 contributionsBrilliant day with the best guide and driverWe had an amazing day, our guide Emanuel and our driver Nicky were the best. Emanuel put us first by changing the schedule around to avoid crowds as much as possible which was amazing, definitely would book again and would request these guys if possible. Not a terrain for those unsteady on their feet as a lot of steps and cobbles at all three places. Excellent value for moneyWritten 8 March 2025
- AlanL13070 contributionsAmazing! The tour guide was the highlight of the tour. The cost was cheap and I really recommend to everyone who visiting Romania.Written 8 March 2025
- 70vasilikit0 contributionsA bit about the route, the guides, the destinations + tipsThis tour was the best choice of my whole trip to Romania with my partner! It was amazing. 1. The bus was extremely clean and the bus driver very good. 2. The tour guides were excellent! A special thanks to Alex for teaching our group about Romanian history, folklore and politics. 3. The destinations we visited were great and the routes we passed through, we saw Sinaia, Peles Castle, the Carpathian, Brașov and Bran Castle. 4. A little tip, think of questions to ask because the guides are more than adpet to answer them and open an amazing conversation. Also, have some water with you and mind that in Peles Castle the queue for the toilet is long so be patient :)Written 8 March 2025
- Joshua L0 contributionsSolid Tour - Emmanuel was greatTour was as advertised. It’s a full day trip to see two castles and a town. Emmanuel was my tour guide (would try to get him). He was great with timing to see everything and make it back to Bucharest at a reasonable hour and eat dinner etc. Emmanuel was able to navigate around an absolute zoo of other tours which was amazing.Written 2 March 2025

Fun and educational trip to see the old port city of Constanta and Mamaia beach. We met our awesome guide Marius at another hotel which was roughly a 10 minute walk from mine. Marius spoke perfect English and gave a very in-depth history of the ancient port city and the its importance in Romania's history. Once we arrived at Constanta we walked around city a stopped by a few of the old churches and a synagogue which had a tower that you could climb to see the entire city and modern port. We then visited a nice history museum which contained lots of local artifacts (mostly Roman) and then checked out a big Roman mosaic which is situated right next to the museum. After our museum tour we headed to Mamaia beach on the Black Sea. Overall a very nice, educational tour for those interested getting away from Bucharest and seeing the Black Sea as well as learning about the ancient history of Romania.

Andrei Knows the city and history about Romania. He is very easygoing and well organised the trip.
Beach is fun! Bring water shoes and swimsuits , would be hard to walk on the beach because it’s full of shells! Limited time to swim in the beach.
Bring at least 40 lei for ticket of optional tourist attractions. we visited the mosque and history museum, it’s definitely worth it

We used Trip Advisor reviews to select this tour. We were taking a River Cruise to Amsterdam, and wanted to make the entire vacation from the Black Sea to the North Sea. Paul was our tour guide and he gave us an exceptional experience. He drove us to Constanta in just over 2 hours which went by quickly as he entertained us with information and storied about Romania and Constanta. We spent about 2 and 1/2 hours visiting 3 museums where Paul talked us through the highlights of each museum and the old Casino - and we were able to briefly wade in the Black Sea. Instead of going to Mamaia, Paul agreed to give us a guided tour of Bucharest City Center. We walked around old town for about an hour where Paul explained the history of the key sights. Overall, an amazing tour and a most enjoyable day. Paul is a great driver, conversationalist and tour guide.

It was a terrible experience!! The One Excellence Tour Company denied seat in the min-van as it was full and the tour guide promised that, one more mini-van will be picking us up. Even after waiting for an hour there was no sign of pickup. When we tried to call the customer service phone number, no one picked the phone. Sent multiple whatsapp message and email messages. No response at all. Very disappointed. Hoping to receive the refund....

Dear Keshavaraja Alive,
Thank you for your review. We take into account all received reviews as we strive offer the best service.
Upon checking your review, we have noticed that it contains false information, for which we will apply full transparency in our response. Your booking for Constanta trip was received via GetYourGuide and this is part of it:
Date: 27 March 2024, 08:00 (08:00am)
Number of participants:
2 x Adults (Age 18 - 99 ) (€ 70.00)
Reference number: GYGFWXF5RAM9
Main customer:
Shilpa Rao
However one night before we received multiples emails, WhatsApp phone calls and messages for the company to provide pick-up at your hotel, although it was not part of the service and it had a meeting point with 8:00 am departure time. This is why we never responded.
More in the morning, the guide reported that instead of 2 adults for this booking, another 3rd person was brought and when he asked for the voucher, you have refused to present the voucher and jumped in the minivan, making it harder for the guide to manage the situation. The 3rd person was a child at the age of 10-12 years old. The guide removed you from the group and told you that you have not payed for the third person (the child) and you were insisting that you were going to keep him in your lap, making illegal for the minivan to have more people than seats allowed. The guide stated that only 2 seats were allocated for your booking, as per the booking details. We have later detailed the situation to GetYourGuide with the attempted fraud and denied your refund request.
Now for the part that made everything clear to us was that you had another booking for Bucharest tour next day:
Date: 28 March 2024, 09:00 (09:00am)
Number of participants:
2 x Adults (Age 18 - 99 ) (€ 41.00)
1 x Child (Age 11 - 17 ) (€ 35.00)
Reference number: GYGLMWFRLA3H
Main customer:
Keshavaraja Alive
Both bookings had same phone number.
What we have noticed, is that on the other booking you did add the third person.
We do not condone false information nor attempts of casting a negative light over a situation that was out of our control. If one booking has 2 adults mentioned, then 2 seats will be allocated as per the booking.
We wish you best of travel!

We booked a trip to Constanta as we wanted to see the Black Sea. Our guide was Paul and I must say that he is very knowledgeable and his English is perfect. Throughout the tour he gave us interesting insights about Romanian history and general facts. Constanta is great place to visit and the museums are great. If you want to explore Romanian history and have great sites with a knowledgeable guide, this is the perfect tour !

My college aged daughter and I really enjoyed our tour in Constanta. As it was still a bit cold for the beach we spent most of our time there. Being from the USA, we were taken by the breadth of ancient artifacts dating back to the first century at the archeology museum and size of the Roman mosaic. We enjoyed the view from the minaret and climbing on the rocks at the Black Sea by the casino. Our tour guide, Paul, was very knowledgeable and told us the full story behind Dracula, as well as highlighting some artifacts with details that helped bring them to life, plus providing a good restaurant suggestion.

Very enjoyable day. Definitely worth climbing the 140 steps of the mosque minaret to see the the view of the Black Sea. Walking along the gigantic beach in Mamaia and finding shells was my favorite part of the day
