Itinerary
- 1Meeting your driver and guide at your accommodation or previously arranged pick-up point, board a climate-controlled vehicle for the trip towards Plitvice Lakes National Park for a guided, 5-mile (8.5-km) hike that explores some of the Plitvice’s 16 lakes, which are linked by waterfalls. You’ll see the lower and upper lakes on foot, then board a train for a brief ride. The last Plitvice Lakes adventure is a boat cruise across Kozjak Lake, which is surrounded by thick evergreen forest (train and boat service are suspended from November through March, when tours of Plitvice Lakes National Park are on foot). Starting point is at the north entrance of the park (Entrance 1). Sightseeing is circular and includes the Lower and Upper Lakes area, and a combination of walks and electric-boat rides, while the return to starting point will be mostly by panoramic train. Enjoy the beauty of the largest and most attractive waterfalls and countless smaller waterfalls, as well as the lakes.

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- marjoryk5090 contributionsWonderful ZagrebA wonderful walk for an hour and a half with Kristina, who appreciated the fact I have very bad knees, and didn’t try to rush us. Her knowledge of the history of Zagreb old town buildings is so good and she is able to pass on her knowledge in such an interesting way. Her friendly manner and generosity of time was very much appreciated. We recommend Kristina wholeheartedly as a guide.Written 20 July 2024
- Alicia R0 contributionsMust do in Zagreb!Kristina met us at our hotel lobby for a walking tour of the city. Being the low season, we were lucky to have this as a private tour and all of the sites were much more pleasant as less tourists are around. Kristina provided great information about the sites in excellent English. We sampled cheese at the Dolac market, all farm to table. I’m usually apprehensive about cheese not knowing if it will be pungent tasting (which I don’t like) but these cheeses were so delicious! We also ate at a štrukli restaurant later in the tour, which is one of the best things I have ever eaten! Definitely try the blueberry! Overall we had a great tour with excellent company feeling more like we were learning from a friend. Book this tour and ask for Kristina!Written 5 February 2020
- Chris J0 contributionsWalking tour of ZagrebOur guide gave my partner and me an excellent overview of the history of Zagreb and its key features. We also tasted locally made cheese and went to a restaurant for a traditional Croatian dish. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I recommend this tour.Written 2 November 2019
- SedulousTraveler0 contributionsInteresting tour for foodiesWe toured with Kristina, a Zagreb native and enthusiast, in the heart of Zagreb and she regaled us with details of her hometown. On that particular day we were the only tour participants in this walking tour and we requested that she focus the tour on food related activities. Our first stop was the farmer's market where we talked to locals and sampled food. The farmers market is located outdoors and also below ground in air conditioned space. We sampled cheese and bread as part of this tour. Next we toured the Upper Town and Kristina pointed out the important historical landmarks. We learnt a good amount of Zagreb history during this phase of the tour. Included in the tour was a stop for coffee. We concluded our tour at La Struk,a restaurant that specializes in Strukli. You must visit this restaurant in Zagreb to eat Strukli, a traditional dish of Croatia. Overall this was a wonderful tour that focused on the food and history of Zagreb. Highly Recommended.Written 19 July 2019

- cdlessard0 contributionsVery interesting private walking/food tourWe had a wonderful time touring the city! Kristina had so much knowledge and passion about Zagreb and it's history. We tasted some very nice cheeses at the market, had a traditional coffee break and a typical Strukli dish on a lovely terasse. The weather was terribly hot, but Kristina did all she could to keep us well hydrated and out of the sun. Would highly recommended!Written 16 June 2019

- Pathfinder7172830 contributionsFantastic Private tour, highly reccomendedWe booked this tour as part of our weekend break in Zagreb. We selected the earlier tour to get as much of the day as we can. Our guide Kristina gave us all of the info and interesting facts about Zagreb, surrounding and Croatia in general. We loved the food tasting on the Dolac market and a nice pastry with fresh cheese Strukli that followed. We were delighted to hear the cannon and take the funicular ride. We will surely book them next time in Croatia.Written 9 April 2019

- MatijaG250 contributionsChristmas market tour with food tasting was AMAZING. And yummy. The guided walking tour of multiple award winner Zagreb Christmas market with food tasting was - amazing. And yummy. The food was mostly excellent and our tour guide Kristina was really, really great. She knew all the answers to our questions before we even thought of any. She was kind enough to lower the pace of the tour so I can participate (I walk in prosthetic legs) and recommended disable-friendly attractions and routes. Definitely would recommend!Written 28 January 2019

Kristina is the best and the most knowledgeable guide we've ever had. I've already recommended her to everyone I know; you cannot go wrong booking this tour with her! Not only do you get to see one of Croatia's most beautiful natural attractions, but you also learn so many fun and interesting tidbits about Croatia and Croatian way of life.
Thanks, we will be returning!
