Your dedicated guide will meet you and your party outside your Sofia hotel for 9am pickup. Climb into your tour vehicle and get acquainted on the trip out of the city, which takes about two hours. Listen to your guide's commentary about the culture, history, and people of the area as you drive through the Rila Mountains, a rugged landscape covered with lush pine forests.

Upon arrival, take a 3-hour tour of the monastery's holy cloister. Rila Monastery is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates back to the 10th century, famous for its ornate interior and colorful frescoes.

Relax over lunch before heading back to Sofia for hotel drop-off.
