About
Today life is fast, with not many social interactions between people, not many people sing, or they sing without love, no emotions, motive, sincerity, no sense, and inspiration. With these feelings, there is no room for „sevdah“. „Sevdah“ is a testimony to the days that were a moment, and they became eternity.
When in Sarajevo, in many small coffee shops, „sevdalinka“ can be heard, but don’t miss the opportunity to have a live performance of „sevdalinka“ right in front of Your eyes, to absorb the energy of traditional Bosnian love song, to feel the Bosnian spirit in a relaxed atmosphere of mahala. In the coziness of a traditional Bosnian house, You will be told impressive stories about Bosnian culture and the way of life. Offering a unique experience, Bosnian coffee, rahatlokum, and other finest delicacies, accompanied by a soothing „sevdalinka“ live performance, we will make You fall in love with Bosnia and Herzegovina!
Be our guests on this beautiful night to be remembered.

- Go481441672140 contributionsAmazing tour, local guide with incredible knowledge, highly recommendedI took the Franz Ferdinand walking tour. I was lucky to be in a small group guided by Ado. Ado took me around the stops important to the final day of the Archduke, and while in between stops he sprinkled in knowledge of other aspects of Sarajevan history relevant to understanding the significance of the events of 1914. Ado started out slow and built my understanding up from there. I felt I left with a new found understanding of the events of that day in 1914, the reasons they culminated the way they did, and their lasting effect as far as the conflicts of the late 1900s. Ado took his time to explain everything and astounded by his knowledge, I asked many many questions. Ado was prepared in every regard to answer anything I could think of. Highly recommend this tour group and particularly the guide, Ado. Thank you for making a wonderful and informative experience!Written 16 November 2024
- E589TAjanetf0 contributionsFabulous day trip with and excellent guide.Following an excellent free guided tour around the city with Spirit we decided to book this trip with them. We were not disappointed. We ended up with just the two of us and Emir our guide who was amiable and knowledgeable. He was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. The trip was amazing. We loved Travnik and the Mosque and Fortress . He clearly knew a lot about the history and was very interesting. It was extremely scenic and a highlight was the beautiful Pliva Lakes and the Water Mills. We loved Jayce and got to see the Catacombs and the trip was topped off by the beautiful waterfalls just outside the city. It was a fabulous day full of beauty and culture and we felt very spoiled to have the tour to ourselves. He even stopped off at the side of the road to allow us to take photos and picked us apples from a tree. Thank you Spirit Tours and Emir it was a truly memorable day!Written 11 October 2024
- ToniT10790 contributionsTunnel of Hope for BosniansThis museum is a tribute to the Bosnians who built a tunnel during the conflict with Serbians in 1990s. The actual tunnel that carried people from one side of town to the other is being refurbished so a simulated tunnel offered us the real experience of traveling through the tunnel. The other exhibits show weapons, office items, and photos of the conflict.Written 29 September 2024
- 937spelab0 contributions100% recommendedGreat trip despite the weather! Helpful organisation staff, who were very responsive to all our queries, and friendly tour guide/driver who told us a lot about Bosnia, Sarajevo and Lukomir on the way. Mostly off-road, so I would definitely recommend going on an organised tour rather than taking your car, unless you have a 4x4Written 16 September 2024
- Traveller280000000 contributionsPrivate tour through beautiful HerzegovinaWe had an amazing tour with our private guide Saftin. He brought us through the wonderful countryside and mountains of Herzegovina. We were at various beautiful spots and he took us to places off the beaten track, inclusding Villa Rustica (a former roman village) and a stay in and at the Trebižat river.Written 7 September 2024

- 169antjem0 contributionsFranz Ferdinand’ assassination helps understand the bigger pictureVery knowledgeable and passionate guide explaining not only how Franz Ferdinand spent the last day of his life visiting Sarajevo in a colourful amusing way . She managed to link the assassination to the political situation in Europe and the Balkans at the time, why it triggered WW1. We liked the walking tour with Yldma very much and learned a lot about history and its significance to better understand current challenges of BiH as a multicultural country. Highly recommendedWritten 14 August 2024
- michaelak8370 contributionsInteresting placeVery nice museum, we got there with our tour guide and we could then look around. I found it very interesting and it's good to go there when being nearby.Written 12 August 2024
- 157alyciaw0 contributionsDetail on an important turning point in European historyWe learned about Franz Ferdinand but the tour guide was also will to answer many other questions we had about Sarajevo. Highly recommended! Do able walking tour even for our 5 year old.Written 11 August 2024
- 157alyciaw0 contributionsGood springboard for further explorationVery nice tour. It was doable with children. The tour guide was able to not leave out anything but still keep it appropriate for the age group. We enjoyed the fact that the guide included their own experiences. We were able to use the tour as a springboard to explore independently later.Written 11 August 2024
- R1263FBpaolag0 contributionsWonderful hike to the Waterfalls with great company! The tour was great, we were picked up at our hotel in the morning and drove to the highest point of the mountains to start our hike. From then on it took about an hour to get to the Waterfalls. We had great company with the guide and could enjoy the best out of Sarajevo’s nature. I would definitely recommend this tour with Spirit Tours!Written 7 August 2024
- nml9226010 contributionsGreat day tourWhen our original day tour was cancelled by a different company, we reached out to Spirit Tours instead. I’m glad we did, because we had a great time and got to see places we otherwise wouldn’t have gone to on our own. Our guide allowed us time on our own at each stop to take in the sights. It was very laid back, which was nice. This was a great tour, but be warned that it’s very long (due to distance) and there is a lot of time spent in the car.Written 19 June 2024
- nml9226010 contributionsGreat walking tourWe did the full walking tour and really enjoyed the experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided detailed information that helped us understand the history of this beautiful city. I highly recommend this tour company.Written 19 June 2024
