Sarajevo, Jerusalem of Europe walking tour starts from Meet Bosnia Travel agency every day at 18:00.
We will begin with story about capital city of Bosnia and herzegovina and its history. You will find out why Sarajevo is called European Jerusalem. If You wonder where to find all cultural and religious sacraments in extend of 50 meters, that place is Sarajevo.

We will see Old Orthodox Church and it’s museum, one of the oldest churches in Sarajevo. This church is pilgrimage.

The most recognisible landmark of Sarajevo is Sebilj, wooden fountain located on Baščaršija square. The legend says that drinking water from here means that You will come back in Sarajevo surely again. You will find oldest street in Sarajevo, and walk through Baščaršija. Baščaršija is the main square constructed in 15th century.
Expect to find oldest mosque in Sarajevo, and biggest mosque known as Gazi Husrev-bey. We will walk through oldest shopping center in Sarajevo “Bezistan” – old bazaar from Ottoman period.

Sarajevo City Hall is the most beautiful Austro-Hungarian-era building. From 1949 the building became the National Library. The building now houses the national and university libraries, the city council, and a museum.

Listen to story of jewish community that is existing in Sarajevo for almost five centuries. Do you know that in Sarajevo there was no geto for jews? Old Jewish temple is located in old town and it has interesting museum related to jewish traditions and customs in Balkans.

Nearby the most beautiful mosque in Europe, mosque of Gazi Husrev-bey find unique Clock Tower famous by showing totally unusual time for XX century.

After spot that says “Sarajevo meeting of coultures” we will continue in direction of modern part of Sarajevo connected to arrival of Habsburg monarchy. Sarajevo walking tour shows Cathedral and statue of Pope John Paul II who visited Bosnia two times. We will talk about Sarajevo roses and famous people that lived in Sarajevo. Tour includes visit to Markale market, famous market that is remembered for three massacres during Balkans wars and Siege of Sarajevo.

Goede tour

We had a walking tour with a small group. Sabrina told us all about the city sarajevo and the history and differend cultures that live there. It was very interesting and great, thanks for the great experience, greetings and hopefully we meet again.

Walking Tour of Sarajevo - so I think the above title is right
