Malamala Island is situated on a little slice of heaven, just a short 30-minute vessel transfer from Port Denarau. Picture perfect white sands and crystal clear water, like a scene pulled straight from a postcard. Small enough to stroll barefoot around the island in 20 minutes, large enough to feel like your own deserted paradise. Malamala Beach Club is fully equipped with everything you need to switch off, unwind and chill out.

Great family day out to celebrate a 1st birthday
We went here today to celebrate our daughters first birthday. We had the best time and our host Elijah was amazing and was checking in on us at our private cabana whenever we needed anything. He was so helpful and even organised the entire staff to come and sing happy birthday to our daughter whilst he played his guitar which was amazing. The best way to spend a day in Fiji!!

        Ladies time-out
The view is actually superb. Did not had any sitting issues. Food is lovely but not many options to chose from. Price of food a little too high for the portion. Would be great if more water sports such as Jet ski, Para-sailing and so could also be brought in. Hats off to each and every staff. They were amazing, gentle and very cooperating.

        The Premier Island Experience
We had a great experience at the beach club, we had booked poolside daybeds for an extra fee but it was well worth it. Strongly recommend, like other experiences, reserving daybeds prior to arrival. We had a great experience with the wait staff, and had great couples near us even young families. The infinity pool had great views and we spent most the day in the pool with a cocktail or a cold beer. Lots of free and fun activities in the water such as snorkelling and canoing, also other paid activities such as massages. Boat to and from Port Denarau was punctual and had plenty of seating. Would strongly recommend for a island hop where you want to set your own pace or want quality time with a great view and great company. Best island experience we had in Fiji. Would happy do it again (and nearly did).

        Malamala getaway
This is a great day trip to get away! The local beaches on Nadi were not the nicest as in clean pristine sane and water. But definitely take this excursion if you want some peace, sun, sand and blue water! The 25 min boat trip was fun, no need to fight for spots on our day at the beach. Plenty of activities too but relaxation is as our objective and they delivered!

        Discrimination at its best
The island itself is very nice. This would have been the highlight of the trip .but my gosh ..the workers need to be trained to see us brown ppl too..we also would like to order lunch. They ran only after Caucasians..but we ran after the attendants to please give us a menu...such disgrace really..i don't remember a big loud bula for ua..whilst the rest of the quest were so warmly greeted.. Sad..will never return..and make sure my family don't visit there also

        Beautiful tropical island
Love this island, snorkelling gear was good, the water clear and the tropical fish were beautiful. The island facilities were great and the staff very attentive. Great to be able to kayak and paddle board. Plenty of shady spots even if you don’t hire a cabana. Enjoyed the infinity pool, and great to have a beach towel provided. Can’t wait to return.

        To not be repeated
We were a friends going to Malamala for a different Sunday but nothing has been worked. For drinks need to ask 4/5 times and was delivered after 40 minutes. For the food waiting between 1 hour to almost 2 hours. Quality of the service almost zero. Quality of the food disappointed it was outstanding now below the low quality

        Island Paradise
We had a long layover in Fiji and decided to do this day Tour. The island is beautiful. We did a little snorkeling, walked around the island, jumped off the dock and enjoyed the pool. Food and drinks were good. We did pay extra to have place by the pool and thought it was worth it. The ferry ride was easy 30 minutes. We enjoyed our time here.

        Better for couples not families
I wouldn’t recommend a full day here with kids. Half day at most would be plenty. There is no kids menu at all and the serve of fries we got cost $17 and was about 20 chips at most. There were plenty of kids here so god knows why a kids menu isn’t offered. We were there on a rainy day and there wasn’t enough seating under cover for everyone so it was a cold miserable day for us huddled under an umbrella trying to stay dry. The staff did offer extra towels which was great. We sadly had a snorkelling death while on the island even though it was calm waters so please be safe out there. It’s a beautiful island but I would recommend it more to couples or younger people, not families.

Must to do when in Fiji🇫🇯
We had an incredible day out on a beautiful island, enjoying a lovely pool with breathtaking views. The food was fantastic, and the staff provided service that was truly exceptional. Overall, it was a perfect experience for everyone. We booked a cabana with an ideal view, and our server, Pedelian, made our stay unforgettable. We returned just two days later, and he even reserved chairs for us. A big thank you to the entire team—Vinaka!

        Poor service, high prices
I boarded the 9:30 boat to the island on 13 October. I was told that a waiter would make his rounds with a menu. By 3 PM, that waiter never came. Pretty much the whole day no staff ever came for my food or drink order. I made my way over to the restaurant area around 3:30 and decided to order a coconut with a straw because I was dehydrated. It took over 10 minutes for them to bring my coconut out. One coconut cost 10 Fiji dollars, which is pretty outrageous. I was also pretty annoyed that it took them over 10 minutes to bring out a coconut when they know I hadn’t been given any drinks all day. I do not recommend this trip or this company at all. I did the captain Cook cruises in May and had a fabulous time so I was pretty disappointed with this experience. I did a bunch of snorkeling and wasn’t even a little impressed with the reef. It was nice to spend a day, relaxing at the beach, but I won’t do any tours by this organization again due to customer service.

We arrived on a morning flight and wanted to spend the day on an Island. The food was delicious and the staff was so friendly. Don’t waste your money on cocktails at Port Denarau, go to Malamala and spend a full day on the Island.

So, you only see places like Malamala island in magazines...until you find yourself there. I booked this on a whim and it was the best $80 or so I've ever spent. I'd say the same thing at twice the price.

The beaches, the service, the food, the drinks, and the serenity were next level.

Really enjoyed our half day at Malamala Beach Club. A half day was the perfect amount of time for our family of 2 adults 2 kids. We got there and had a delicious lunch at the restaurant - it did take a long time for the food to come out but the kids went in the pool while waiting. The infinity pool is really nice here and we spent more time in the pool than swimming in the sea. But the family went kayaking. Unfortunately we had some bad weather with a thunderstorm but it passed after about an hour. Was quite nice in the afternoon as we were on the second departure so the island emptied out, the sun came out and we had more cocktails and dessert and swam in the pool. It felt like paradise!

Pretty wee island. Great equipment provided for snorkelling etc. Luckily we struck high tide. Unless you pay more than the already pricey half day trip, it’s difficult to find a cool shady spot. Food great in lovely cool cafe with fans by the pool. Too hot anywhere else for even older children. Showers at cafe were only a dribble. Still has too loud music per earlier reviews. Seemed disorganised & big confusion which bus to take home.

Bula christinebU3912QK, Sounds like your time on the island had wonderful highlights and that you were happy with the snorkeling equipment as well as the food and a cool spot to relax. We have raised the issue of limited shady areas, showers, loud music and bus issues to the management team for prompt improvements. Hope to welcome you back to paradise soon for improved expereinces soon. Vinaka

The island is beautiful & the staff are friendly but it was a bit underwhelming for the price. The hand day trip is expensive for a family & the food etc at the club is overpriced.

I think it’s more suited to teens and young adults than families - the music is loud & the pool area is quite adult.

We did have a nice day but I don’t think it offered much more than a nice hotel. If you’re going for the snorkelling I’d suggest trying elsewhere as it’s pretty average. The views are stunning though.

Took the boat out to Mulamula Island. Really nice trip on board air conditioned high speed catamaran.

The Island itself is quite small and a breeze to walk around in 20 or so minutes. The staff were friendly and we had our own cabana.

Really extraordinary beach and nice to swim in. I recommend some reef shoes though as the coral can be sharp to walk on. This was an excellent experience and well worth the costs. I thoroughly and enthusiastically recommend it.

This was the highlight of our holiday to Fiji.
The staff are so helpful and welcoming. They remained professional when dealing with rude and demanding guests. The food was the best we had whilst in Fiji. My only regret is that we did a half day and not a full day. Next visit will be a full day.
My kids aged from 3 - 14 all had a great time as well.

We loved malamala beach club we had a cabana which is a must I feel especially with kids. The ride over wad a catamaran with plenty of room for all passengers.
There is also an infinity pool and plenty of tables and chairs.
You can hire snorkeling gear but we took our own.
Reef shoes are a must as the sand is broken up coral.
If we went again we would go for a full day we enjoyed it so much.

Great day out, exceeded our expectations, concerned it may be a party island but glad it wasn’t. Plenty to keep you occupied during the day. Hot tip book early and pay for a cabana they are situated on the quieter side of the island. If you don’t get a cabana there’s enough parasols and sun loungers but make sure you get off the boat quickly as it’s like the hunger games to score them!

We had a fantastic day on this beautiful island ….
Food was great , cocktails amazing.
We swam in the bluest waters and snorkeled around the island.

I thoroughly recommend this as a day trip from Denarau.
25 mins on the fast ferry was also perfect.
We did the half day which we felt was enough for us…. 12 til 5pm.
We were a family group of 14 .. adults and 2 kids ..
      We loved it !!
