- HariharanB70 contributionsExcellent 5 star experience of tours (Quadbike, Cusco city tour and Sacred valley tour) I took through this companyCarla was extremely professional from the get go! I reached out to her just for the Quadbike ATV tour for my family on the day I was reaching my hotel in Cusco. She came to my hotel lobby (on time!) at Cusco to explain to me about the tour and I ended up booking all my other tours (Cusco city tour and Sacred Valley tour) through her! Her guides spoke good English, and were on time and very professional. My family enjoyed all three tours (Quad bike, Cusco city tour and Sacred valley tour) that we took through her and will highly recommend her for these or any other tours around Cusco, Machu Pichu or Sacred Valley!Written 3 January 2024

Very good service! Trustworthy and everything super organized:) I would repeat it again.
The ATV Tour was an exciting and unique experience that exceeded my expectations. From the beginning, the staff's attention was exceptional, providing detailed information about the route and making sure we were all comfortable operating the ATVs. The tour itself was impressive, taking us through spectacular scenery and challenging trails that really tested our skills. The guide was knowledgeable and passionate, sharing interesting facts about the local flora and fauna. Additionally, the length of the tour was perfect, allowing us to enjoy every moment without feeling rushed. Safety was an obvious priority, with quality protective equipment provided. In short, this ATV tour was an unforgettable experience that I would recommend to any adventure lover.

Recently we had the opportunity to take groups to the impressive salt mines of Zipaquirá, and I can say without a doubt that it is an experience that everyone should live. The majesty of Sal Cathedral is simply astonishing, and the history behind its creation adds significant value to the visit.
For large groups, the experience is vibrant and full of energy. The guides are experts and manage to keep everyone engaged as they explore the galleries and marvel at the sculptures and lighting that bring this place to life. The interaction between the members of the group creates an atmosphere of shared camaraderie and wonder, making each moment memorable.
The magical atmosphere of the mines, combined with the history and culture around them, makes each visit unique. Whether in large or small groups, the experience in Zipaquirá is truly unforgettable and recommended for all travelers who wish to explore a piece of Colombia’s cultural and natural richness.
I recommend visiting the salt mines of Zipaquirá, you will not regret it!, especially if you do it with agencies that know and have the management of groups and knowledge of the places to visit

It was a well organised trip from pick up to return to venue. They came to our hotel at the time requested. We were then transported in an air-conditioned bus about an hour away to see the Salt Mines (spent about 20 minutes here for photo opportunities) then went on to the garage - which is about 15 minutes away.
A brief tutorial was given on how to operate the Quad Bikes then we were on our way to Moray. Overall the actual time on the bikes was about 2 hours. Edgar was quite funny and is an amazing photographer! Make sure you have him take a few for you. He has a few ideas and your pics will be banging! We had an amazing time! I would recommend this tour. The price was decent and worth it.
A few things to note however:
1. The entry fee to the Saltmines is 20 PEN per person and not 10 PEN as listed in the description, we went with exact cash, so it did cause some arkwardness.
2. Walk with a bottle of water as no water is provided as per description
3. Don't go in brand new or white clothing - the trek is quite dusty so be prepared to be covered in dirt.

On May the 22th we had the quad tour, which we booked it at our hostel that we were staying at. The itinarary sounded very great. Little did we know...
First of all, the pick up was very late. Due to that reason the driver was already telling us that the plans changed and we would go to the salt lakes by car first, before going to the start of the quad tour. So far there were not any big problems, apart from the fact that the tour was rushed very much.
When we reached the quads it was already 4pm. We drove to Moray by quads in approximately 30 minutes. In Moray we paid the entrance fee of 70 soles per person. Inside, the guide, who could barely speak English, told us some information about Moray. This took 5 minutes. After finishing the explanation, the guide told us we needed to be back at the quads within another 5 minutes. We spent a total of 10 minutes in Moray, for 140 soles, while the sun was already going down...
Back at the quads we drove the excact same route back to the starting point. Probably because this was the quickest route, and it was already getting dark. In total, we drove the quads for approximately 60 minutes.
The day after we talked to the tourist information at our hostel, but she couldn't really help us. She called the company that provided the tour, but was told that it is just the way it is.
So yeah, in total we spent 460 soles for a very disappointing experience, whicht didn't meet the expectations at all. For us, it is not a problem to be the "unlucky" group of the day, as long as we are told what to expect.
Please temper your expectations before booking this tour!

The tour itself was great, but the tour guide significantly diminished the overall experience.
I love Peru, but when I think back on my experience with the ATV tour guide, I have my doubts. There are three key points I want to highlight:
1. Lack of Insurance and Safety Concerns
The ATVs provided during the tour did not have insurance for either the vehicles or the drivers. Looking back, this was extremely dangerous, especially for participants with little to no driving experience. The road conditions were far from safe, with routes skirting dangerous cliffs. In the event of an accident or loss of control, there was no nearby medical support available. This posed a considerable risk to all participants.
2. Unfair Fines for Vehicle Damage
At the end of the tour, one of my friends accidentally cracked the front of their ATV. However, the tour guide unfairly attributed an additional crack (which had clearly been there for a long time, as evidenced by dust under the crack) on the seat to my friend. This led to an unreasonable and inflated fine. Thankfully, when we called the boss—a reasonable and fair woman—she deducted the fine by more than 100%.
3. Overpriced and Poor-Quality Products
During the trip, the tour guide took us to a shop near the salt flats to sample various chocolates. While the chocolates initially seemed great, we later discovered they were priced significantly higher than those available in other markets in the city. Moreover, when we brought the chocolates home, they tasted completely different from the samples we tried at the store—almost as if they had gone bad.
In conclusion, while the tour itself was enjoyable, participants should be cautious about the safety risks and be wary of issues with the tour guide.

Dear, thank you for taking your time to write your opinion, but we have to explain the following to you:
1. When you made the reservation, you were told that insurance for adventure tourism in Cusco is not included for any activity.
2. Our guides are highly professional and experienced in the field, the accident was because you were told that you should not use a cell phone on the route if you do not have experience but you did it and this was the cause of your distraction.
3. We greatly appreciate your comment but we do not agree with the points you mention because it was not our fault nor was it the guide's.

We recently enjoyed the half-day ATV tour to Maras & Moray, and it was an incredible experience. We were picked up from the Willka Travel office in a comfortable minibus and driven to a gathering point near Moray. There, we received thorough safety instructions and a brief training session on the ATVs. The ATVs are semi-automatic, meaning they require gear shifting but no clutch, making them relatively easy to operate.
The ride to Moray and back to the gathering point on the ATVs took about 45-60 minutes each way. The guides accompanied us on dirt bikes, ensuring everyone’s safety and satisfaction. Due to safety concerns and previous accidents on the narrow and steep public road to Maras, the segment from Moray to Maras was done by minibus. This road can get quite crowded with visitors heading to the Maras salt mines.
Our tour guide, Edgar, did an excellent job. His English was great, he provided clear explanations throughout the tour, and took pictures. The only minor issue was the timing – we left the Willka office at 1:30 PM, 30 minutes behind schedule, which made the tour feel a bit rushed as we had to reach the Maras salt mines before sunset.

The tour we paid for was supposed to be in Spanish and in the end, it turned out to be in English since they put us in the group they wanted to complete it. No water bottle.
The material they leave you is very deteriorated. The helmets do not fit the head, the glass of the helmet was so scratched that it prevented you from seeing the road and the gloves more of the same.
The route is along a horrible dirt road, which causes the line of 4x4s to kick up a lot of dust. This makes vision completely difficult, you get dirty and you also cover all the locals who live and work there with dust. Nothing ethical on our part.
Before the route, there is a stop at a souvenir shop where the guide explains the different types of salt, but it is basically a stop for you to spend money.

We did the Salt Mines and Moray tour, it was fantastic, you get a good 1.5-2 hours on the bikes across different terrain, really fun and our guide was informative. So good we opted to do Rainbow Mountain on Quads the next day, 20/30 min ride up and similar back down. A different kind of Quad experience but excellent in its own right! A great way to see the famed mountain! Thank you Carla!

Quad biking was a lot of fun, well worth it, good value and we had a great tour guide. The views are insanely beautiful and there was a little stop off to taste some delicious chocolate, so glad we decided to do this on our last day in Cusco. (Make sure you have 90 sol in cash for entry, if you have a tourist ticket already from one of the other sites you don’t have to pay 70 sol for another on this tour, but send a photo of your ticket to the guide to be sure)

What a great experience and way to see parts of Sacred Valley! Great value for money, our group of 3 were the only ones speaking English so they arranged our own private quad bike tour. Guide was awesome, super friendly and informative. Didn’t get very muddy (contrary to some of the other reviews) and had a lot of fun particularly on the return journey where we went faster. They are semi automatic and very easy to operate - it was my first time but after 1 min of riding I felt comfortable. Overall 10 out of 10 experience!
