About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- GGGG99610 contributionsMachu Picchu circuit 1It was great. Antony is an excellent tour guide. He explained everything on Machu Picchu. The climb was something!! Almost 3,000 steps in rocks. Thanks for everything!Written 20 November 2024
- 943paolot0 contributionsTours and quality of servicesI booked a tour package with Perueu. From the first emails I noticed the utmost seriousness and quality of the service offered. I must say that every tour was taken care of down to the smallest detail with maximum attention to the needs of those who took part. The guides were very knowledgeable and always available. During my stay they helped me a lot with problems (loss of luggage by the airline) that were not even their concern. Specifically, without Manuel's help I would have had great difficulty getting my suitcases delivered. They have not underestimated any of my requests and I can only be grateful for what they have done in recent days.Written 4 November 2024
- Footprints6169290 contributionsGreat organization by Peru and UWe have just returned from our 12-day trip to Peru and Bolivia, which, Javier from Peru and U organized. The organization was great. We never felt lost or helpless, we were always met with Peru and U representatives upon arrival at each new city. They were all very courteous and helpful and did their best to attend to our needs. Despite our worries, everything went very smoothly, there were no problems or delays in any of the inter-city or inter-country trips and connections. We were taken aback with the incredible civilization and culture we had the chance to closely observe, and we were equally happy to meet the wonderful Peruvian and Bolivian people who were always very helpful and kind. All the staff did their best to make us feel comfortable and to meet our expectations. I would like to, however, acknowledge a few particular ones: Franco, our guide in Machu Picchu, was the most knowledgeable and the most proficient in English. The ancient city, by itself, is a wonder of the world, but he made it the highlight of the whole trip with all the relevant information he provided on the history, civilization and archeology of the Inca’s. Alex, the assistant in Cusco, was very punctual, courteous and considerate to our needs. He did his best for the program to run smoothly. Erica in Lima and the assistant in Puno (whose name I could not remember) were also very punctual and helpful, but had a relatively minor role in the trip. Maribel, our guide in the first part of Bolivia, was incredibly nice and kind. Not only was she informative on the sites we visited, but also had a soothing character. She really added comfort to the tour. With regards to the itinerary, we spent seven days in Peru (Lima-Cusco-Puno) and four days in Bolivia (Copacabana-La Paz-Uyuni). We were very happy to see all the sites and had difficulty to name any site to be more exciting than others. The only exception was the lake Humantay. The lake itself and the mountains were stunning, but I am not sure it was worth the very difficult trip (three-hour trips each way on bumpy roads, on a van with non-functioning air-conditioning and a really exhaustive walk in a hypoxic environment). I had to take a horse half-way up. Besides, we were able to get back to Cusco very late in the afternoon and had almost no time to see Cusco itself, which, I think, was a big pity. I believe, the visitors must be better informed about the conditions of the tour before being distracted by the pictures of the lake on the internet. We believe a full, free day in Cusco would have been a much better option. We sincerely thank for all the efforts Peru and U staff put in to make sure we return with wonderful memories. This was a great tour and will remain in our memories for a very long time.Written 10 August 2024
- danieleS5678IV0 contributionsUnforgettable Trip! Great Tour Organizer!Booked a 6-day package with Peru & U directly from their website and traveled with my girlfriend in December of 2023. Javier helped me craft the perfect itinerary and mix of accommodations that worked best for us. We chose from 3 to 5-star hotels, the days on which we wanted breakfast and/or lunch included, as well as the day-trips and tours we were interested in. We chose to visit several archeological sites near the city of Cusco, and all of the included guided tours were top-notch. Two of the days were spent traveling to the town of Aguas Calientes by train and trekking Machu Picchu. The entire trip was amazing; the only low point was that there were several delays on the train ride back after a long day which was caused by inclement weather. Since neither the train (Inca Rail) nor the weather was operated by Peru & U, it did not detract from the wonderful experience provided to us. In fact, our extraordinary host Rodrigo was waiting at the train station for several extra hours to meet us in the face of uncertain delays. He was available and willing to help 24/7, for which we are very grateful. I was initially skeptical because I couldn't find many reviews online, but I am very glad I took the leap of faith and booked with Peru & U. I could not recommend this company more. They will help you put together exactly the kind of trip you are looking for. P.S. Once you arrive to Cusco, make sure to check out the San Pedro market and sample exotic fruits like Cherimoya!Written 4 August 2024
- vuhuy480 contributionsGood service and communicationI can highly recommend "Peru & U" travel service. It was easy to get in contact with custom service that made sure that I got picked up by the driver to my destination. I enjoyed my trip with the driver because the communication was through "Whatsapp" so it was easy to get in contact with the driver.Written 21 July 2024
- Roving112368218410 contributions10/10 ExperienceUsing this company was the best decision I made on my trip to Peru. Right away I was greeted by Alex who so kindly welcomed me to Cusco. His passion for his home and tourism was clear from the start. Besides the airport, Alex helped me with my trip to Machu Picchu. He was clear and had a great attitude the whole time. I would like to thank Peru & U for an amazing time and I recommend them to any other travelers. Thank you again Alex for your great work and communication!Written 13 June 2024
- Relax3211430 contributionsLuxury Inca Tour - 5 Days - Absolutely MagicalThere's no other way to describe the Luxury Inca Trail trip with Peru & U than MAGICAL. My friend and I were pampered beyond anything we could have imagined and I honestly can't recommend this company enough. The people on the team that helped us were nothing short of remarkable. Marco, Michael, Aide, Nemesia, Elias, Adolfo, Victor, Zenon, and the whole porter team - together, they made our trip unforgettable. We left the Inca Trail feeling inspired by the landscape, by the connection to Mother Earth and the lessons learned from our guides, and most of all by the crew who took care of us each step of the way. If you are looking for a tour company to help make your dream of hiking the Inca trail a reality - look no further. Peru & U is absolutely the right company to partner with.Written 13 May 2024
- 63kirstyd0 contributionsLUXURY INCA TRAIL 5 DAYS. What an amazing trip with Peru & U! A truly unforgettable adventure with so many memories!LUXURY INCA TRAIL 5 DAYS What an amazing 5 day trip with Peru & U! A truly unforgettable adventure with so many memories, amplified by the outstanding team looking after us on the ground. The only way to do the Inca Trail if you don’t want to “rough it”. We had a team of 21 friendly and attentive people, looking after three of us, attending to every need. Tony (Jospeh) and Cesar were exceptional guides with impressive English and great senses of humour. Not only were they very knowledgeable about Incas, they had a vast understanding of the native flora and fauna. Most importantly they ensured that our varying fitness capabilities were catered to and ensured we were safe at all times. For breakfast, lunch and dinner we had three delicious courses prepared by our head chef (Demesio) and assistant chef (Ciriaco) and served by a delightfully happy, and always smiling waiter (Feliciano). We certainly did not go hungry and the quality of the meals served at altitude, from rudimentary camp cooking facilities was impressive. Hot showers and massages at the end of each day helped our weary bodies recover from walking “Inca flat”, steep inclines and hair-raising declines. The bedding was very comfortable and warm. The special little touches like flowers on our bed, delicious local drinks, served at each meal, and the kit provided before we started (bag cover, poncho, walking poles, headlamps and travel duffle) and enthusiasm with which they flew up the trail carrying ~20 kilos on their backs, unpacking and setting up camp, then dissembling and repacking daily was phenomenal. When we reached the Sun Gate and could see Machu Picchu - there was an enormous sense of accomplishment. The Day 5 guided tour of Machu Picchu with Tony really was the icing on the cake! His passion for Incan history and culture was clear and came through in the insightful précis he provided on customs, beliefs, architecture and lifestyle. Peru & U thought of every detail to ensure comfort, enjoyment and an unforgettable Incan expedition. Highly recommended!Written 13 April 2024

- cmas_d0 contributionsLifetime experience!A fantastic lifetime experience took place in Lake Titikaka. We spent 2 wonderful days in 3 island of the lake. We were accommodated in local’s houses who took very well care of us. The trip was more than well organised. Of course our two guides Juan Carlos and Pablo took it to a whole new level and they deserve the best! Definitely recommended.Written 14 November 2023
- Q7422GLandrewr0 contributionsended up being the BEST ticket and the best thing we saw in PeruWe booked REALLY late and so had to take a premium payment option and initially thought that the route we got was not so great. However, the route was not only route#3 but also allowed access for photo shooting to the typical postcard shots. However, we only found this out because our guide told us this. The staff at the centre also did not mention this. Remember to take the extra documentation which Peru & U mail to you in the last minute as you will maybe need this - depending on the ticket you get (we got the ticket which is intended for people completing the Inca Trail and these forms somehow handle this). Machupicchu really is an incredible place to visit with the wonderfully harmonious integration of the buildings with the surrounding nature.Written 19 October 2023
- 0Poinsettia0 contributionsExcellent full day tour to see last Inca rope bridgeThis was a lengthy day tour but well worth it to see the only Inca rope bridge and see how it is created. Along the way we had toilet stops, breakfast and lunch buffet stops, and a few more stops to break up the ride and just to see interesting Peru highlights. Good driver on switchback roads, excellent and beautiful scenery and a guide who knew English and gave knowledgeable commentary along the way. Nice 15 passenger van. Well organized and conducted. Highly recommend for anyone who can sit quietly on a bus. Older kids will definitely enjoy but it is a 12 hour day.Written 27 September 2023
- 0Poinsettia0 contributionsImpressions of Peru and UWe used Peru and U for a 12+hour day trip to Q’eswachaka Rope Bridge. They were on time and organized everyone to meet together so as to travel with a single full van. They made sure we had stops along the way at interesting places (with toilets). Meals were included because it was a long tour. The 15 passenger van was comfortable. The driver was good on switchbacks and the guide knew both English and Spanish and had much to tell us. Our tour was good. I would expect other tours with Peru and U would be similar. The bridge itself was an amazing part of Inca tradition to see.Written 27 September 2023
