Nice vibe, good food & strong Pisco sour!
Peru has made me fall in love with soup😋. We did the chefs menu dinning experience. All the courses were satisfying. The potatoes were the best I had this far in Cusco. The strawberry sorbet was divine😇

Authentic experience, fantastic insight into Peruvian cuisine
We had a great afternoon at this cooking class. Ronal has lots of passion for Peruvian cuisine, and this comes through in his energy and liveliness in the kitchen. The market tour was interesting, and we learnt about all of the ingredients we later used in the class. Ronal also speaks great English, so we understood him easily. I’d highly recommend this class to anybody looking for an affordable insight into Peruvian cuisine!

      Market shopping and cooking
Had a great few hours with this guy. Emailed him direct. 100 sol each. First went to the market and he bought various foods and drinks and telling us about others. Then back to the kitchen to make a Peruvian dish and pisco sour. Food amazingly tasty. Lots of tasters too ( bread fruit cheese).

      Great experience and food.
Ronal is a great guy who is good at his craft. Ignore any comments on here about the facilities, they’re clean and authentic. This is Cusco.

      Brilliant cooking course
This course was AMAZING! Not only was the leader (Ronal) super friendly and had amazing English, the way the booking was structure was brilliant. The tour around the market was so informative and we learnt loads about the local food and cooking. Definitely recommend to do this course at the beginning of your trip so you know whats what to eat. The cooking it’s self was produced in a clean environment and was easy to follow. The finished product was so traditional and yummy. I will definitely be making it again on my return home. The fact that you also got to make a traditional drink to go with your meal definitely topped off the course. Thank you guys for a brilliant thing to do during our holiday in Peru.

      Highlight of Cusco visit
Spending an afternoon/ evening with Ronal was a highlight of our time in Cusco. Very knowledgeable of local produce and market stalls, and an impeccably clean kitchen awaits you when you return from foraging vegetables in the market. Will never forget how to make a Proper Pisco Sour (1 minute in the shaker!) and delicious Peruvian ceviche. Was very veg and Pesco friendly - and we ate our creations with new friends for an hour afterwards upstairs!

      Great value cooking class
Our amazing chef Ronal first took us to the local market, shopping bags in hand, to pick up Peruvian fruits, bread and drinks to try, whilst explaining some of the more obscure items and history to us. After heading back to the cooking studio, we tried the items we had got, and then proceeded to start preparing our meal. Ronal was very patient and knowledgeable and made it a joy to learn new skills. We made pisco sours while waiting on cooking and once done, ate our dish in the upstairs eating area, which was delicious! The studio was super clean and lovely and hygiene standards were high for delicate non Peruvian bellies! We were only a small group of 4 which made it feel more personal. I'd highly recommend this class if you have a morning or afternoon free, it was a fantastic way to spend an afternoon in Cusco!

Incredibly fun, informative and delicious - highly recommended!
My boyfriend and I are amateur cooks and had the best time at Yohon's class! Yohon is incredibly knowledgable and takes time to explain everything in detail from the different foods at the market to each step of the cooking. He makes this an informative and fun experience. The food is absolutely delicious - certainly the best ceviche we have ever had and it is a great way to meet new people. Would highly recommend to anyone!

      Pisco Masterclass was amazing
A friend and I joined Ronal for a Pisco Masterclass at his shop in Cusco’s Central Historico between the San Francisco church and the Choco Museo. I had wanted to try Pisco but wasn’t impressed by some offerings of USD $30 for a couple of Pisco shots and not much education at some hotels... Thankfully I was just wandering by Ronal’s shop and saw his Pisco sign amongst his Peruvian cooking class options. The shop has been open less than two months so it’s not well known yet. Ronal was generous in his sharing of everything Pisco including production, mixing, types, flavors, and different brand labels. My friend and I were supposed to sample 4 Pisco and Ronal’s special recipe of Pisco Sour but we outstayed our welcome trying several more Piscos. We spent about two hours with Ronal and learned a lot about which Pisco I like. I’ve since visited the head office of Tacama in Lima and bought several bottles direct. The experience was very educational and value for money cannot be beat. We paid Sol 50 each for the entire Masterclass and we enjoyed his Pisco Sour so much we’d pay that again just to have his drink. Ronal used only fresh ingredients like eggs collected that day and fresh, sweet lime direct from San Pedro Market. If you’d like to try Pisco then WhatsApp or Facebook Ronal to attend an evening class.

It was ok overall, but not worth the price. The market tour was nice, but I was expecting a much bigger place to cook and eat, it was really tiny and the kitchen was well... just a regular kitchen, it was hard to move around and even though the place looked nice, it was really really small, I wouldn't recommend it for anyone that is 6 ft or taller, I felt like I was gonna hit something all the time. I guess if you are small you can be fine. Besides that the chef Ronald was nice and the food was good.

I'm not going to bother to respond to people who never took our services and clearly belong to the interests of companies that offer the same experience for a much higher price. I really feel very disappointed that there are people like you.

Wow this was awsome. So much fun, as I'm a world class chef in my kitchen back in Yorkshire learnt so much and really enjoyed the banter with Ronal and the tour round the market. Disappointing to see the last review from some American doosh who clearly had no culture and the area was small.... well for a normal person of normal stature this was fine clearly this guy didn't sit down!

Fantastic location very clean kitchen and his mum is right funny! They have some awsome banter. Highly recommend this tour and the pisco sours we made were great especially when I sneaked in a couple of extra shots!!!

Defo come and see you guys again next time were back!

This is a truly excellent food tour and cooking class. Ronal is an amazing, friendly and patient host who really took the time to explain the history behind all the ingredients used. The walk through the market was very informative and Ronal told an enthusiastic tale about everything we were seeing. The cooking itself was even better, very well organized and suitable for all levels. Fortunately, the food we cooked was really yummy as well! We left his cooking studio with the biggest smile on our faces. We cannot recommend this tour enough and it should be a must-do for anyone visiting Cusco who is even remotely interested in good food and good company.

Fantastic! Starting with the market tour, tasting local fruits and cheeses and then learning to prepare pisco sour and cooking 3 delicious dishes step by step, to enoying the delicious dinner! Ronal is a very knowledgeable and patient teacher! Would highly recommend this experience to anyone who would like to get an insight into Peruvian cuisine and culture.

Ronald was absolutely amazing! The trip to the market was not only informative but really allowed us to take a dive into the life of those who reside in Cusco. It was personal and any questions we had he thoroughly answered.

Upon our return, we tried different tropical fruits, made Pisco and then our meal. There were four of us which made it personal and he was super explicit and motivating! I particularly loved when he would say, “continue-continue” as we’d be chopping certain vegetables. Everything just magically came together!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Super close to the center, immaculate, delicious, cultural/history lesson…. Couldn’t ask for more!!! 10/10

    Bravo Chef Ronald!!!

One of the best experiences we had during our time in Cusco!
Not just a cooking class, it’s an experience! It’s cute, authentic, family-owned, with the sweetest chef you’ll ever meet who is pursuing his passion through this business and gives you a very real and local experience.
We ended up in a really small group which gave us an opportunity to experience it first hand and speak with Ronal for most of the time, not only about food but about local life, traditions as well without the scripted stiffness of a tourist trap.
The whole evening opens a window into the local life through cuisine but also into the hearts of the brilliant people who guide you through it.

P.S. the cooking is great too, you get to work with actual fire ;)

We absolutely loved all aspects of the cooking class. It was great to tour the market with Ronal and hear about all of the different foods that we wouldn’t have understood otherwise. We learnt so much during the class and will definitely make the food at home for friends and family! The day was more than just food and taught us about all aspects of Peruvian life. The ceviche we made was delicious and Ronal is very highly skilled.

Ronal was an amazing guide/chef. I enjoyed our visit to the San Pedro Market and learning about local food, fruit and flavors. Ronal took his time explaining local customs and cuisine. Then we went back and sampled exotic and delicious Peruvian fruit and cheese. Next, we were taught how to make Pisco Sour, and 3 Peruvian dishes. Thank you for this wonder experience, Ronal.

10/10 would recommend! Ronal was absolutely incredible. We started our tour buying groceries in different markets within Cusco. We learned a lot about the people and culture, including different uses of food, through this portion of the tour. Then, we made tasty food dishes with his help, including the best Pisco Sour I'd had all week, and the best Lomo Soltado I'd had all week (better than the restaurants as well). Would definitely do this again!

Ronald was excellent! He really has a passion for sharing his knowledge and skills. It was a great learning experience and delicious! It was a highlight of our Cusco visit. I would recommend doing this early in your trip so you can learn about all the foods in the market - what to eat and what to stay away from.
