About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Starviagera0 contributionsSaw all the far places I wanted to seeThe tour stops at several places, and you had the option to pay the entrance fee or stay outside or in the bus. I thought it covered all I wanted to see. They had a one hour stop in a restaurant that was not on the itinerary, but we sat by the kitchen and had fun seeing all the strange and humongous plates go by. At the molino were options for ATV and pony rides. The tour guide got no tips except for us. Come on people, these guys make very little and count on tips.Written 10 January 2025
- CasaMare160 contributionsWalking tour well worth the walk!Excellent walking tour of Arequipa with Ronald. He provided interesting history on the city and Peru. We visited some interesting sites in the city. A great introduction to this wonderful city.Written 23 April 2024
- Linda307730 contributionsA bit disappointingThe walk to the waterfall is beautiful and not too strenuous. However, it took about an hour of driving in heavy traffic through industrial areas to reach Sogay. The countryside is not at all bucolic. But it was good to get out of the city, and we had a nice stop in Quequena.Written 22 June 2022
- pavellO700 contributionsBeautiful monasterySanta Catalina monastery is a beautiful place in Arequipa! Although the price is quite expensive... Definitely worth it! We recommend to take the guided tour.Written 28 November 2021
- shppo0 contributionsInformative!Whilst the idea of visiting a volcanic quarry might not be top of many people’s bucket list we found the trip entertaining and informative. Our guides met us at our hotel in a car and took us to Cayma, one of the districts of Arequipa to see how the Sillar Stone was commonly used. A very peaceful, and typical district Square. Then after a quick stop overlooking a panorama featuring all three of Arequipa’s volcanoes we headed to the first quarry. Its a literal, working quarry, although it feels very much like it is trying to pivot to tourism, with some decorative sculptures appearing. We had a demonstration of stone cutting, including the chance to split the huge chucks of rock ourselves. It really showed how hard the work is. Next to another note un-used quarry which features a ravine walk along a dried out river bed. We saw unusual-rock formations and historic rock carvings. Then we were dropped back at our hotel. Overall there was a good mix of things to see and do. Whilst my wife was bored by rock cutting, she loved walking the dried river bed, so i would say a good mix for couples! The guides were knowledgable, fluent in english, charming, and attentive to our questions and observations. A great few hours well spent. Highly recommended!Written 14 November 2019
- Corman70 contributionsWell worth it!Adrian was an amazing teacher, halarious and very knowledgeable about his craft. The class was very hands on, very informative (really, more about chocolate then you think) and a whole lot of fun. Sign up and smell, taste and make your own chocolate, well worth the 70/s you pay at the restaurant.Written 13 June 2019
- adrian n0 contributionsEl Condor pasaYou know, the canyon is fantastic. We leave early in the morning ( 2h30) and we have a super sunny day. Everything was almost perfect. What we didn't like was the time we had to spend at Canyon ( 30 min) because our guide wants to have enough time for the ''HOT SPRINGS''. I didn't agree with him but he was THE BOSS. You need at least one hour - one and a half hour to see this beautiful place. Anyway, we were lucky. The condor was the main attraction I fully recommend Colca Canyon.Written 7 June 2019
- Gerry C0 contributionsSpectacular day tripWe hired private guide Oscar Apaza Castro to take us to Capua Waterfall. We had a great time hiking upstream to the falls, meeting locals and a few other tourist, and enjoying the wonderful scenery along the way. Our reward for our effort was a beautiful rainbow above the falls. On our way back to Arequipa, Oscar took us to see the Sillar Route, another interesting attraction in Arequipa. The two sites made for a perfect day trip, and Oscar was a great guide. You can find him on Facebook.Written 13 April 2019
