Gris Showed us the BEST of Cusco/Peru
This trip was incredible from start to finish, and we would not have been able to have the experience we did without Exploor/Gris. We did a Thursday-Tuesday and fit in Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu/Huayna Picchu, Rainbow Mountain, Lake Humantay, Peruvian cooking class, Mountain View Experience, Inka Terra, and Rumi Punku. We had Gris as our guide, and a variety of drivers safely escort and tour us through all of these places. There is no way we would have been able to fit in everything if it were not for them. Gris and her drivers were kind, prompt, thorough, and so so knowledgeable. I cannot speak enough good things about her. I am a travel agent myself and was blown away by Exploor and it's employees. I would recommend them to anyone looking to go to Peru.

JR you are the best man!
To start the instant communication on WhatsApp was a huge help settling in and working out the itinerary! Nathgy and my guide Junior were always so helpful, and prompt in response. Now the tours oh my I didn’t know what I was in for! Clean cars, and the sites were amazing! Got all my steps in! Junior was a plethora of knowledge in all things, and super supportive of my questions. Nothing was too much trouble. I have something planted in me from this experience, and I have no doubt I’ll back with the Exploor crew in future, for a 5 day trek experience !💯

          The best Peru experience
I don’t know where to start. Everything about this trip was amazing. Local tour guides who knew the area, shared their knowledge, made us feel welcome is all the places we went… the food was so delicious, the tours we took were breathtaking. I can’t begin to give enough praise to this company for giving my son and I the trip of a lifetime. I told them where I wanted to go and they did the rest. It was the easiest trip and excursion. We both want to come back to Peru to experience more of this beautiful country.

Amazing experience with Exploor touring in Peru
We decided this 10-day trip late January and Exploor came up with a great plan satisfying all our needs and interests. Everything from airport/hotel transfers, all stays at hotels and villas, all tours and food were exceptional. We had the best guides for all tours, they were extremely knowledgeable of the Peruvian culture and history. Peru is a beautiful country to visit with rich culture, great charming people and amazing food to enjoy. Thank you Exploor, you made this trip one of our best.

          Awesome experience
I can highly recommend exploor! We booked 5 days in Cusco and 3 days in the Amazon with them. From the beginning the communication was great. We told exploor what we wanna see and they send us an itinerary which was fully modifiable. Every day during the trip we got a text about the next day. After arriving in Cusco we had time to relax and only did a city sightseeing tour the next day. The tour was awesome! We also really enjoyed our trips to the Sacred valley, Machu Picchu and Humantay lake. Unfortunately it was snowing when we arrived at Palccoyo Rainbow mountains so we spontaneously did something different (sightseeing and different photo stops). Our tourguide Carlos was awesome. He was knowledgeable, funny, patient and his English was great! Everything went well and smooth thanks to Carlos and the exploor organisation team. We just came back from our Amazon lodge (Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica) and it was beautiful. If you are thinking of booking tours in Peru choose exploor!

Junior was the perfect tour guide and friend to us!
Junior gave us a perfect tour! Could not have been any better! He was on time and I know it was super early for everyone and he showed up with a happy and welcoming attitude! Front the moment we met, I felt at ease. He let us know he was going to take care of my husband and I. My husband had been really sick with the altitude and Junior had oxygen for him. He was also very kind, compassionate, and never rushed my husband. We spent hours at the mountain just talking about random things about Peru and I could feel the love Junior had for his country and people. My only mistake was not letting Junior take me on every tour while in Peru.

          Great experience!!!
We had a blast. Can’t tell you how appreciative we were to our guide tour, Junior. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. He carried our bags when we hiked the rainbow mountain as we cannot breath well at that high altitude. This tour was very organized. Ask for Junior as your tour guide. You won’t be disappointed.

          Highly Recommended!
Karina & German were wonderful hosts! Arriving early was 100% worth it as we had the mountain to ourselves for a while. We got a delicious breakfast and lunch, were able to walk alpacas, and Kary took some lovely pictures of us. She was very patient with us as we were struggling with the altitude a bit. Definitely recommend this tour.

          Xmas in Perú
Where do we begin? What an amazing trip, Explore are an amazing company, infact it’s hard to call them a company. They are more like a guided community and network of local experts. Great tours to Macchu Picchu, Huacachina Oasis, airport pick ups, advice for altitude sickness. Everything. Amazing! Thank you for your attention to detail and care. Thank you for still considering the local community. Thank you.

          A company that cares.
Could not be happier w Exploor. My gf and I were skeptical hearing about fake companies that scam you for your money but exploor took all of the stress away. Was able to customize our trip to maximize the little time we had in Peru. They picked us up and dropped us off at the airport and made sure we had rides along the way. Even when we got to Peru they were responsive on whatsapp and helped us w any questions we had. Their tour guides were very informative and taught us alot about the culture. They even went above and beyond to help me propose💍! I'd choose exploor if you are looking for a little bit more out of tour guide company and their prices are pretty reasonable considering all the perks you get. From what we found the were only a couple hundred dollars more for way more customization.

This was one of the best tour we had in Peru! Gris, our guide, was super knowledgeable, funny and well organised.

We started the day by getting pick-up at our hotel in time at 6:45AM. We then visited, in order, Pisac, Salineras de Maras, Moray and Ollataytambo ruins, always with calm and time to take pictures while learning new things. We also had a delicious buffet and did an extra stop in a Chicha factory to try the Inca alcohol.

We asked to get dropped off at Ollataytambo to catch the train to Machu Picchu the next day and they left us at the station on time without problem. We were in total 6 people, in a big and very comfy minivan.

Sincerely, this tour was awesome, specially for the price! Thanks again Gris for everything!

PS: We also forgot a trouser in the van and the driver brought it back to our hotel the next day, to show how much they care :)

The private tour was lovely, we learned so much and took so many photos, our guide was so helpful. :-) It was definitely worth the money, we had all the comforts while riding around and the tour guide and driver were flexible and accommodating to our tempo (we like to do things at a more leisurely pace than some, stop for coffee and spend more time at certain places rather than see every place there is). They will put all of their efforts into making it the kind of experience you want, tailor-made to your wishes. And the food was excellent and plentiful! Thanks so much for the great experience!!!

The whole trip was really well organized. We were contacted on WhatsApp the day prior about our pickup and itinerary where we also got connected with our guide Gris.

Having just finished visiting Machu Picchu, this tour was a great way to expand our understanding on the Inca Empire through visiting the historical sites of Moray and Ollantaytambo.

In addition, we also got to experience the local way of living by tasting the corn beer, seeing the salt mine of Maras (which was very photogenic!) as well as learning the traditional alpaca weaving techniques - I wouldn’t recommend shopping there TBH and I think this is probably the only low light of the tour. After the presentation they’d guilt-trip you into buying stuff which was way overpriced - e.g, $200 for a mediocre table runner, $70 for a beanie. Of course they can’t force you into anything. In the end we just left a big tip.

Our guide Gris was sweet, knowledgeable, and passionate about her culture. We really enjoyed our time together. She took a lot of good photos of us and the lunch place she took us to served delicious food.

Overall I would highly recommend this tour in conjunction with the Machu Picchu visit!

Today in Covid Time. I personally think is the best time to travel cause there are fewer tourists, Short lines in every event Literally private Tours, and the best attention as tourists. My sister and I visited Cusco Peru for the 1st Time and We had a Fascinating Vacation. Visiting the Sacred Valley Was one of Our Best Decision.
Cusco Peru has lots of Stunning Ancient History. We saw almost everywhere to our right and left in Cusco Archaeological sites , Magnificent Architecture done in stone by the Ancients. My Sister and I also enjoyed the Alpacas and LLamas. In Chincheros we laughed a lot while the Girl who was narrating how and what it needs to be done to get the Vibrant Colors they use on Textiles.
The Girl explained us The difference between a baby alpaca and an old alpaca and also she made some jokes. I think It’s amazing how Maras Mines of Salt every pit of salt is 11.80 in. deep all of them in polygonal shape.

At first we weren't sure whether the itinerary would be too packed but in the end it was the best decision to take this tour visiting Pisac, Moray, Maras & Ollantaytambo. We were part of a small group tour with 4 others (6 in total) and our guide was superb!! She knew so much about the places visited and she was super sweet to all of us! One person felt sick on the way and she took great care, really excellent job. We liked the Ollantaytambo ruins the most, the story was just fascinating! Lunch was very good as well but as there were so many options we ended up eating too much lol. All the best to you guys!

The landscape is breathtaking. Although the last part of the road is a very bumpy ride due to the remote ubication in the mountains, our driver Hirwin did a very good job, driving as smooth as possible. Thank you!
Thanks to the early start of our trip, we and our guide Karina were the only people on the mountain. This made our experience very special since it felt nothing touristic and we enjoyed the view and the silence of the mountains.
I recommend to acclimatize at least for 2-3 days in advance if you are new to high altitudes. Although the Palccoyo mountains are less high than Vinicunca they are still over 4500 m high. In any case our guide Karina had oxygen with her, if needed , and we did many stops on our way to the viewpoints, all adapted to our needs.

We took the ulitmate sacred valley tour with exploor on 28th November and there are no regrets but praises. It's a perfect way to witness the culture and landscapes of sacred valley in a day. Our tour guide - Gris and her apprentice Hirwin were very well versed and told us many details about Incan history. We visited Chinchero (to witness how the alpaca clothings are manufactured manually), Moray (to witness the ancient agrictultural experimentation site), Maras (to witness 3700 salt pools) and Ollantaytumba (to witness the ancient city). Gris went beyond the tour itinerary and told us many things about Incan culture which helped us gaining more knowledge. The lunch site was perfect - a colonial hotel, Tunupa which offers live muzic, river in the backyard with llama and alpacas and buffet with lot of options (us being a vegetarian). Gris and Hirwin also helped us in getting the train tickets from Ollantaytumba to Machu Picchu. Thanks for the great tour exploor guys!

We were picked up promptly in a nice van (which we had to ourselves), and our guide Luis put us at ease immediately and made sure we had everything we needed before we left our hotel for the day. While doing everything, from seeing how baby alpaca garments were made and exploring the stunning Moray terraces to walking around the engineering marvels of Ollantaytambo and Salineras de Maras, Luis was very patient with us low-landers (given the high altitude) and very knowledgeable about every subject (including history, birds, and photography) even not directly related to the places and things we saw, which added extra value to the trip. He had a great attitude throughout, and even if we hadn't been enjoying the trip and the things we were seeing (which we very much were), we would have been able to get through it with his infectious good attitude. Luis also gave us some great restaurant recommendations for dinner when we returned to Cusco, which we enjoyed and ended up going to several nights during the rest of our stay in Cusco. We hope to be back in Cusco and the Sacred Valley with Luis and exploor in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone visiting the Cusco area.

This was an amazing tour with Vidal and Kenedy. The tour was very informative and our guide Vidal was very enthusiastic and provided us with a lot of interesting information along the way. The extra care was also appreciated, such as reminding us to apply sunscreen 15 minutes before we arrived at a stop.

The first stop was a community cooperative for a demonstration of traditonal alpaca fibre weaving, followed by the opportunity to shop. I generally don’t like shopping on tours, but there wasn’t any pressure to buy anything and the shop has good quality garments at better prices than Cusco! So browsing the shop is definitely worth it. Additionally, one has the opportunity to feed the alpacas and llamas they have there, which presents some good photo opportunities.

What also adds to the great the experience with this tour is the small group size, so less time waiting for people like one experiences on tours with bigger group sizes.

We had the most amazing tour through Sacred Valley with our guide Carlos and driver Hirwin. Carlos was so knowledgeable and did not rush us at each site. He took the time to not only explain the history but also nature and the surroundings. He was very thorough and answered all our questions.

Hirwin took the time to tidy the car between stops and played some awesome tunes to keep us entertained.

We would highly recommend Exploor Peru. It’s been one of the best tours we did in Peru so far!
