Rainbow Mountain Full day trip
USD 47.50
Overview
Nestled high in the Peruvian Andes, Rainbow Mountain—or Mt. Vinicunca—attracts visitors keen to admire its vibrant mineral-rich colorations, but reaching the remote peak by public transport is a challenge. On this full-day tour, spin through Quessiuno to Rainbow Mountain with round-trip travel from central Cusco included, and tackle the mountainous sandstone terrain with your guide. Enjoy panoramic views over the Andean landscapes, with breakfast and lunch included.
What to Expect
Your day will start at 3:40am departing from your Cusco hotels to Quessiuno. Enjoy a breakfast at Quessiuno.
After breakfast, continue your journey uphill for 3 hours where you'll enjoy landscapes full of flora and fauna.
It'll take between 3 to 4 hours average to arrive to the Rainbow Mountain. There will be adequate time to capture this magical place in photos, memories, and enjoy a breathtaking view of the mountain and the sacred snow-capped Ausangate.

After enjoying time at the Rainbow Mountain, start making your way downhill to Quessiuno for lunch. Following this leisurely and well-deserved lunch, return to the city of Cusco. 7pm is our approximate arrive time in Cusco's Regocijo Square, which is one block away from the main square.

Tough trek but the views make it instantly worth your while!

The altitude of this trek really is a challenge but the scenery on the top really makes it all worth while. The area has a tendency to fill up with tourists pretty quickly on a daily basis so make sure to leave as early as...More
