          Great trip to Rainbow mountain!
We had a great experience on our tour! Anibal and our driver were very accommodating. We left at 4am and returned around 3pm. This was perfect as we had to catch a flight at 9pm out of Cusco. We would definitely recommend Anibal and the private tour if you want to go at your own pace, fast or slow! We chose to ride up the mountain on a dirt bike and walk down. The roads are narrow near rainbow mountain. Our driver was confident and was concentrated on the road. We never felt unsafe. Our driver was also very polite and always opened our door. Breakfast, lunch, snack were included. All delicious. Thanks Anibal!

Hey I am just curious if I should be worried to send this company pictures of my passport. I booked with them and they want me to send a passport pic- is this safe?

Pick Alpaca for Rainbow Mtn and Red Valley
Yvan and Romariso were fantastic. From pick up on time to a chef made breakfast and lunch at a property they rent, before and after the climb- with flushed toilets. Their service was impeccable every step of the way. And DONT miss the Red Valley it is almost as spectacular as Rainbow Mtn. You pay a bit more for Alpaca but it’s so so worth it. Thanks.

          Really bad tour
it was a terrible tour and terrible guide. we woke up at 4 AM to be picked up at five but they picked us at 5:40 but we returned on time, so you can imagine we didn't have any time after 2 hours hike to see the red mountain. this was crazy and waste of money. I would definitely not recommend this company. And the guides English was not really good.

          Excellent guide and great day
A great experience and thought the guide - Roger - was excellent! Enjoyed the day. The hike was tough for some with the high altitude, but there are horses available to get you up most of the way if needed. Breakfast and lunch was included which was good after a 4am pickup time!

Private tour highly recommended traveling with young kids under 5yo
If you planning to visit Rainbow mountain especially with kids under 10 years old, private tour is the way to go. This company took care of us. Started at 03:30 took us in a comfortable van with warm blankets on a 3 hour ride, had breakfast eggs, sausages western style mixed peruvian. Our tour guide made assured that had everything with them o2 tank, snacks, water.. Brought another guy just incase needed help with kids.. Thanks, everyone was okay tolerated the high altitude. I've seen some hikers throwing up along the way, altitude was intense. If you've plans, make sure had enough time to acclimate, atleast 3-4 days in Cusco altitude sickness, no joke.. Drink  a lot of water, bring gatorade powder, and bring meds such NSAIDs very helpful.. Horses are also available if needed one way or roundtrip.

Great trip with Anibal made fun conversation and kept us safe and made sure we were always comfortable. Compared to other guides his English was nigh perfect - had air conditioning, stops to catch our breath and good jokes too. Highly recommend

A Colorful and Unique Hike to Rainbow Mount and the Red Valley
The hike to Rainbow Mountain and the Red Valley was breath-taking (visually and physically). The trailhead starts at around 4,300 meters (14,000 feet) and climbs to just over 5,000 meters (16,400 feet). The hike is approximately 4 K (2.5 miles) with the last 1/4 being the steepest part. Most take 2 hours, but no pressure in speed with lots of stops that have snacks/drinks/tourist stuff to buy along the way. Some in our group stopped at the Rainbow Mountain view point (saddle) and some hiked another 45 minutes up to view the Red Valley. There were 100s of people at the Rainbow Mountain saddle, but we seemed to the only ones to hike onto the Red Valley (a peaceful and beautiful view well worth the additional hike). Alpaca Expedition guide (Ruben) and his assistant, driver, and chef for breakfast and lunch were outstanding, friendly, and very knowledgeable. We left Cusco about 4:30 am and returned to our hotel in Cusco around 5;30 pm

          Breathtaking Rainbow Mountain
We decided that Salkantay Trail wasn’t enough so we added this breathtaking trip to Rainbow Mountain. It definitely needs to be on the backend of any trip to get acclimated to the elevation but it was worth every extra step and out of breath moment. Horses can be rented to help with the climb. Ruben was energetic and kept us motivated. You can opt to hike another hour (there and back) to Red Valley. We had a wonderful breakfast as well as lunch. These chefs from Alpaca Expeditions are amazing.

          Superb day tour!
This was a wonderful tour, Holger was extremely knowledgeable and I learned so much! He went above and beyond to make sure I was able to see everything I wanted and take plenty of stops for pictures or just to take the amazing sites in. I was able to book the the tour last minute and they were more than accommodating with my schedule, I even reached out to Holger on WhatsApp before booking to ask a million questions and he was so helpful. The transportation was clean, safe, and comfortable! I plan on coming back to Cusco and I will most certainly call Holger for every tour. I highly recommend Andina Expeditions for your tours!

This tour was magnificent. Spite the locals having a dispute over finances we were able to still get to rainbow Mountain by traveling the more scenic route. Which was absolutely beautiful Victor, the driver and Alfredo our tour guide, were both on time, professional, and very concerned with our safety during the entire trip. I highly recommend, this company this trip in those two men will accompany all five of us on this trip. Shopping is on site by the locals as well as food like corn and fried alpaca.

Highlight of our trip and it didn’t disappoint. Early start is recommended. We got picked up at 4am. Breakfast and lunch was included. The trek is hard work but well worth it when you get to the top and see the mountain. Highly recommended.

The hike was extremely difficult (not for the unfit). The view was however amazing. Wish we would of known how cold it was as they told us to bring rain jackets (you will also need mitts and a hat, there’s snow all around you). Also, you have to pay to go to the bathroom. The reason we are eating 3 stars is that it includes breakfast and lunch. However breakfast is at 7 and you don’t eat again until 3pm. No snacks nothing, and after such a difficult hike, we did not feel well. The drive there is also a little scary but it is a newer road. Lots of time spent in the vehicle
