- P4222KKcarlosn0 contributionsGreat Experience!Pame R. was such a good guide, im from Ecuador and it was my girlfriend’s first time visiting Quito. Tour guides are bilingual, and make everyone feel good. The food was is outstanding and the stops along the way made the whole day very informative. Had great weather and the Quilatoa was so cool, definetly worth going all the way down, but the way up is a challenge!Written 18 March 2025
- kayandpaulw0 contributionsSpectacular Cotopaxi TourWe had a fantastic Cotopaxi tour with Irene and Jimmy today! Irene shares so much valuable information and history about the volcano’s and the culture of Ecuador. Her bubbly personality makes the trip very enjoyable. Jimmy was a great driver!Written 18 March 2025
- EscobarJrS0 contributionsWell organized tour, loved it!What an amazing tour this was to Baños. Some key points starts with our wonderful tour guide , Dani who did great on explaining everything from beginning to end. The fruit tasting surprise at the end it was great. It really felt like a small family when we was at the “La Casa del Àrbol” as we all took turns on the swings and filmed, took pictures of each other that even Dani our tour guide joined in the fun. We shared a lot of memories the entire day from “El Pailon del Diablo” even to the very end at lunch. I highly recommend doing this tour and if you get lucky with Dani, best believe you will feel the same way I did. Thanks a million Dani and to the rest of the people on my tour, you made the trip wonderful.Written 18 March 2025

- C5753MSbrendah0 contributionsAmazing Experience with Our Tour Guide Adrian in Baños!We were lucky to have Adrian as our guide and Ivan as our bus driver, during our visit to Baños, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the start, both were professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the area. They took us to breathtaking places like Pailón del Diablo waterfall, La Casa del Árbol, and the cable car explaining the history and interesting facts about each spot.Written 17 March 2025
- Nancy W0 contributionsCheerful and positive.Dani bent over backwards to give us a enjoyable experience. She brought many local fruits at lunch for us to learn about experience. She encouraged interaction with the other passengers and checked on our safe arrival. I would however recommend the adventure activies be planned before lunch.Written 17 March 2025

- annax4160 contributionsRecommendI went on this tour a few days ago and i had a lot of fun. I definetly recommend it! We saw lots of pretty birds and the waterfall and the way to the waterfall are so beautiful! The highlight of the tour though was our tourguide Irene. She was a well of knowledge and very enthousiastic. She told us so many stories on the way and showed us many things. It definetly wouldve been less fun without her!Written 14 March 2025

- Christopher R0 contributionsAmazing Experience! Start-Finish!!This was such a great experience! From the start there was very good (WhatsApp) communication. Then when we got started a little Ecuadorian ball of energy with the name of Irene got everyone attention and gave us so much good historical information about every detail .. I highly recommend looking for any tours with Irene!! Also, Jimmy the bus driver was very safe and super efficient with his driving. Look for jimmy and Irene! Super star team! It’s impossible not to have a great experience with them!Written 12 March 2025

I had an incredible time on the Middle of the World half-day tour, and I can’t recommend it enough! We actually did this as a private tour and requested an additional stop at Casa Agave for a spirits tour, which was an amazing addition to the experience. The company is so flexible and accommodating—if you book a private tour, they’re more than happy to adjust the itinerary to meet your group’s needs and desires!
Our guide Diana was knowledgeable and engaging, sharing fascinating details about the Middle of the World site and Ecuador’s rich history. She is also incredible with her photography and video skills, which ensures you have tons of great memories to take with you!
What I loved most was how well-organized everything was, from pick-up to drop-off. We did a private tour with a HUGE group (~30+ people) and they coordinated it so well with us, and made it seamless. It also helped to reduce the per person cost, which was great! Quito Tour Bus helped us create tours specifically for the guests of our wedding, as they were so helpful every step of the way.
The tour moved at a nice pace, allowing us to take in the highlights while never feeling rushed. The entrance to the museum was included, and I was amazed by the exhibits and interactive displays that made learning about the equator so engaging.
This half-day tour is a must-do if you’re in Quito! It’s the perfect way to experience one of Ecuador’s most iconic landmarks. Highly recommend! And I’d suggest the private option, and don’t be afraid to ask about other things you hope to see/experience while going through the booking process!

Our excellent guide was Erika and Marcelino our driver. Most of the group was from South America and spoke Spanish but Erika spoke excellent English and used the drive up (45 min approx with traffic) to teach us a lot about the history and culture of the area. She provided sunscreen as well for those that needed it which was very thoughtful. The Mitad Monument stamps your passport for free and has several very small floors of exhibits. Erika guided us through a few ancestral homes and taught us a lot about the history and culture of various areas of Ecuador. Very enjoyable. We were given an hour of free time after the site tour to explore the monument and many shops. I had excellent hot chocolate at the onsite Raqeri Cacao. I had read ahead of time on the history of the equator and was looking forward to seeing both the Mitad Monument on the spot determined in the mid-18th century as well as the later determined "real" equator (GPS) a short distance away. The Intinan Museum and other equatorial activities are at that location. The website says the tour includes " Museum, Middle of the World Tourist Complex, Experiences on the equinoctial line". But unfortunately, it was not the Intinan museum or the actual equator. A few other group members were also looking for this and were surprised as I that it was not part of the tour. But Erika and Marcelina graciously organized a slow drive away from the site instructing us to open our compasses on our phones for the GPS to track the exact equator location. My only suggestion for improvement would be to possibly revamp the tour to include the other site (museum, activities) and "real" Latitude 0. I would have happily given up my free time at the monument site for this. However, others might prefer browsing the craft shops and snacking :) Note that the activity graphic above is no longer the exact tour offered on their website. The Pululahua Crater was not part of the tour. See the Quito Tour Bus website for up to date info.

The advice and explanations of the guide were interesting; you learn interesting facts about the city even for residents.
The views from the bus to the different places are wonderful. And museum activities allow you to know the history of the city and our country

July 2021
Did several half day/full day trips with Quito Tour Bus in July of 2021. Two of us did the half day bus tour around Quito (saw many of the highlights of Quito, had a 30 minute stop at a park with a beautiful view of the city). Lasted about 3 hours, guide was excellent (and spoke english and spanish). Afterwards, we transferred to a private car and did the half day Mitad del Mundo tour which included a side visit to an active volcano. Monument entrance fees included, had some free time to explore the monument grounds, spent about 1-2 hours there (which was more than enough time). Not very crowded given the pandemic. The next day we did a day long tour to Otavalo-got picked up at our hotel in a small bus with about 5 others. Excellent experiences including breakfast, cultural tours of Otavalo and free time at the Otavalo market. Also did a brief hike to a waterfall which was beautiful. Communication between the logistics team was excellent throughout the stay and we definitely enjoyed how seamless of a process it was to travel and do several tours with them during the pandemic! Highly recommend!

Expect an hour bus ride through traffic, a line for the elevator, which you can skip by taking the stairs up, and a so-so series of displays in the monument itself. Hope for guide Andréa—personable and informed, had her for morning city tour. Unfortunately I had a different guide—his English was almost incomprehensible, he was disorganized, and when I understood his commentary it was often drivel. Still I guess there is a thrill, standing on the equator, even if it is 5 miles away.

Had a wonderful day with our tour guide Jackie. She was very informative, positive and accommodating. The first stop at the reserve before the equator monument was a pleasant surprise. Weather permitting, you’ll get some amazing pictures. The equator monument was a bit touristy but is a must go when in Quito. Don’t forget to bring your passports to get stamped there. There is plenty of time to take pics, walk around, eat lunch and shop here. The agave house was very fun and special. You could tell the hosts put their heart and soul into informing visitors about this plant. The bus was comfortable and the top can come off if weather permits. We got picked up at around 11:30am and got dropped off at around 6pm. Overall, a wonderful experience and awesome value for the price. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time in this tour. We went to visit the Pululahua first, we go to the viewpoint which allows us to see how incredible is a town built up in a volcano crater. Then we visited, the Mitad del Mundo where we had multiple activities such as visiting the ancestral housing of the different regions in Ecuador, the Cocoa Route, and of course the monument of the Middle of the World. We could try to put up an egg on the head of a nail. It was such an interesting experience! I also want to point out how great our tour guide Diana was. She's so full of like and made all the tour very interesting. I would love to go back and do it again.

There's a cool chocolate museum there, takes about 15 minutes to check out.
At the center, there's a tower with a funky museum inside, covering indigenous cultures of South America, the equinox and solstice, the Earth's rotation, with a shop at the main floor.
The main attraction might seem underwhelming to read, but I got a kick out if the equatorial line.
Cheesy to he sure, but try standing with a foot in the northern hemisphere and another in the southern without grinning, at least a little.

We needed to cancel this tour and we made every effort to cancel it well in advance of the deadline. Hotel staff also tried to make the cancelation and like us were told there was nothing to cancel.
