Beautiful grounds, gorgeous cellars, knowledgeable guide,, and delicious wines.
Carlton was an excellent guide. The verdant spacious grounds with mature trees were pastoral and peaceful. The massive 100+ year old cellars with barrels were impressive The winery itself dates back eight generations, the longest in the world. We tasted seven wines, four in the cellar and three (Chardonnay, Cabernet Savignon, and Carmenare) seated with food pairing of bread, cheese, salami, olives and chocolate. These wines were top-notch, and available at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend this tour.

I loved this winery + tour!!!
I booked the premium experience which included a tour where you taste 4 wines as you go and then finished with a tasting of three more wines. This was by far the best wine tour I’ve ever had. I loved learning about the history of the winery and all the innovation over the years as well as about the wine making. Our guide was phenomenal. If you want to learn about wine, this tour is for you! Up charge to the premium experience and you won’t regret it.

Best vinyard visit of 8 I've done in Chile
If every guide is as good as Beatrice this place is the best I've visited in Chile. Friendly, informative and good company. A must if you are here. Better than the other vinyards

      Lovely Vineyard
The tour was very well-guided, our guide Bea did a perfect job! The weather was lovely and the wine was even better. I would recommend this tour to anyone especially for the price. Ask for Bea to be your guide because she is super nice and explained everything in great detail!

      Traditional vineyard
This was an extraordinary retrospective of how wine was made, how the vineyard grew and how a woman changed the industry in Chile. Tasting the different varieties added to the guide’s information.

Our tour guide Janis made our tour and time at the winery an amazing experience! I still can’t believe all the history we learned about the family and the making of this winery! We had a wonderful time! And the wine was wonderful, of course!!

      Save the best for last...
If you are visiting multiple wineries, I would suggest going here last. I liked the tour where we would go to different parts of the winery and would sip one wine during each stop. It was hot outside. So it was nice that the tour was shady. I originally bought a Carmenere but was persuaded to buy a blend red wine (it was $14) that they needed to sell. If you have time you can walk around the winery and see different areas of the winery.

      Very good tour, beautiful place
Very good tour (the one that costs $CL 22.000) and beautiful winery. It’s in the city of Santiago itself, around 30 minutes by car from the San Cristóbal Hill Pio Nono entrance. Very good guide, very well informed. We tried 3 different wines, 1 white, 2 red. After the tour we were able to walk next to the vineyard and chill in a very beautiful garden. My only slight complain is that the tour is quite short, 1 hour, so we were a little bit in a hurry from one place to another. I think it should be 1.5 hr. long. Overall it was great.

Wine Tour - personal & fun
This tour was wonderful! The guide (Janice) was so personable and made it so fun! We have been on a lot of winery tours, but this one had the most interesting history and little museum attached with the tour to spin a wonderful tale that we all lost track of the time! What a great way to spend an afternoon in Santiago on a layover (or just to hang out)!! Cheers! Everything was wonderful!

Bad experience. We arrived 4 minutes late, the security guard took our name and asked if we had a reservation (I said I had booked for the premium bike tour). We came across the guide who runs the bike tour and she didn't say or indicate anything at all. We saw the bicycles available, took them and went to catch up with the group. The security guards, very kind by the way, opened the gates and we caught up with the group of two couples. The guide, extremely grumpy, stopped the tour, came to talk and I said that we took the bikes available and that if necessary I would pay at that moment...she said that we should do a check-in and the team that does this is at an entrance next to back of the reception and made us return there. I said I would pay right then and there if that was the case. She didn't want to try to resolve it...we went back to reception. I went to talk to the cashier to pay and return in time to reach the people who were on the tour and she came to insist on the rule that we shouldn't take the bike, instead of having empathy and trying to resolve it...not giving us the chance to catch up the rest of the group. I told her to cancel everything and left the room…I stayed close to the bikes to ask for an Uber to go to another Viña and that same person went there 3 times to see if we were taking the bike again. Unnecessary attitude.

We took Uber and went to Viña Aquitania and it was a show of friendliness and quality of the wines. We spent there from 12pm until 3:30pm.

Don't waste your time going to Cousiño Macul…go straight to Aquitania.

The experience in the Cousino Macul vineyard was really wonderful, from the beginning we were greeted with a glass of gift wine that you can take home, we chose to buy the premium private tour, tour that gave us a more personalized experience with our Guide Beatriz who was responsible for transmitting with much emotion and passion the whole story of the Cousino family and Isidora Goyenechea, woman who impacted on the development of the city for her ingenuity. Throughout the tour we tasted different wines. At the end Beatriz in the tasting, we explain in more detail the characteristics of her wines and how to pair them. Its cavas and gardens are really beautiful worthy of photography. We recommend this visit 100%, if you travel to Santiago de Chile you should not miss.

We booked the bike tour in Spanish as we couldn't find any other option to choose from. However, there was a tour at the winery in Portuguese, on foot, and we ended up going with them. The guide Valentina was excellent, speaks very good Portuguese, and demonstrated a lot of knowledge about the history of the winery and the wines. During the tour there is a tasting of 4 wines, and for those who book the Premium tour there is a tasting with a pairing of 3 more wines. The glass cup used on the tour is a free gift (we were able to bring it on the flight as hand luggage). This tour is worth taking.

Not suitable to be sold and called Premium Tour
The guide from the beginning gives generic data and is not a specialist or technician in the tasting or production of the Wine, it was like having the salesroom seller.
the wine to be tasted, without adequate oxygenation time and under the t° for the strain offered and without droppers, so several I included my hand and glass spilled with wine.
The glass on the other hand did not correspond to the type of wine (red or dark) with many aromas and body literally needs space to breathe and show in the best way. That's why your glasses are always big.
Another point of paramount importance was that there was no clean glass for a new wine strain and you could not rinse the glass either and if we go to a tasting we know that each wine has aromas and flavors that will be totally different, the girl who gave the tour when consulted her answer was unfortunately not polite.
We were touched by a group with a minor of about 2 years old who between their baby world and the orders of their relatives to be quiet and silent, could not hear the guide, I did not find the activity suitable for a child of their age , that their world is exploration and curiosity, looked uncomfortable among the darkness of the enclosures.
To finish the tour misnamed Premium, a tasting of 3 wines accompanied by a pairing that comprised 2 supermarket salames slices, 2 olives, 3 pieces of a generic yellow cheese, and a plum. (a skewer or tooth would have improved perhaps the presentation)
the sector chosen was an enclosure with space for 10 people approx very cold without heating (although it was seen had central heating ), and the layout of the tables was directed to a white wall, without taking advantage of the side windows facing the outside, would have been more pleasant.
From this last part the clearest thing that was said (and we were only 2 couples) was the very convenient price compared to the Jumbo Supermarket, so it made me a little clearer the girl was a lively seller.
I thought we would be offered some Wine Icon or other that was not, it should be noted here if there were 3 glasses for the 3 types of wines.

Fantastic tour of over a century old winery. Premium tour included seven wines tasting, some of the reserve, which were very good. I could not have wished for a better guide than Beatriz: she was super knowledgeable (she knows much more than the information given on the tour so you know she's not just simply repeating something she learnt, she completely understands wine and knows her subject well), and her fun and energetic personality made the tour very enjoyable. I hope you get her when you visit! Price point of wine tasted is between 7,000-22,000. The Andes in the backdrop adds to the charm of the place and it is so easily accessible from downtown Santiago. You can't miss it!

It was the best wine experience we ever had! We took the bike tour overlooking the mountains, and then we met the winery stories in the underground part, we were very surprised by the history of the vineyard presented by the guide Nico (who did an excellent job telling the whole story and removing all doubts). The presentation of the wines and the tasting were amazing too, very worth it! It is a unique and striking experience

Tip: after the tour we went to lunch at Papa John's which is on the corner of the wine shop street

They gave me a giftcard to take this tour, I went with my partner and had an excellent time, exceeded all our expectations. We have no complaints. I recommend carrying a bottle of water to stay hydrated (they have water dispensers available). We took very good pictures and learned a lot.

I have loved the explanations about Cousino Macul and Isidora, the widow of The founder Who has, in fact, made what Coucino Macul is nowadays. I congratulate The guide Valentina for the passion she demonstrates on each explanation. Me and my family had a great time!

The winery sold a tour to my wife and me via trip advisor, but when we arrived at the winery for the tour, we and the other 3 people were surprised that it was closed.

Although they were very courteous in explaining that it was a system error and refunded the tour price promptly, it is important to point out that the location is far from the center of Santiago, and the price of the Uber from our hotel to the location and back to our stay, as well as doing this route again if we rebooked the tour would result in practically the price of booking for one person, making our return unfeasible.

A shame because the place is very beautiful and the wines are tasty. I always recommend contacting the organizer before going to guarantee your tour.

I did the tour with the Premium tasting. About the tour, it is very interesting, going through the old facilities and the new wine production. The pain is that it is very commercial, with a tremendous rush on the part of the guides which hindered a lot of walk. You make a stop, they fill your glass of wine and you already have to walk out because the other group is already coming behind pressuring you out. That’s not to mention the guide getting talking about wine promotion at the store in the middle of the tour. And the experience of the Premium tasting is also quite smooth, not even compared to the one I had, for example, at Concho y Toro. In the end, it is only worth visiting the facilities.
