This company COMPLETELY misrepresents what this tour actually is.
Nov. 2021
There is no picnic lunch, no wine, and no zoo. What you actually get is that you stop to buy your own food (driver didn't even tell us we had to buy our own food and everyone assumed the picnic was included), then you go to the hot springs. On the way back you stop to walk through a dark old train tunnel for 10 minutes (very lame) & stop to buy ice cream/chocolate. When I reached out to them after the tour to point out that they charged me $63 and did not deliver on several things outlined in the tour description they got mad at me for raising this & canceled the tour I had scheduled and paid for with them for the next day. It's very bad business practice to promise and charge for significant elements of a tour and to simply not deliver them. LIke buying a 5-course prix fixe dinner and all they give you is soup.

Nice tour
Mar. 2020 • Solo
It was a fun tour. I got picked up at home unless I did not stay at a selected hotel. The tour guide was funny and knowledgeable and we visited beautiful places. Also the picknick was well organised. Only drawback was that the inenary said we would visit Embalse El Yeso, but we didn't. The reason was the road was closed but that is already a year so they should have mentioned that I think

Great Scenery - Bad Tour
Jan. 2020 • Couples
I signed up for an English speaking tour and we received a bilingual tour. The posting for the English tour did not indicate that we would or could be on a bilingual tour. Most of the tour was conducted in Spanish and we felt like an after thought, being told about the scenery well after we had passed it. Also the tour was unnecessarily long. The Andian zoo stop (it was not a zoo and more like someone who had a few llamas) and the picnic were unnecessary. I would have like to have skipped those two stops and had more time in the town of San Jose (we only had 40 minutes and most of us wanted to sit down and have an authentic Chilean lunch). The only saving grace (which no one could have messed up) was the gorgeous natural scenery and the great experience of being in the hot springs. Next time, I would do a similar tour, just not with the company that provided this tour.

Excellent guide - organisation could be improved
Nov. 2019 • Couples
The guide was excellent; friendly and informative. He cared about making sure we had a great day. The listing is inaccurate however and it could be better planned to not require so much time. The listing states lunch included in addition to the picnic, but this isn’t accurate as you’re taken to somewhere that charges 10k pesos per person. You also stop at this place for breakfast, which makes it start to feel like the tour could be organised better for your time and less for the business arrangement between the caterer and the tour company. This aside the sights you see are lovely and the time you get at the hot springs is ample.

Beautiful places - but a stressful trip
As a solo traveller, it is always a risk, that you end up in a group, that you don’t fit in to, which this day was the case. The rest was from Brazil, and the were really loud.
(One nice lady and her mother was not)

Before the tour, I got an email with the pick up time - but the WhatsApp number in it didn’t work.
But I got picked up on time 6.50. Had to switch to another bus at a cosy coffee place after approximately 30 minutes drive.

I bought an ‘English tour’, but apart from the guide - and two others in the group, no one spoke English. - And therefore the guide also started all the information in Spanish.
So when he translated to me - the sights were mostly passed.

At the hot springs they were renovating the changing room, so no bath afterwards were possible. And it was very dirty inside. The view from the hot springs were amazing.

On the way back from the Dam, we stopped for the picnic. The wine served was nice - but as you can see on the photo, it was a snack with crackers, cheese and sausage.

Remember to eat a proper breakfast and bring some food. We stopped at a place, where it was possible to get empanadas and drinks. I cosy place. But not time or possibilities for a full meal.

We had a photographer with us on the tour, Moises, and for 10.000 pesos I had a lot of great photos to remember the great nature from.
I got back from the trip around 18.10.

Conclusion:

The experience as being part of a very noisy group with a guide, that cared to apologise for the inconvenience it made - but not to make them a little less loud during the tour, was stressful instead of relaxing.

And that he finished the tour with ‘please rate if you have something positive to say otherwise - and then he made the mouth zipper’ kinda irritated me, so therefore the experience gets 3 stars - was considering 2.

With another group, dedicated guide and English as the first language I’m sure, the experience is rated much higher.
