Isla Negra and Matetic Vineyard Tour from Santiago
USD 100.00
Combine two of Chile’s greatest exports, writing and wine, on this 9-hour trip featuring a visit to Isla Negra and the Matetic Vineyard. Learn about the life of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda at his former residence-turned museum in Isla Negra. Then sample some organic wines during a stop at Matetic Winery, one of Chile’s best-known winemakers.
What to Expect
Receive a morning pickup from your Santiago, Providencia, Las Condes, or Vitacura accommodations, after which you’ll head to Isla Negra.

Arrive in Isla Negra and enjoy the charming atmosphere of this bohemian area frequented by vacationing Chilean families. During your visit you’ll get an inside look at the life of one of Chile’s most famous creative thinkers, Pablo Neruda, as you explore his one-time residence that now hosts a museum.

Then continue to the wine-focused portion of your trip, stopping en route for a lunch break (own expense) at Equilibrio Restaurant in Chile’s Leyda Valley. Following your mid-day meal, you’ll continue to Matetic Winery, widely regarded as one of the country’s top winemaking operations. Get an in-depth look at the winery’s production, bottling, and storage processes, and enjoy two organic wines during an included tasting session.

At the end of your tasting excursion, you’ll receive a drop-off back at your accommodations in and around Santiago.
