Santiago Walking Tour: Food Tastings and Markets Including Lunch
USD 77.00
More than a chance to try traditional Chilean dishes like seafood empanadas and corn pies, this Santiago food tour introduces you to the city’s landmarks, history, and culture. Browse markets, check out a trendy dining location, and sample favorite Chilean foods between visiting central plazas, churches, and a panoramic city viewpoint. Plus, traveling in a small-group of 12 people or fewer means more attention from your guide and less jostling through crowds.
What to Expect
Your tour begins in the centrally located Plaza de la ConstituciĂłn. Travel like a local by foot and by metro to get to top Santiago markets and eateries, passing by city landmarks as you go.

First, pass through Plaza de Armas en route to the Central Market. Sample four typical Chilean dishes like corn pie and seafood empanadas, washed down with pisco sour.

Then, walk to the fresh produce market at La Vega Cathedral—a great chance to try seasonal fruits like custard apples and berries.

Finally, ride a cable car to the top of Cerro San Cristobal for the best views in Santiago. Take a few photos before you go down to the trendy Bellavista neighborhood for lunch at a local-approved spot.

Other sights you might pass on this Santiago food tour include Iglesia San Francisco, Teatro Municipal, Correo Central, and Metropolitan Park.

Tour concludes back where you started.

A great way to spend a day in Santiago

I really enjoyed this tour with Flo, lots to see, eat and do. You don't need breakfast, enjoyed white tea, shrimp & cheese empanadas were a surprise, great coffee, a cloudy city view and yum icecream to finish the day
