Family Staycation Tour
Apr. 2021
Because we are currently not able to travel outside of Singapore, we decided to explore Singapore through someone else's perspective. We searched for some fun experiences on AirBNB and thought that this tour looked the best. Families should know that even if you have a child, through AirBNB, you have to pay full price for your child to join the tour. After paying, I realized that they would not give me the discount that is offered for children on their own site. I do think that something could be done about that situation and this is the only reason the rating is 'very good' and not 'excellent'.

Richard was extremely kind and knowledgeable. We had a great time talking with him and experiencing some familiar and unfamiliar foods. The tour gave us a great range of foods found in Singapore and also some choices along the way. Richard also took some great pictures of us and he sent us promptly after the tour. We enjoyed his company and he was always willing to answer our questions as we ate or walked around; however, he also gave us some space during the tour to eat and talk as a family.

I would be willing to check out some other tours with Richard as our guide, but I would definitely go through the company site so that I can get the child discount.

Very well organized visit to a series of local Singaporean food. Our tour guide GS is both knowledgeable and experienced. He also come prepared with everything for a quick, clean, safe, hygienic, convenient, sampling of food from various local races in spite of the pandemic. I will not hesitate to recommend this food tour led by GS to anyone ( both local and foreign ) interested in experiencing the myriad flavours of Singaporean hawker food.

Perfectly splendid hawker food tour :-)
Dec. 2020 • Friends
A truly amazing day spent discovering all the traditional eating spots with Gee Soo, I admired his knowledge of the history behind each local eating spot we visited and also the adaptability to our dietary preferences , the tour will fill you up for two days worth of eating so be ready , Little gestures like providing water , tissues , anti bacterial wipes and cutlery made the entire food tour a breeze and we never had a point where we felt uneasy. Gee Soo was also very accommodating to the time spent taking pictures and exploring local shops , not rushing any part of the experience is what makes this tour totally worth the time and money , would definitely come back for more and take other tours too since we are truly an international bunch.

Wonderful food tour with Gene!!!
Sep. 2020
Food is a very important part of Singaporean culture and this tour is a wonderful way to get to know the local food which is very diverse. If you haven't been to Singapore before, you might be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of dishes and also by the Hawker centre culture. After this tour you will have tried many of the typical local foods. The guide will also explain what other dishes you should try.

Because of Covid 19, my husband and I were the only ones on this tour.
We went on a food tour with Gene. We met at 9am for a traditional Singaporean breakfast and curry puffs. We walked through the neighborhood he grew up in and tried all kinds of food while listening to Gene telling stories about the history and culture. We went to a hawker centre, to Arab street and all the way to Little India. The tour was about 5,5 hours so we got to eat A LOT of food!! I recommend you do not eat any breakfast before the tour.

Gene was a great tour guide! He told us interesting stories - also about his family. He took a bunch of really nice pictures and sent them to us right after the tour. You could tell that he loves his job and he has a passion for good food!

Overall I think this tour will give you a very nice overview of the culture in Singapore with a special focus on the local food.

One of the best food tours we have ever had
Su Ling gave us the most wonderful and insightful tour from 9am to 3pm during which we were able to learn about Singapore thru the foods that make the Lion City so special. Starting with a typical breakfast of local coffee/kopi and curry puffs, we began the day with real locals in a very special shop. We then visited several different neighborhoods and experienced how their cultures contribute to the overall flavor of Singapore. Su Ling was such an enjoyable guide because of her knowledge and enthusiasm to share her remarkable city. The hours passed so quickly because there was so much to enjoy but make sure you do not eat before the tour. This is definitely a tour of substantial offerings. You will be more than satisfied and greatly rewarded when you take a food tour with Su Ling and Hello Singapore.

Great Food Tour with Dan!
Mar. 2020
Dan was a wonderful tour guide for our Hello Singapore Tour. We started at a local breakfast spot on East Coast Road, stopped at a cultural center, ate at the best hawker center, had tea in the Haji Lane area, ate a meal in Little India, and finished with a trip to the rooftop bar of one of the hotels and got a great 360 degree view of Singapore. Dan was so personable and knowledgeable. It was the highlight of our trip to Singapore!

An amazing experience.
We had an excellent 5 hour small group food tour with Su Ling as our guide. We have been on a number of food tours and this was definitely a highlight. We had such broad range of local experiences and some delicious foods. Most of which we would never have tried otherwise. Su was knowledgeable, friendly and very informative, a great combination. Highly recommended!
