The best Borobudur & Prambanan tour!
We have been to the Borobudur and Prambanan. It was an amazing day. The temples were really special and Ardi is the best tourguide. He can speak English fluently and is really passionate about this trip. We have learned a lot today and it was nice to meet him.

          Wonderful & Cultural Day
Really good tour! Did the Borobudur and PrambananTemple day tour, which was really nice! Both temples are really impressive. Ardi even showed us some extra temples he really likes, let us taste Luwak Coffee and we had lunch at a great restaurant. Ardi is very open-minded and likes to chat with you about everything. I would really recommend you book with him :)

          Wow !!!
I want to start by saying that Ardi and his team really contributed to improving our trip in Yogyakarta, making the time there amazing ! He recommended us lots of food to try, all the good places, and the best tips to enjoy our journey as much as possible ! We really spent such a good time with him, discovering the Indonesian way of life, and knowledge, and learning some Javanese words too :) ! (During the trip, he even brought us water, rain jackets and suncream because we forgot it :) ) ! Thank you for your time, your patience and the amazing memories we made there ! See you

“Big like”:D - would definitely recommend!
Our stay in Yogyakarta would not have been the same without Ardi and Damar… Not only was everything perfectly organized with Ardi - who was always on time - foreseeing the need for things like water, rain ponchos, or even just sunscreen (which felt like a miracle after realizing that we hadn’t packed it in the morning), but also there was simultaneously lots of room for flexibility. Throughout the 3 days we planned in the area, we ended up adjusting our itinerary multiple times due to weather conditions, and Ardi’s team’s sustained understanding was something we truly appreciated. The recommendations for local restaurants, dishes to try and tips on interacting with locals and how to avoid some less pleasant experiences as a tourist were also spot on and much appreciated. If you’re open-minded and ready for a real cultural exchange filled with sharing knowledge and interesting conversations to make you realize exactly how fascinating of a place and culture you found yourself in, Ardi is your person. By the end of the trip, you will hopefully not only feel like your worldview expanded, but that you have made some new friends on the other side of the world. Also, 11/10 for the music taste in the car (and willingness to listen to and explore your music too!). Maturnuwun!

Ardi as a driver/tour guide is a MUST!
We loved our time in Yogyakarta and that’s mainly because of our very kind and informative driver, Ardi. Even though we were only in town for two short days, it felt like we learned and explored so much of the city thanks to Ardi. He is so knowledgeable about everything, thoughtful in letting us try local foods, and a fantastic driver. Thanks again Ardi!

          Mantap!!!
Booking via Tripadvisor was straightforward. We were provided with Ardi's local number and got in touch with him once we were in Jogja. Ardi was friendly, patient, accommodating and had a lot of local information and tips to share with us. We organised an additional 2 days with Ardi directly after the sunrise and temple tour. He provided great recommendations and places for souvenirs and local eateries too. Highly recommend!

Like hanging out with a friend
Ardi showed us around the temples of yogya with very deep historical knowledge. He treated us very kindly, showed us some places less frequented by tourists, and gave us all the time we needed. All at a reasonable price! He even helped us find a guide in another Island. Would recommend 100%

          Amazing experience!
This visit to Yogyakarta, guided by Ardi, was just incredible! Motivating, open-minded, adaptable and resourceful, Ardi allowed me to discover the best aspects of Yogyakarta by taking into account my personality, desires, constraints, and by calculating extremely well the sequence of the day to always take the best from a place (whether because of the weather, the number of activities desired, the geographical proximity of things he considers attractive,...) while always being very chill and smiling! He's resourceful and knows how to seize opportunities to try out local things without breaking my budget, which is why, instead of spending one day with him as planned, I spent two! Ardi is never in a hurry and is very honest: he doesn't hesitate to say when something seems like a bad idea, but won't oppose it if it's just us. Thank's again for this fabulous experience and these in-depth discussions!

          Very recomended
Andri was very nice helping us chose the temples to visit, and providing us with the webpage to the borobudur tickets. Toto was our driver, and he helped us with everything we needed, from places to eat, and trying coffee or even a simcard. All with the very best proffesional way. No doubt, I would recomend this to a friend.

Being guided by Ardi is from exceptional quality
During our trip to yogyakarta, we spend one day with Ardi. We started our day by watching the sunrise at the bottom of the Merapi Volcano and visiting the ricefields and Selogriyo-Temple (hinduistic temple of a village) afterwards. We enjoyed both countrysides a lot, especially due to their tranquility. After a view days in the busy city, we were able to calm down, enjoying the absence of other tourists as well as the calm and mindful companionship of Ardi. Ardi himself is a trustworthy and open-hearted, respectful guide and person, with an earthed character. The communication with Ardi to plan our tour was really easy and transparent. He informed us about everything in advance and gave us additional recommendations for the trip. Just easy and eager to make the trip as good as possible for us. He has a wide knowledge about culture and religion which he is keen to share. Even though our tour started early at 3.30am and we were really tired, we bonded with Ardi the first minute. Especially getting in touch during the ride to the sunset-viewing-point was magical. If we have the chance to come to yogyakarta again, we will contact Ardi again, maybe just to meet - as friends or good acquaintances do :)

          DO NOT TRUST ARDI
I received Ardi's contact by the hotel I was stayin in. So one month before, I wrote him in order to organize a day tour to visit Borobudur and Prambanan. The organization part took two days, for a total of 3hours of texting (I'm not kidding). During the conversation, he repitely wanted me to accept the tour as he was intended to offert, while I wanted to do it slightly different, for example starting at 10.30 instead of 8.00: this was the first warning bell I should have taken. He also offered himself to buy ticket for Borobudur, in order to assure places for us: he kind of insisted on that, highlighting that it wouldn't cost us more and he was used to do it, so we accepted. Then I wrote him two days before tour in order to check if everything was ok, and it was not ok. He aswered me with the link to buy online ticket by myself and of course ticket were already sold out. Then I asked him why he didn't buy tickets as he offered and he started aswering nonsenses, like regulation changes, all costumer understand that conditions change, his team always check and inform immidiately (then why didn't he write us anything before about changes?) If we knew, we would have bought online ticket by ourown one month before!! So I cancelled the tour and missed the opportunity to visit Borobudur. We then went to Prambanan by Grab, that worked perfectly and actually costed less.

We had a great day out with our guide Damar. He picked us up perfectly on time from our hotel at 3.30am and after visits to Setumbu, Borobudur, and Merapi dropped us off in the evening at Semarang. The whole experience was smooth, friendly and efficiently organised throughout. Recommended with thanks to Ardi and Damar.

Ardy is really the best! Since the first meeting, he knows exactly how to make you comfortable and counts you as a friend instead of a client. He helps you tailor the tour as well. During the tour, he shares his knowledge about the rich culture and history of Yogyakarta and Java in general. We also discussed about the philosophy of both temples after the visit. I definitely recommend this tour!

This is a great tour to visit multiple places in just one day! I never felt rushed and the restaurant they took me to lunch was delicious with a beautiful nature view.
I traveled to Yogyakarta alone but I felt safe with this tour company. They communicated well with me from the booking until the end. My driver Hotma was very friendly, and was a safe driver! He even offered to take me to the airport after the tour to save time from the rush-hour traffic!
Thank you for your service once again and I really enjoyed visiting Yogyakarta!
Just a note, this is a private tour with just an English speaking driver. An English speaking guide is available at each spot you visit for a reasonable price. They helped me understand the history and culture of the temples. You can also choose to go without a guide too.

First to say that our driver, who we then hired as a guide Ardi was fantastic and made the difference between "another b***** temple tour" and a very enjoyable day.
Both Borobudur and Pranbatan are excellent temples to see but, if like us you have seen Ankor Wat and temples ad-infinitum in Thailand and Sri Lanka it can get a bit of - you have to do it but .... If you haven't then you must go see them.

Within the tour you pay for an English speaking driver. Ardi clarified this on the way to Borobudur however he is available for hire.
This guy knows so much! I said to him before we started - 90 minutes here will be all we need. However he took us around the 1st level and told us the story of several of the panels and related it back to both Hindu and Buddhist beliefs AND today's issues. He is a Muslim so enlightened us a lot about common Islamic beliefs also.
We spent 3 hours there and I am sure that if I asked him, he could have spent 8 hours telling us interesting stuff.
We then went to Pawon Temple. This is not interesting but the civet cat and coffee was really interesting.
Final call for us was Prambanan Temple. Again a really spectacular temple and again Ardi knew so much.
Unfortunately we went in the last week of the Java school holiday so the place was absolutely packed with Indonesian families. The crowds were fine and the people amazingly friendly. The traffic however was a big problem.
The clouds cover meant that a trip to Merepi Volcano would have been a waste of time, and anyway we had spent so much time at the temples that it was irrelevant anyway.

Beware - we bought combination tickets for both temples at IDR1,250,000 for 2 people. With the price of everything else in Java so cheap this is a bit of a shock but when you convert it into £, Euro or $ it is not too expensive and extremely good value actually.

Final words - Ardi is incredibly knowledgeable and very interesting. Nice guy with a great attitude. Worth every penny.

Very well rounded tour. I had excellent communication from booking till the end of tour. My guide was Ardi, one of the best guides I've met. He was punctual and very easy to communicate with. He is a careful driver and you can also hire him to guide you through the temples. His stories are very detailed and inspiring, he will show you best places to take photos and give you advices where to buy souvenirs. It's never boring with him :) He also explained me a lot about everyday life in Java and it's history. As he knows all the great places on the route, we stop to try some fruit and latter to grab a vegetarian lunch. He helped me better understand local customs and perception of foreigners, which helped me relaxes, since I've been traveling alone.
Ardi can also help you about other tours in the area and also is a good option for airport transfer. You can arrange with him the best option for you - how much time to spend where etc. Oh, and he is an excellent photographer :) Thank you Ardi for the great experience :)

Took this tour as a female solo traveler and it couldn't have gone on better. Dani spent the day with me showing me around Yogyakarta as a friend would. He is kind and jovial and made many recommendations based on what I wanted to see though we didn't get to do them due to the rain. When I shared with him that my Borobudur guide (booked at the temple) was quite bad (disinterested, spoke only a few lines in the entire HOUR even though I asked him many questions!) he took it upon himself to share everything he knew about the sights so it wouldn't happen again. :)
Thank you JB & Dani for the smooth & comfortable booking experience - will definitely re-connect when I return to Java!

I choose to book a day trip and explore Jogja as much as I can. Thank you for assigning driver Mega. He tried his level best to introduce Jogja history and culture in English, which is a challenge. He is experience and make sure I’m safe as I travelled alone.

Visit Merapi to experience the after effects of a volcanic eruption. Prambanan and Borobudur are great cultural sites.

When I first booked this tour I didn't realise that, despite it bring very clear on the listing, the cost doesn't include entrance fees for the attraction. Most of my tours in Indonesia have been ~£15 cheaper, so I started to wonder if I had made the right choice, but there was nothing to worry about!

Although I'd booked at 6:30am start, driver Dani messaged me the night before to ask if I wanted to go for sunrise (a 3:30am departure from my hotel in central Yogya). I mulled it over for an hour or so but, with ten hours' notice, decided to go for it. So off we set at 3:30.

We didn't return home until close to 7. During that long day we visited an astonishing five temples, the Buddhist monastery, and Mount Merapi. Dani was very easy company, full of energy despite the long day, and with excellent English skills. We chatted all day about various things, and his driving was always safe and comfortable. I ended up tipping even more at the end of the day because I was so grateful for his willingness to manage the early start and long day. I'm consequently very happy to recommend this trip. It was worth every rupiah and every second of sleeplessness.
