          An excellent tour!
What an amazing day out with Putra! Very attentive and flexible guide showed us waterfalls and rice terraces. Kept us out of trouble and safely delivered us to where we needed to be at busy times on the road.

Skip the trip and stay in Bali its nicer
Nusa Penida wasn’t at all what we expected and turned out to be the lowest point of our entire Balinese trip. The island was experiencing a drought and was dry, arid and dusty, unlike the lush green of the green forests and rice paddies that we just left in Bali. The only tourist attraction destinations are the multitude of beaches at the base of cliffs on the eastern and western coastline of the island. And did I mention that to get to the viewing areas of these various beaches you have to traverse rocky and inclined terrain that leads you to unbelievable incongruent steps of various depths and heights with absolutely no rhyme or reason. One could be six inches tall and the next 2 feet tall! And did I mention you had to climb a minimum of 60-100 steps at each location to get to just the first stage viewing area? If you wanted to see the full extent expect to climb 250-1000 steps. We had informed the tour company that we were disabled prior to doing the tour. We were never informed that this was NOT a handicapped friendly tour. We had also informed them that one member of our group had a heart condition. They definitely should have warned us that just the walk alone from the ferry dock to the parking lot was 10 minutes in the heat. We would have insisted on stopping to buy something to drink. Finally, the air conditioning in the vehicle we were in wasn’t working properly so we were not able to cool off between beach walks. In the end we cut the tour short. We had seen 2 beaches on each coast, we didn’t need to see the last two. They were sandy beaches at the bottom of cliffs accessed by climbing treacherous terrain surrounded by lil shops selling food and souvenirs and crazy uneven depth steps. You seen one, you’ve seen them all.

5 stars! Amazing experience with a lovely driver who took us to all of our stops. The trek up the volcano was challenging but the reward was a beautiful sunrise.

Early morning start and mayhem with jeeps and motor cross bikes … however the end result is well worth it. Our guide … Putu was excellent and highly recommend him

Ricky + Mount Batur is a great experience!
Great experience! Everything was well-organized: on time pick-up, coffee/tea and cookies when arriving in base camp, and a breakfast on top of the mountain. Our guide Ricky was also very good! He was taking care of us all the time, knew the best paths for going up, and could tell us a lot of interesting facts about Mount Batur, and above that he is also a great pothographer! We really recommend to ask for Ricky if you do this trip!!!

          Great tour
Our tour guide was really good. We are relatively fit so it was nice to have a personalised experience and to hike at our own pace. He was very good at this. I recommend that anyone who does this tour takes extra layers for the top though. It is very very cold and just a jumper isn’t enough. You can hire a blanket but even that doesn’t help too much.

What an amazing experience. From the moment you get picked up with your drivers who were both Agus you felt completely safe and cared for. We had Gunawan as our leader and he assured us 3 adults and our 3 under 11 year old children were taken care of. Highly recommend this tour and these guides 🌸

Amazing hike, thank you Gunawan and Riki!
The whole experience from the start to end was awesome, overall a manageable hike, yet with a very rewarding view at the top. Special mentions to our experienced guide Gunawan and Riki, who were very friendly and helpful. Some of us were a little slower but they had always been very patient with us and looked out for our safety all the times. Their photography skills are amazing too! They would take the initiatives to guide us to great scenic spots for the photography moment. Also thanks to our driver Kadek for the smooth ride to and fro our accommodation.

          Amazing Sunrise Batur
The trip was well organised and brilliant, Ady our driver was very pleasant and friendly, ensuring we got to our locations safely. Our guide up the mountain was also very helpful and friendly. Even when I was struggling he provided us with a helping hand and motivated us to the top, ensuring we used the best routes. The views at the top were spectacular albeit slightly cloudy. 10/10 would recommend.

          Highly recommended private trip
I went as a female solo traveller to the sunrise hike to Mount Batur. The communication went through Whataspp and it was all very clear. The driver was perfect on time. The personal guide I had to do the hiking was very friendly. At the top he offered to take as many pictures as I wanted and he showed me the good spots. The breakfast at the top was also delicious. Highly recommend!

Not an easy trek but absolutely worth it!!!

We booked our trip directly through their website and quickly got a confirmation for a 2 person private tour up to Mount Agung starting at Besakih temple.

Our driver picked us up at our hotel in Kuta at 8.30pm and it took us about 1h30 to get to the starting point where we met with our lovely guide Juna.
Every thing was well organized. They had water bottles breakfast, headlamp, beanies, gloves, walking sticks prepare for us. All the above equipment were absolutely a life saver as we were not that well prepared.

We started the trek at exactly 11PM at 1,200m above sea level. The overall trek was quite demanding with about 4-5h of active walking uphill. The road was slightly slippery as it just rained, however the guide was very careful and helpful and made sure to help us through the best path.
After 1,200m of elevation we had a big break where we had hot coffee and tea, which was prepared buy our guide It was a lot colder than we had imagine so i strongly suggest to get warm clothes and maybe a change of shirt in case your get very sweaty. After about 45m break we continues to make our way to the top and arrived right at 6am for the sunrise. We got lucky with the clouds and witness a beautiful sunrise.
Other than the sunrise, the view is absolutely spectacular. A 360 degree full of wonder.

We started our way down at about 7am. This was the toughest part for me as you are already getting tired from the climb and the sleepless night. Walking down is always a challenge for me, however again Juna was very patient and helped me through the tougher parts.

We went down quite quickly and got to the bottom at 10.30. Absolutely exhausted but with Zero regrets.

It was an amazing experience and everything went even better than expected. If you are in a good physical condition, i strongly recommend doing the trip.

We did the ascencion of Mount Agung in October and we were really not comfortable at first because the weather has been pretty bad the days before. Luckily we could discuss with the tour organiser who reassured us, and on the day Momon our guide (which was fantastic) also explained that we will turn around in case of heavy rain - which is a good sign. We were really happy with the booking, everything was smooth, our driver Agus for the pick up was there on time, they provided some material for the hike (hat, gloves, and walk sticks, food). Be aware the hike itself is quite challenging and not for beginners. Our ascent went at a quite fast pace and we had to do a stop with a campfire to not reach the summit too early. The last part of the ascent though was more difficult ; it is more climbing than hiking, and in the dark it does not help. If you are easily afraid of height, this can be challenging. Once you reach the top, you forget the pain as the view is breathtaking if you are lucky enough to have a clear sky. The descent then is quite fastidious for the climbing part. For those interested in the trek, I can't recommend enough going with a local guide (there is no indicated path) and to be in a good shape.

Mount Agung trekking tour was in line with my expectations: a nice hike of around 1.8k D+ to be performed by night, on a steep but well defined path.
Guide was really helpful and nice, trying to coordinate all groups climbing at the same time (we were 10 persons to climb this night, in 5 different groups => this is a quite exclusive experience).
Having done multiple climbs I can say that this one is a good one, with interesting views from the top, and a nice sunrise over Bali (you can see mount Batur and all the coasts of Bali island) and a good view on Lombok / mount Rijani at the same time.
Being really fit, we were at the top quite early (we had the opportunity to sleep 2 hours on the ground by the campfire before going to the top for sunrise) and the guide was also eager to guide me through the Besakih temple when down in the morning (and it was a very good / insightful complement).
Thank you Bali trekking tour for this good experience!

It was an awesome experience! Beginning with Ady, the best driver at the island! Picked me up right on time at midnight. We started the hike around 2am and summited at 6am to see an incredible sunrise! The weather was perfect and Kaki my guide was very kind to serve me coffee on the summit 🤩 he‘s so funny and very professional! He was prepared for any situation! Luckily we didn’t need to make use of it. The way up took us 4 hours and down around two. We were really fast, normally it would take twice as long. I would definitely do it again!! Thanks bali trekking for this unforgettable adventure!

This was an amazing and once in a lifetime trek, but I’ll warn you that unless you are very fit, like you bike miles a week, trek yearly, go backpacking, or hike trails with at least 2k ft elevation gain multiple times a year this hike will be grueling and almost impossible. If you do those things you will have a good challenge but get to the top in time. TLDR - took 9 hours, 4 up and 4 down, 1 hour at the peak and we made it to the top at 5:30am. Was something like 3k ft of elevation gain, air is super thin so take deep breaths. Wear warm clothes in layers so you can take them off on the way down when the sun is out. It’s cold and windy so dress an accordingly.

More than half the ppl who sign up give up, can’t make it up because it’s too physically demanding, or don’t make it in time for sunrise but still get an amazing view. I saw ppl in skimpy little work out shorts climbing up the mountain, they didn’t make it in time for sunrise and were devastated and cold.

Our driver Putu was very communicative on what’s app, he confirmed pick up time and where 2 days before. He got to us 10 min early and let us sleep in the van for the 1.5 hour drive to the Pasar temple starting point at 11:30pm at night.

Then we met our guide Lennie! She is very sweet, helpful, and knowledgeable of the mountain and area. She is easily the strongest women and person I have met. She does that entire hike 3 times a week often. She has been climbing is since she was 10! Safety came first, she packs extra water in case you don’t have 2L with you. She was the best guide, highly reccomend , she even helps you down as she led me with her hand as the rock scramble down can feel exhausting after 5 hours of hiking. She is very experienced and speaks English very well. She helped us any time we needed it and reminded us to drink water. Would not have been able to do it without her. Worth every dollar and step.

She gives you hot tea and coffee at the bottom and top. We were not very prepared and had just running shoes on, was doable, but harder. Would be better to have trail or hiking shoes cuz this path to the 2nd lower summit is still hard, but is more rocky I hear than the true summit path via beskeith temple.

Worst the effort and grueling physical and mental challenge if you are fit enough to attempt it. Otherwise do the shorter sunrise batur hike. If you don’t know what a trek is, or what a rock scramble is, better look it up.

Absolutely amazing experience. If you're into hiking and somewhat confident in your ability, you should definitely try the hike up Mt. Agung.

Be prepared though. It's 2000 meters of climbing over increasingly steep terrain. It takes about 6 hours at a moderate pace with a few breaks.
Also be warned that it gets cold at the top. You might arrive a bit early and have to wait there, so be sure to bring a good warm sweater and jacket.

Hiking shoes are also definitely required here. It's very rocky at the top and you don't want to risk falling up there.

My guide, Kaki, was absolutely amazing. He struck the perfect balance between having an interesting conversation during the breaks and letting the quiet of the night add to the experience while walking. He also perfectly set the pace so we'd arrive at the top with about 1 hour to spare for a bit of rest before watching the sunrise and starting the descent.

        Overall, an amazing experience.

From the firsr moment great experience. They even organized a tour on the same day what I contacted them. (basically for next day since it is a sunrise tour) First messages around noon and 21:30 my driver Baruna was at my doorstep. It was my who was late. Sorry Baruna.🙏 Baruna gave me first info and provided me with more then enought snacks and water for the track. He gave me much needed gloves and raincoat(stayed in my backpak). My guide Darta was ready at Besakih temple with walking stick and headlamp for me. Since beginning of the trek we have a good pace and we reach the summit after 4 hours. Before final push to the summit we waited in small "cave" what protect us against wind where Darta cooked a tea and coffee and open cookies. Good mood continue. After aprox. 2 hours of waiting we went for final push. Final part is pretty easy and took us 30 mimutes. Include 2 hours of waiting we were 6 hours on the trek. On the summit we met a few other hikers and guides and share the moment together. Again with tee, coffee, cookies and fried banans😊 Unfortunately that day ther was a cloud on the top so we don't have a good view. It wasn't ruine the moment. Everyone was in a good mood. Descent itself took as around 2,5 hours and for my was much harder then ascent. Be careful, descent is very slippery.
From the first moment continued driving with Baruna and climbing with Darta it was a good experinece. I can recommend.

Mount Agung wasnt an easy feat for a beginner like me. It was my first time ever hiking a mountain so it was both physically and mentally challenging. The transport provided to and fro was on time and comfortable for journey to the mountain from our hotel. At the starting point, my guide Leny gave safety briefing and supplied us the necessary hiking equipment and we kicked off the hike. Throughout the hike, Leny kept on checking with our health conditions if we were okay and needed to take breaks in between. Once we were at the summit, the views were breathtaking and it is like nothing ive ever seen in my life. We were literally above the clouds and the sunrise was so beautiful i did not speak a word and just fed my eyes this beautiful sight. Tea, coffee and breakfast by our guide. Even though the hike up was tough and difficult, the views made it worth it. It was one of the most memorable experiece in my life and after this, I would definitely hike more mountains.

Our first idea was that climbing mount Agung must be easy, and you just follow the path. But as we researched more and more we decided for a guide, it was the best invested money! Kaki is definitely a pro, we felt very safe with him and we wouldn’t be able to do it without him. It was raining for 20mins when we started so the beginning was very muddy and at night would be pretty easy to get lost. Everything was planned well, driver Agus arrived 10mins early and we could start walking at 10:40pm from Besakih temple with plenty of time for breaks with no stress. Everyone was welcoming and professional making sure we have everything we need. I’m not planning to do this crazy trek again but I can definitely recommend these guys! Unforgettable experience! Thank you :) Gabi and Michaela

5 stars for customer service. We booked the mount batur sunrise trek but the day of our activity the weather was howling wind and rain all day, we most likely wouldn’t have seen the sunrise due to clouds and my wife didn’t fancy climbing in the rain with her dodgy knee. We contacted the company and mentioned our concerns they gave a full refund instantly no questions asked. Amazing customer service, we are back in Bali in January so will be booking this trip again with this company (hopefully with sunshine!). Thank you
