About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- cblain340 contributionsExcellent Food TourWe had an amazing private tour with Kiyo in March 2025! He took us to so many places we never would have explored on our own, and we learned a ton about life in Hong Kong. We went to a few Michelin spots and had this amazing chilled noodle dish we still talk about. We've been on a bunch of food tours and this one was excellent, one of our favorites. Thank you!Written 24 March 2025
- Connector305390 contributionsAmazing Introduction to Hong Kong During Layover at AirportOur flight from Vietnam to San Francisco included an eight-hour layover in Hong Kong and rather than just hanging out in the terminal, we wanted to get out of the airport and see some of the local sites. We were delighted to find Hello Hong Kong's Four-Hour Custom Private Tour. To minimize the stress of the entire process, we booked an airport pickup for an hour after our scheduled arrival. The arrangements were awesome and included contact info for the guide and accommodations for our requests to see the maximum number of sites and exclude any food stops or shopping. I received a WhatsApp message from our guide (Alfred) while we were standing in the immigration line and he was waiting for us at the prearranged location in the terminal. Alfred whisked us to our van and we immediately took off for the city. We visited the financial center and made a brief stop where Alfred reviewed some of HK's history using a timeline sculpted into the side of the HSBC building. From there we went directly to the funicular departure point (Lower Peak Tram Station) for the trip to the Victoria Peak tower where Alfred skillfully maneuvered us past a massive group of tourists using his Oyster card to get near the front of the queue. That saved us tons of time and upon reaching the top we had some breathtaking views of Hong Kong. The van was waiting for us when we exited from the tower and we drove to the Aberdeen Fishing Village where we embarked on a private sampan ride, gliding past the floating village and the historic Tai Pak Floating Restaurant. This experience provided an authentic glimpse into Hong Kong’s traditional fishing culture. Alfred had pre-arranged the ride and the boat was ready to go when we arrived. After that, our time was up and we drove back to the airport where Alfred escorted us to the immigration checkpoint. Getting in and out of the terminal was hassle free. U.S. citizens do not need a visa for a brief visit and if your luggage is checked through to your final destination, you can bring your carry on and keep it in the van during the tour. You present your passport and boarding pass when you get back to the airport and you can pass through security, just like in the U.S, Overall, we got a great overview of Hong Kong and its history during this brief visit and had a great time with Alfred. He was incredible -- thoroughly prepared and professional. The driver (Dixon?) was fantastic and did a marvelous job piloting us safely and calmly from stop to stop in a minimum amount of time. They both made sure we got back to the airport on time. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone else who has a brief layover in Hong Kong. Rather than just idling away the time in the terminal, getting out of the airport for a brief tour was a fantastic way to experience one of the great cities of the world in a limited amount of time. One small tip: before leaving the terminal stop by an ATM and pick up some Hong Kong dollars (maybe $500 HK is enough?) to pay for the incidental expenses (the trip to Victoria Peak Tower and the sampan ride) not included in the tour price.Written 24 March 2025
- slade2260 contributionsDelightful tourThis tour was among the among our favorites of all time. The top-notch street food (and some sit-down food) combined with walking and shopping the colorful streets of Kowloon was delightful. It was all brought to life by our guide Mel, who was engaging, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. We highly recommend this tour!Written 23 March 2025

- U9624PMjimp0 contributionsFood and Cultural experienceMel was amazing, upbeat and knowledgeable about Hong Kong. We were so full that we just tasted the last stop. Mel even took us to our last subway stop ... I guess we looked confused, out of his way, and I'm sure he was tired. Great tour!Written 19 March 2025
- I2770OJeds0 contributionsExceptional Hong Kong Tour with Alfred! (Hello Hong Kong full day tour)Exceptional Hong Kong Tour with Alfred! We had limited time in Hong Kong and wanted to make the most of it, so we booked a full-day tour with Hello Hong Kong. Alfred, our guide, was outstanding—friendly, knowledgeable, and highly intuitive to our needs. He was fluent in English, easy to understand, and incredibly flexible in adjusting the itinerary to cover both Hong Kong and Lantau Islands—a challenging feat given the logistics. Alfred crafted a thoughtful itinerary that included all our must-see spots and even fit in a stop at a specific restaurant we wanted to visit. Highlights included: - Peak Tram to Victoria Peak - Downtown stroll past landmarks like the HSBC complex - Visit to the Big Buddha, Po Lin Monastery, and the Wisdom Path (a hidden gem Alfred recommended) - Lunch at Tim Ho Wan for Michelin-starred dumplings - Ride on the world’s longest outdoor escalator - Exploring Tai Kwun, Hollywood Road, and Man Mo Temple Alfred’s expertise and warmth made the experience unforgettable. I highly recommend him as a guide for anyone visiting Hong Kong.Written 19 March 2025

Highlights included dim sum, beef noodle soup, and the outdoor markets. Sinclair was full of facts and antidotes throughout the tour and took wonderful pictures of our experience. We went around the markets, had samples of street food, mixed with eating in the street and at tables, along with enjoying all the culture and sights that Kowloon offers. This really is worth doing .Written 17 March 2025
- jeffsS639HC0 contributionsMuch better than expectedThe food was much better than I expected. Our guide Mel, speaks perfect English. He told us interesting stories of the food history and cultural history of Hong Kong. He got us extra food that I do not think was part of tour, including satisfying my wife wish to try Durian fruit. He went way out of his way to make sure everyone got to try something that they really liked.Written 17 March 2025
- Linda O0 contributionsgreat personalized HK tourAlfred was a friendly, knowledgeable guide who expertly navigated us through Hong Kong. Our itinerary included going to Aberdeen fishing village, Victoria Peak, Symphony of Lights on the Promenade, and Temple Street Night Market. We rode the train, taxi, bus, and sampan boat. - Federicorp20180 contributionsAmazing Complet Tour of Hong KongThe experience was amazing. Mel delivered a complete and super fun tour of Hong Kong. I had been 5 years ago in HK, and I loved it but was not really amazed by it. But after this tour, we long to return and enjoy more of the city. Mel took us to see many sites by taking us in car and also walking. We tried local fried soup dumplings in Michelin recommended street food restaurant (Cheung Hing Kee soup buns), the Tai Cheong Egg Tartas well as XTC. gelato. We visited victoria Peak, Peak tram, St John's cathedral, HSBC headquarters, Supreme Court, IFC mall and lookout, the Midlevel travellator, the Central Market, Nan Lian Garden and the Chi Lin Nunnery. Mel was super pleasant and friendly. Highly, highly recommended.Written 15 March 2025

He is able to quickly change the itinerary to do what interests you. Hello Hong Kong helped us turn an inconvenience into a wonderful experience! My family of 4 (wife, 2 young daughters, and I) had to book an itinerary with an overnight/20 hour layover in HK. But we were told by a friend about Hello HK and booked the layover tour. We had an excellent tour guide Mel to make our short time perfect despite some rain! He put together a tour plan based completely on what we wanted (Dim Sum and Victoria’s Peak) and added in a few extra fun and historical elements. All the while Mel gave us incredible insight into HK history and local culture. We totally enjoyed our tour and would do it again if we have another chance in the future!

We had the best time with Sinclair on our private food/walking tour! We met at Hong Kong Station and were whisked away to some incredible food! The first dim sum house was such a fun experience and we had the most amazing custard ball and fried BBQ pork bun. Our favorite stop was the BBQ pork and noodles - so delicious! We had several other food stops and we were completely full even before we finished all the stops ! We also learned a bunch about the neighborhoods we went through, visited Man Mo temple, and took the Star Ferry across the bay to Kowloon. Sinclair was a great guide, so informative, and definitely brought us to the best food we could have imagined! It was such a breeze booking with Hello Hong Kong too. I highly recommend this tour and will be telling everyone I know coming to Hong Kong to book!

We booked this 6 hour tour since it was our first visit to Hong Kong, and wanted to use our time as efficiently as possible. The directions for meeting our guide were spot on after our 12 hour flight. Sinclair met us at airport and we followed him like a family of Peking ducks, all 8 of us, using the public transport and walking all around Central Hong Kong and Mong Kok. By train, Peak Tram, bus, and boat, Sinclair easily navigated our group through an excellent overview of HK. He is a wealth of information, excellent group photographer, and answered all our questions as we were guided through the streets. His sense of humor and quick walking pace kept us all awake as we were fighting off our jet lag.

We took the layover tour with Richard. This was our first visit to Hong King and it turned out to be a great way to sample it’s famous sights, culture, food, history and geography. Richard adjusted the tour as per our preferences and along the way gave us insights into various aspects of Hong Kong. Besides popular places he also took us off the beaten path to give us an insiders view. All in all the tour exceeded our expectations and is highly recommended.

We had a last minute reroute with our flight and wound up having an 11 hour layover in Hong Kong. I made arrangements 2 days before for us to have the 6 hour tour while we were there. Things could not have gone more smoothly. Communication was great! Ryan met us at the airport and showed us some of the main sights to see around town. We got to experience the different means of public transportation and some local food. The trip to Victoria Peak was the highlight of the day. What a beautiful view! Ryan was very friendly and informative, we learned a lot. It was a great day!

Richard was our Hello Hong Kong tour guide as we ate our way through Hong Kong. He combined a food tour with an educational tour of Hong Kong. Richard was plain awesome. He was very flexible with the scheduling as we enjoyed the tastes of Chinese cuisine and learned about Hong Kong history and culture. Thanks, Richard. We really enjoyed our brief stay in Hong Kong.

We had a 12 hour layover in Hong Kong so my husband, 11 year old son, and I took advantage of it by spending a wonderful and enjoyable day with Richard visiting the sites by public transportation. Richard was incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and immediately put our family at ease. Although this was not my husband's nor my first time in Hong Kong, Richard shared a lot of history and information which was new to us, and he did a great job of keeping our son engaged. Highly recommend this tour for everyone!

We are spending the night at an airport hotel. After arriving will we be able to check in at the hotel and drop off the luggage?
Written 25 October 2018
After a 16 hour flight, two of us will be arriving in Hong Kong at 5:30 in the afternoon, have booked a hotel in Mui Wo for overnight, leaving the next morning at 8 in the morning. Can we still make this work...either dropping our overnight bag at the hotel, or changing the meeting place from the airport to the hotel? And would a cab be the best option to get from airport to hotel? Will it work to do this in the evening, rather than daylight hours? Looks like we would really enjoy this!
