Hello Tours and Sinclair gave a great tour
Sinclair picked us up at the port once our cruise ship arrived. He was there with a sign and made it so easy. He had a driver with a great comfortable van ready and water in each cup holder. Once we got into the van Sinclair went through the day that he had planned to show us the highlights and true local lights of the city. We started our day with a drive toward Aberdeen District crossing under the Hung Hom Harbour Tunnel. We then stopped for some Dim Sum at a local restaurant which was amazing. We then walked along the Aberdeen Shelter and did some sightseeing and pictures. The van then met us and drove us further south to Stanley Market and a visit to Tin Hau Temple and saw the last tiger skin that was shot by a policeman in the olden days. We got back into the van and drove toward Victoria Peak and Sinclair did an amazing job of not only explaining and showing us things but answering any questions we had. We then drove toward the Kowloon District and visited the Wong Tai Sin Temple. We then went down to a local area with stores and markets. We had a late lunch at Good Good Dim Sum Kitchen eating Stir Fried Beef Rice Noodles, Siu Mai and Shrimp Dumplings and visited the Fresh Market. Sinclair even treated us to an Egg Tart that was still warm and wonderful. We then went to our hotel and Sinclair stayed with us until he made sure we were checked in and even told us of places around our hotel to try and explore. I can't say enough about the Hong Kong and even more about Hello Tours and Sinclair. He was an amazing tour guide and I would highly recommend him..

An amazing food tour with Sinclair
Just wanted to thank Hello and in particular Sinclair, for a great morning yesterday on the Hong Kong food tour. We had such a great time exploring Hong Kong island and eating our way around! The Dim Sum at the start was a real experience. For me, the absolute food highlight was the roast pork later in the morning. Above all Sinclair was so engaging, friendly and informative, would highly recommend

Amazing unforgettable day at Lantau Island ♥️
We had an amazing day visiting Lantau. We highly recommend Synclair as your guide, he is very knowledgeable, kind, nice and funny. He shared with us a lot about their culture, history and religions in a very interesting way. He is very friendly and proud of his country and people. He makes you feel like you are expending a day with a close friend. Regarding the tour , visiting the Buddha is a MUST. It is breathtaking, beautiful, you cannot miss it. The monastery is also very beautiful, colorful and very interesting. Tai O is a fisherman’s little town. It is interesting to walk through the market and taste some of the street food. Dim sum was amazing, the bread and sweet ginger also. Taking the boat was very nice. The tour gift was to have the fortune to meet a pink dolphin!!! It was so beautiful and make me very happy. I highly recommend this tour. You cannot miss it!!!

    Hong Kong City Highlights
We truly enjoy our time with Sinclair and our driver Ken. Sinclair was very personable and shared his knowledge of Hong Kong with us while we enjoyed the magnificent views. We learned about the history and culture, but more importantly the people who live here. What we truly appreciated was the flexibility that Sinclair showed as he adapted to our needs. It was an excellent experience.

A Culinary Adventure with Ivy: Hong Kong's Private Food Tour Extravaganza!
Our recent private food tour in Hong Kong with the fantastic guide Ivy was extraordinary! From the first moment we met, Ivy's friendliness and passion for her city's culinary delights were palpable, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience. Ivy, a true local with extensive knowledge of Hong Kong's food scene, took us on an enlightening and incredibly delicious gastronomic journey. She effortlessly navigated the bustling streets, leading us (a couple) to hidden gems and authentic eateries that we would never have discovered on our own. Ivy's insights into each dish's history and cultural significance added an extra layer of depth to the experience. Evidently, she took pride in sharing her heritage, weaving stories that made the food come alive. As we savored each bite, Ivy's anecdotes enhanced our understanding and appreciation of Hong Kong's rich culinary heritage. Beyond her expertise, Ivy's infectious enthusiasm and genuine love for her city made the tour an absolute joy. Her friendly demeanor and willingness to answer our myriad questions created an atmosphere of camaraderie, turning what could have been a typical tour into an engaging conversation with a knowledgeable friend. The pacing of the tour was perfect, allowing us to savor each dish without feeling rushed. Ivy's thoughtful arrangements ensured a seamless experience, from navigating crowded markets to finding the best seats in tiny local eateries. Her attention to detail and commitment to providing a top-notch experience were evident at every turn. In conclusion, if you're looking for a private food tour beyond the ordinary, look no further than Ivy in Hong Kong. Her expertise, warmth, and genuine passion for sharing the culinary wonders of her city create an unparalleled experience that will leave you with a newfound love for Hong Kong's food scene. This tour was a highlight of our trip, and we can't recommend Ivy highly enough. Don't miss the opportunity to embark on a culinary adventure with this fantastic guide!

    Amazing city tour for foodies
Thank you Ivy for this amazing tour trough Hongkong. Places we would never have found on our own and food we would most probably not have tried otherwise. The dim sum place was a great experience and the fresh wanton with noodles and brisket a revelation. Thank you so much to be repeated again….

    Wonderful and pleasant
The tour with Alex was wonderful. It was a great way to see parts of HK that are not typically tourist destinations, especially the local street establishments. Alex did a great job of explaining to us the living situation of locals in HK and let us understand the history of HK everywhere we went. Would definitely recommend this tour to those new and old to HK! Awesome food too!

Mel gives us the ideal walking food tour of Hong Kong.
Mel was as knowledgeable as he was friendly and flexible in leading our little group of three. He effortlessly showed us around and pointed out some of the most distinctive (and delicious) highlights of the city. A pleasure start to finish.

Book this great tour - you won’t be disappointed
It was a fun way to explore Hong Kong. Alex was an excellent guide. The choice of location was great - a real chance to experience a different kind of neighbourhood. Alex shared lots of fascinating information but was also willing to answer questions about Hong Kong culture, history, politics and food. Food choices were great. Well worth booking.

Hello Hong Kong Full Day Food Tour
This was an amazing food tour. Our guide Mel was extremely informative, and even though it was a "food tour," he explained and showed us many other things unique to Hong Kong as we walked. The food he chose was excellent. We counted over 16 different items we tasted throughout the day, including selections from 2 1-star Michelin restaurants. He was also extremely helpful in explaining how each of us (there were 3 couples), could get back to our hotels.

Small group tour to appreciate the culture and food of Hong Kong by sampling local Street food and historical information about
There were 7 of us in the group and we were taken around Hong Kong with our knowledgeable local guide Alex. There was a lot of food on the tour, food I would not have had the chance to sample without a local as I wouldn't have known what to look for or how to order. I enjoyed tasting all the new dishes that I had not tried before. Alex also took the time to explain more about the history of Hong Kong, from the language origins to the history of some of the places we visited and the dishes we were trying and even the housing issues Hong Kong is facing. The walk can be rather fast paced but it wasn't too difficult considering the was a decent amount of walking. I would recommend the tour for people who would love to try what the locals eat.

Great insight into the food and history of HK🇭🇰
Alex was an excellent guide. He showed us lots of wonderful traditional Cantonese food, and made sure at each point to explain what we were eating and give us some background. He also made sure to give us lots of choice of options at most of the stops, and advised on what would be best to choose based on our own preferences. Not only was the tour a great chance to try some delicious food, it was also super informative. Alex gave us loads of information about the history of Hong Kong, and in between food stops showed us some historic parts of the city. He is very amicable and full of knowledge, and was more than happy to answer any questions and chat about anything! A great start to any trip in HK, thank you Alex!!

We saw a lot of Kowloon in half a day with Alex. From fresh air markets and food stalls to the bright lights of Victoria harbor there were lots of sights and a few tasty bites. Alex knows a ton about the history and politics of the city and gave us a good overview of the contest between the riches and reality of Hong Kong.

Alex was our guide and was very knowledgeable about the city’s history and culture. We tried so many different foods and snacks we ended up skipping dinner. We got to really explore Sham shui po neighborhood which is hard without a guide as it can be pretty hectic and overwhelming. Highly recommended to explore Kowloon area.

If you are searching for an authentic tour around one of Hong Kongs more local neighborhoods, bustling with markets of all sorts, and discovering delicious new cuisine, this is an worthwhile experience. Mel provides great insight on the various markets, and dishes commonly eaten and loved by hongkongers. I personally enjoyed visiting the eastern medicine shops, the Michelin star road, eating savoury treats such as mochi and black sesame cake. The dim sum tasting is unmatched, along with lovely conversation about Sham Sui Po, the cuisine, and the people. I'd recommend this tour for those wanting to know Hong Kong better, to those who are intimidated by the markets, and to those that love history and food!
We finished by the harbor, a wonderful spot to admire the city.

Alex was a great tour guide. This tour was a fantastic introduction to Hong Kong for us, especially considering our limited time here. We experienced many places and things that we would otherwise not known existed, and Alex had a great in-depth knowledge of Hong Kong history.

Most of the food was delicious, with one or two things not to our taste, but it was all certainly good quality.

Thanks Alex for being a great host in your beautiful city.

Would have been a wonderful exposition of the seedier side of night life in Kowloon, but for completely rushing through it. Guide (Nicole) meant well;was perky and fairly personable. However she was in such a hurry to check off all the boxes that 1) we couldn't really take in what she was saying 2) we were practically running through the crowds to keep up with her. In fact although it was supposed to be a 4-hour tour, we finished at 3-1/4 hr; no offer to linger or do more, just "Bye now".
I might have been spoiled by the other Hello Kong (day) tour which was much more satisfying, but I felt that this was not up to that standard, and was not worth the $107 per person that we spent.

Discovering hidden treasures and not so hidden ones with Ryan was a great experience for us. Having been in Hong Kong for 4 days already we thought we'd seen most places around Kowloon but Ryan kept us entertained and informed about things we'd never have found ourselves. We said we wanted to see some of the 'real' HK rather than the touristy things and he delivered. A ride on a red mini-bus was an experience in itself and we learnt about the 'no route' policy - glad we didn't do that one on our own! Learning of the Walled City Slum, visiting the now City Park, finding out that what we thought was the Ladies Market we visited the previous day was in fact the disposable market. Ryan then showed us the various markets - the actual Ladies market we'd missed - then the Goldfish marekt, a rare glimpse of reptiles, and then told us the reality of keeping pets in apartments and feng shui and goldfish. We also learnt about the reality in the size of living spaces for most who live in HK- visited the Chungking mansions and learnt of the challenges facing those who come to HK to earn money to send home to families. Then to the Peninsula Hotel to bring home the contrast. What a great 4 hours - learnt more in that time than the 4 days previous. Well worth it and with a guide who has a good heart, great understanding and really listened to what we wanted to do. Plus we had dinner as well. Definitely glad we did this tour.
