We booked a Beijing walking tour with Lotus. She was an excellent guide! She speaks English fluently and is very knowledgeable. We learned a lot from her not only about the historical facts but also about Chinese culture and people. She took us to a local (not tourist) restaurant where we enjoyed lunch. Unfortunately, DiDi and WeChat still do not work with foreign cards (even though you can load them, but you can't pay yet) and since we decided to see an acrobatic show after our tour, she decided to wait for us for an hour so she can make sure she can explain to us how to buy the metro tickets and get to our hotel! We greatly appreciated that. The best way to communicate with her (and any other tour guide in Beijing) is through WeChat. I highly recommend that you download and set up that app before you go there.

My son and I spent the day with Lotus and I can’t say enough great things about her! The day was flawless- from the pick up at our hotel to the walking tour of the Forbidden City- we learned so much. Lotus is extremely knowledgeable about the rich history of China and speaks fluent English. She has a very easy style and is extremely kind. Lunch was a treat and the Great Wall was thrilling. I went on a two-week trip around Beijing and Nanjing with a group. We had multiple guides throughout the different cities and attractions. Everyone's favorite by far was Lotus! We found ourselves comparing all other guides to her and were disappointed when we did not have her for our final day in Beijing. Great English, easy to understand, and was the only tour guide who would make sure the entire group stuck together! She also was happy to be a bit flexible and see how the group was feeling before deciding the next stop at times. So friendly and happy to answer any question you may have! I would recommend her to anyone!

What an amazing trip. Lotus let me at the agreed upon time and my day was off to a fabulous start. The Great Wall is impressive. I elected the ski lift up and the slide down it was amazing. Lotus was so kind to take photos and video of me on the experience. After plenty of time on the wall and shopping we had a really good lunch. It was just me and Lotus and she was so friendly and kind explaining many Chinese things to me. The summer palace was the perfect recovery from the big lunch. Strolling through the lovely gardens and hearing the history was lovely. It was a perfect day one that I will never forget. Thank you so much for making my trip to the Great Wall so very special.

We discovered Beijing with the help of Lotus the tour guide. Lotus is professional instructor. We learned from her new and interesting things about China in general and Bigin and its sites in particular. In addition to Lotus's professionalism, she proved to be a pleasant and sensitive to our needs. Lotus speaks excellent English.

We booked 3 days sightseeing in Beijing with the usual Great Wall, Tianmen Sq, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Lama temple, Temple of Heavenly god,... Lotus (Lien) and her friend Alice were very nice and extremely knowledgeable. They not only were able to satisfy our hunger of knowledge and beautiful sights, but also our very fickle stomachs. We had 3 lunches and all recommendations were outstanding and inexpensive! Thank you again for a wonderful time, we’ll definitely use you again in the future! In 2 days my charming guide , Lotus managed to give me a well informed , clear introduction to China’s history .. facts and fascinating stories .. and guided me around Beijing’s landmarks transporting me back in time .She introduced me to little restaurants serving delicious local cuisine , was always punctual, flexible and had excellent time management . She prepared me for my 2 extra days alone in the city with a list of my destinations in Chinese.. essential as most taxi drivers don’t speak English and when I was unable to flag a cab ride back to my hotel from the Art Museum one late evening I sent her a WhatsApp and she immediately found a solution . She called me a cab on her app paying in advance and met me for tea after work the following day so I could pay her back.!!! Highly recommended !!

My daughter and I had a wonderful day on this tour. Our guide Robin was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. He also had very good grasp of English, which we could easily follow. I was informed of the plan of the tour 1 day in advance and everything happened perfectly according to plan. I would definitely plan a tour again with this company in the future😃

Because I had some friends who were taking me to the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace, I contacted Lotus to see if I could do a whole day at the wall. Lotus was very helpful and communicative when making my plans at the last minute when my friend could not get off work to tour the wall. So I spent the entire day at the Wall and then around to some lesser sites I had not seen before. Lotus was not able to do the tour because she needed to stay at home with her son, so she sent a very capable guide, Robin, to help me. Robin and I clicked immediately, and we had great conversations about culture, food, art, and education. Robin knew just how far to push me as well, as I am a NOT IN SHAPE middle aged woman traveling solo - but I really wanted to see the most of the wall. Robin encouraged me, and held my bags and camera, and took great pictures of my efforts! He went above and beyond as it began to rain, so we could not toboggan down, but instead suggested seeing Confucius' temple and some other sites. He was kind enough to take me to the train station and retrieve my tickets. Little did I not understand that the traffic was terrible, and he guided me all the way back to my hostel, waiting patiently until I could top up my WeChat to pay and tip him fully. He went above and beyond, and Lotus allowed him to help me get settled for the remainder of my 20 day trip in China. I will be back to Beijing, and I will contact Lotus again for other tours, and I have recommended her and Robin's services to travelers already. Robin takes groups of Chinese tourists to America, so hopefully, someday, we will meet again!

Our week business trip in China ended with a day tour to Forbidden Coty, Tiananmen Sq, Olympic Park and late lunch before our return flight. We were blessed to have Lotus as our guide on our last day in Beijing. She was very responsive to our needs, dedicated and energetic till end of day. Very good in her narration on Beijing history. Well recommended for our next trip.

My family of 4 spent 2 full days with Lotus. She and a driver picked us up at our hotel both mornings with a very comfortable air conditioned mini van with a supply of water. She was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about China’s history. Her English was perfectly clear. She was very patient with us as we stopped every few minutes to take a tons of photos. She scheduled a lunch spot for us both days and ordered all the most delicious choices. We would HIGHLY recommend her for your tour guide.

I was in Beijiing for a business trip and had one day free to see some sights Lotus, managed to fit in a trip to the great wall,amazing lunch a stroll accross Tiananmen square a guided tour of the Forbidden City and a trip to the pearl market to buy gifts for family. What a day I could not recommend Lotus more as a tour guide her knowledgeable about the sites we visited was incredible but with that she had a great sense of humour and made the whole day fun 5 stars!!!!

Lotus was a lot of fun, always finding the right balance between humor, lectures and silence. Easy recommandation!

We flew to Beijing at the start of our first ever trip to China - a bespoke 18-day itinerary arranged for us by a UK travel agent. Lotus Wong was waiting for us at the airport and escorted us to our hotel. Over the next few days she was always ready to accompany us on the pre-arranged tours, buy our entry tickets, provide information about the places visited, answer our questions and arrange for our driver to collect us and take us to the next place. She happily took photos of us and at the end of our stay she ensured that we got through station security in time for the train journey to our next destination. As we don't speak Chinese, we would happily recommend her services.
