What to expect
After a morning pickup from your hotel, you’ll travel in comfort in a private vehicle to Tiananmen Square. You’ll learn about China’s history by visiting the National Museum of China and the Great Hall of the People. A must-see site is Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum, and the Forbidden City.
A delicious dumpling lunch is provided at a local restaurant, and then the next stop is the Great Wall of China. To beat the crowds, you’ll go to a typically less-crowded part of the wall called Mutianyu. Once you’re at the Great Wall, you’ll have the freedom to hike for about two hours. Don’t worry about tired legs—you can travel by cable car halfway up to start your walk. For the ride down, you can choose cable car again or the more adventurous option of riding a toboggan. Great day from start to finish. Prompt pick Up from our hotel, then straight to Tiananmen Square. We then spent about an hour and a half in The Forbidden City. Our tour guide Lisa was very informative and interesting to listen to throughout our time in the Forbidden city. We then travelled in our private car to The Great Wall. On route we stopped for lunch at an authentic Chinese restaurant that was very busy due to it being 1 January. Food was good. Then onto The Wall. Lisa led the way and again told us lots of information about The Great Wall. We were here for about 2 hours. Could gave been longer but we chose not to go shopping there. Then back into the car for return journey back to our hotel.
We would highly recommend this private tour and Lisa.

Sherry did a fantastic job showing us some of the best and most important sights in Beijing. She had already booked tickets in advance and was able to help navigate us through various gates and QR codes, which made the tour much smoother, and she was extremely knowledgeable, interesting, and friendly. Seeing these sights was at least twice as enjoyable because she was there to explain them and make conversation with us. I strongly recommend a tour with Sherry. We had a great time at Christmas because of her.

We were met by our guide Sally at our hotel who outlined what we would do that day. Then it was off to Tiananmen Square followed by the Forbidden City. We then set off to see the Great Wall stopping for lunch enroute in an excellent local restaurant where Sally suggested our delicious menu selection. We avoided the market at the Great Wall and then onto the cable car to the wall itself. Sally stayed with my wife whilst I set off to walk the wall. Sally took us back to our hotel contented after a long, but very interesting day.

This tour was absolutely the BEST!! Sherry was our guide and she was phenomenal. She was so warm and friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She went above and beyond, not only providing amazing historical and cultural information but also giving us tips and suggestions for activities and restaurants for the rest of our trip. Our driver was also very professional and a skilled driver. We only had a short time in Beijing and this tour was perfect to check off the major attractions. It was a truly awe-inspiring day. In addition to the major sites, we also visited a Jade factory where we were able to shop in confidence that the items were real and high quality, and a tea shop where we got to have a tea tasting and purchase certified quality teas. These were just a few of the cool bonuses of the tour. This tour was easily the best day of our entire China trip and worth every single penny! If you get Sherry as your guide you will be very lucky!

Really well organised and interesting tour of Forbidden City and Great Wall. Jerry our tour guide was brilliant, so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable! Nothing was any trouble and he even organised vegetarian/vegan lunch for us (just let him know in advance). Really recommend to anyone wanting a stress free trip to these amazing places.

Linda was our guide and was very professional and informative. Most of the time her English was great but at times it was a little hard to understand her and I had to repeat what she said to my teenagers. But she gave a ton of great information, picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel, and the included lunch buffet was excellent. I think the best thing about this tour is that it includes the major hot spots in one trip. I thought we would be rushed because of how much we were seeing but I didn't feel that way at all. We had plenty of time to roam and wander. I will forever remember this trip!

My dad and I started a three week long trip with a stop in Beijing, as we've wanted to see the Great Wall for so long. We wanted to be sure we'd have proper guidance, all the information for a successful visit, and a personalized experience. We booked this company to accomplish all those things, and they exceeded our expectations. Lisa, our tour guide, was so kind and helpful. She had so much information for us, and answered any and all questions we may have had. She was willing and eager to take photos for us, of us, and had all the best tips of how to get a great shot. She knew where to take us up the wall where it would be less crowded, and we practically had it to ourselves! On our trip back from the wall, we stopped for refreshments and she bought us goodies! She was conversational, polite, helpful, and seemed to really enjoy her job. It made our experience one we will not forget. Knowing that we probably will not make another trip this far away, I'm so glad we had the day we had, with Lisa, and also the driver who was so kind as well. Great day, great tour!

You are cutting it close, unless you do as what the other answer said and skip the Square and Forbidden City to just do the Great Wall. I was picked up before 8 AM at the airport Hilton, did all three sites, and got back to the hotel around 18:00. The big variable is traffic, it was very busy going into the city, so you may not get to the Square until 10:00 and it takes a good 2 - 3 hours to walk through the Square and Forbidden City, another couple of hours drive to the Great Wall, and 1 - 2 hours drive back to the hotel.

I found them to be very accommodating and you can ask them about picking you up from your hotel near airport.

I will be arriving either Sunday night November 1, 2020 or Monday morning November 2. This tour will be good for Tuesday November 3. What do you have for Monday?

They have half-day tours, although I think those start in the morning, and you will have to arrange your own transportation to the meeting point. I would take the advice above, wait until the 3rd for a full day tour.

I shall arrive with family in Beijing at 12.00pm and my flight out is at 1.00am. A layover of 12 hrs plus. Can I take a sight seeing tour of 7 to 8 hrs in this time. Airport to Airport. Pls guide
Jeff Singewald

Definitely. While many tours start early in the day, just book a private tour and specify the timing you would like. You likely won’t be able to do this specific tour with all three sites due to hours of opening but you can definitely do the wall and likely T-square.

Tiananmen and the palace or next to each other so it is very doable in the morning. The afternoon is for the great wall. Its about an hour drive from the capital. Since you will have private luxury transport it is rather quite nice
