Overview
Live like a local in the city of Beijing on this private day tour. Using public transportation, visit Tiananmen Square, the largest central city square in the world; the Forbidden City, the former imperial palace from the Ming dynasty; and the Old Beijing Hutongs in the oldest part of the city.
What to Expect
After a hotel pickup/meet and greet with the tour guide, proceed to Tiananmen Square via subway. Enjoy roughly 40 minutes in this, the largest central city square in the world.

Next up, enjoy several hours in the Forbidden City, the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty. It currently features the Palace Museum, featuring 5,000 years of traditional Chinese art, with a focus on Ming and Qing architecture and artifacts.

For lunch (own expense), visit a nearby restaurant or family home to sample the local cuisine. Then head to the final stop for several hours of exploring in the oldest part of the city — the Old Beijing Hutongs.
