About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- garethh1710 contributionsCustomised Safaris with an excellent guideWe organised in advance two safari’s for our stay in Kenya with Flash McTours and both safaris left with us special memories. The communication at the beginning with Peter was very efficient with him listening to our needs and adapting the itinerary accordingly. Once payment had been made though, the communication wasn’t great and we needed to chase him. James, who was our guide for both trips, was extremely knowledgeable about the animals and birds and was happy to share this with us. He was also a first class driver, we felt safe travelling to and from Nairobi to the parks and when on safari, he was superb in getting a prime position. He also went out of his way, to ensure that our needs were met. Unfortunately we did break down once on our safari however, James made sure that we did not miss out on game time, it just meant that we did not have time to enjoy the facilities at the lodge. Despite these hiccups, I would recommend McFlash Tours and especially our guide, JamesWritten 19 January 2025
- P6124UQmaryb0 contributionsOnce in a Lifetime Safari ExperienceUnbelievable 3 day/2n safari with our guide Edward! Peter made planning extremely easy. Communication was great, and he was very accommodating. Arranging to pick us up from our Airbnb in Nairobi and at the end, and dropping us at our next destination in Naivasha. Our guide, Edward, has to be one of the very best in the game. He was able to spot animals without binoculars in a way that extremely impressed me. He went above and beyond to coordinate with other drivers to find all the big game for us- cheetah, lions, leopards, etc. He also taught us a ton, identifying 32 different species of animals for us. He is extremely knowledgeable and was very friendly. We researched high and low before making the decision to go with Flash McTours and are very glad with our choice. We highly recommend these guys and hope to be back soon!Written 17 January 2025
- Adventure415775134360 contributionsExcellent communication and driverCommunication was excellent from the beginning. Tour lead by Edward was a blast. His efforts to show us as many animals as possible were exceptional. Chasing the leopard was the highlight of our trip, so thank you Edward for making it happen!Written 16 January 2025
- MSanjeevY0 contributionsMaasai Mara with Africa Flash Mc Tours and TravelAfrica Flash Mc Tours are one of the best travel agents I have come across. They are very professional and go extra length to keep clients comfortable. Edward was our guide for both Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara and he made sure we spotted most of the flora and fauna. The hotels were luxurious and food was amazing. I would definitely recommend them.Written 15 January 2025
- kop_lena0 contributionsGreat organisation!Peter was a great contact person and organiser for our 3-day family safari (with one of us in a wheelchair) and Edward a great and helpful guide! Thank you for organising a wonderful trip!Written 15 January 2025
- Wtaylor11710 contributionsAmazing Safari and Zanzibar Group TripI worked with Peter on organizing a safari trip for a group. He was easy to work with my many demands. He customized a trip for my group that included an overnight stay at Giraffe Manor. Everything was seamless from arrival. We had the best tour guide, Simon. He was very knowledgeable and personable. He was very flexible and patient. I would definitely work with them again. Oh, they planned our Zanzibar part of the trip and that was seamless.Written 26 November 2024
- CRiseng0 contributionstrip of a life-timeThree of us booked a five day safari with Africa Flash Tours and we couldn't have been more happy. Flash Tours very flexible and adapted to our plans and the safari was well planned and supported. Their suggestions for places to stay and adventures were all perfect and of excellent quality. Our fantastic tour guide was Edward - he was knowledgeable, enthusiastic (as excited about seeing a Rhino as we were!), had great vision, a good sense of humor, and was an excellent driver. We couldn't have been more happy - this was an experience of a lifetimeWritten 18 November 2024
- deborahw870 contributionsHoliday Of A Life TimeOur 10 Day Two Nation (Kenya and Tanzania) safari with FlashMc was a dream come true. From the moment we arrived at Mt Kilimanjaro airport our excitement levels were on the rise. Met by the charismatic and super friendly Jason we were safely delivered to our Serana hotel where we enjoyed wonderful hospitality and were greeted with warm face towels and delicious tropical juice. Day 1 we were collected by our driver/guide Alan and received our briefing on what the day would involve which, as expected, was a long drive but a drive full of amazing sights from busy villages having market days, children heading off to school and the quintessential sight of the Masai farmers grazing their animals in the surrounding bush. They’re stunning brightly coloured Shukas visible from the vehicle as we drove into the Ngorongoro Conservancy area where our first wildlife encounter was a family of baboons including tiny little babies clinging tightly onto their mummas followed my a group of giraffes grazing happily on acacia trees. Our late afternoon safari in the Serengeti was our introduction to the wonderful animals we would see over the next three days. The image of a huge herd of elephants heading towards water and a large group of wallowing hippos slumbering in the shallows of a river bed was a bucket list moment. The vehicles on safari were fantastic, with comfortable seating and of course large windows and the pop up roof to facilitate incredible viewing opportunities. Alan did an amazing job securing fantastic vantage points for us to see animals up close and was in contact with other drivers on the two way radio to establish the locations of wildlife. Our accommodation at Kati Kati tented bush camp was brilliant and we could not have been closer to feeling a part of the magical Serengeti with grazing giraffes right outside the tent. The staff were incredibly friendly extending us wonderful hospitality and the food was absolutely fabulous. The whole team were great fun and we had lots of laughs. The Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater certainly delivered the Big 5 and so much more and we were mesmerised by the landscape and the beautiful creatures that call it home. It’s not hard to understand that the crater is often referred to as the “cradle of life”. It is a lush, green paradise that supports huge herds of zebra, wildebeest, elephants and incredible bird life. Alan was fantastic; he was a safe driver, always ensuring our comfort with lots of ablution stops ( a necessity for ladies over 50 😂), organised delicious packed lunches for safari including lots of water and answered our many questions. The border crossing into Kenya at Namanga was seamless with efficient immigration processing and it was there we met our Kenya driver/guide Edward. Greeted with a big smile and a briefing we made our way to Lake Amboseli where we spent two fabulous nights at the Kibo Safari Camp and experienced magical moments with more beautiful animals particularly the elephants complete with itty bitty babies who are obviously thriving in this beautiful park and it was a joy to see them safe and happy. We had a view of Mt Kilimanjaro right outside our accommodation and saw it so clear and uninterrupted later in the day as a back drop to great photos of a huge herd of elephants. The staff at the camp were lovely and made us feel very welcome. We loved the tented accommodation, food and the swimming pool after a day of driving on a warm day and the overall hospitality of Kibo camp. Lake Nakuru was like an oasis, teaming with animals and incredible bird life including flocks of stunning pink flamingoes, crested cranes and enigmatic Malibu storks. It was a was very special day for us as we got very close to a family of black rhinos including a wee baby grazing only 50 metres away. Our hearts almost stopped when the big male walked right in front of our vehicle to join his mate and calf. It was one of those”wow moments”. Ed knew all the right spots and got us the best vantage points to watch the splendour of Mother Nature from every angle. The Masai Mara did not disappoint and our 3 days there were nothing short of incredible. The Masai Mara Sopa Safari Camp was absolutely fantastic and again we were spoilt with amazing hospitality, great food, very comfortable accommodation and even zebras greeting us on the way to breakfast. Ed was a legend and listened to the two way radio to locate the best spots for our viewing and one morning we were treated to two big male lions feasting on a fresh wildebeest kill. Despite the blood and gore it was incredible to see the cycle of life and appreciate the balance of this special eco system and landscape. Ed has an amazing understanding and impressive knowledge of the flora and fauna of Kenya and he did a fabulous job answering the many questions we posed each day. We have all come away with a deeper love and appreciation of Kenya. Summing it all up, we had a life changing experience on our FlashMc safari and we were all very emotional coming through the gates of the Masai Mara park for the last time. A big thank you to Peter at FlashMc Mc HQ for coordinating our safari with professionalism and courtesy and a very special thank you to the wonderful Alan and Ed for delivering the safari holiday of a lifetime. Their experience, professional attitude, enthusiasm, thoughtfulness and kindness bestowed us a truly memorable trip and we now have beautiful memories to cherish of Tanzania and Kenya.Written 12 October 2024
- Dreamer7910640 contributionsGreat African safari experienceIt was my first African safari, my previous all safari tour was in south Asian and south east Asian. Big difference was extensive whole day safari, abundance of different animals found rarely in south and south east Asia. My tour was 6 days masaimara- lake nakuru and amboseli. Owner Peter was very kind to solve any problem encounter during our tour (I find him he is a great music lover during conversation with my child). My guide and driver Simon is a great entertainer, very charming person, very knowledgeable about African wildlife take us appropriate place in appropriate time, he is also try to make me happy when I was worried about my rest of family in Bangladesh ( In that time our country was experience a mass people movement against fallen government and mass extrajudicial killing) . Accommodation was average and Wi-Fi quality was not good, the journey from Nakuru to Amboseli was hectic but we also cover some part of Naivasha on the way . But compare our great safari experience it is not countable and we are happy with our overall experiences. Thank you very much to Africa Flash Mc to give us such a great experience, I have plan to visit other African country in futureWritten 17 September 2024
- Sg3720170 contributionsSafari experience of a lifetime !It had been my dream to travel to the national parks in Kenya and see Africa's rich wildlife including the Big Five (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard). I am glad that I chose Africa Flash Mc Tours & Travel. I first found them through safaribookings.com. They had good reviews and their contact person Peter was responsive from the start regarding my inquiries on their 5 day private safari package covering Amboseli, Nakuru and Masai Mara. Though a bit on the expensive side for us, it seemed to meet our requirements in terms of the itinerary as well as the accommodations and so we booked it about three months in advance with 50% of the payment made at the time of booking and the remaining 50% completed closer to the start date of our safari. The safari vehicles provided during the tour were 4X4 Land Cruisers which is what you need for navigating the terrain in these parks. The top part of these vehicles can be opened during game drives for proper wildlife viewing and photography. We had two excellent tour guides cum drivers, Jackson and Simon, who left no stone unturned to help us spot and identify the different wildlife around us, and went above and beyond to cater to the needs of our family during the tour. I told them that we love to see all the wildlife but my favorite one was the leopard which is the hardest to spot among the Big Five. During the five days of safari we spotted more than thirty different species of animals and birds, including elephants at Amboseli, rhinos and buffaloes at Nakuru and cheetahs and lions in Masai Mara. The crowning moment was perhaps our encounter in Masai Mara with the elusive leopard - a female and her cub, thanks to Simon who was our driver and guide for Masai Mara. It was the last of the Big Five that we spotted and Simon was absolutely determined to make sure that we did not leave Masai Mara without seeing the leopard. The accommodations provided during the tour were all consistent with those described in the itinerary. They were comfortable and provided the much treasured experience of living in luxury tented camps situated inside the parks (Flamingo Hill Camp at Nakuru and Mara Sopa in Masai Mara) or in the proximity of park entrance (Kibo Lodge at Amboseli). Lying down on a comfortable bed at night inside the tented camps and falling asleep while listening to sounds of all the wildlife around is an experience in itself that all safari lovers will cherish. The spreads at all the buffets were amazing and the boxed lunches provided during the day game-drives were thoughtfully put together keeping in mind our dietary preferences (we had one vegetarian in our family). In summary, I was blown away by the experience we had during the tour: clearly one of the best that we have ever taken. I would give them 10 out of 5 stars if that were possible !Written 3 September 2024
- Edward T0 contributionsA life changing and incredible family holiday that created memories that will last a life time! From start to finish Peter and the team were incredible. From coordinating the initial safari, through to giving additional options to make the trip even more memorable. The three options we added were: 1: Hot air balloon over the Masai Mara at dawn - though it was an early start (4 am) it was an absolutely awesome experience. It was expensive, but worth every penny. The breakfast set up in the Masai Mara afterwards was superb and far beyond our expectations. 2. Masaai Village - we went to this in the morning before heading to Lake Nakuru. It was really wonderful to see a genuine operating Masaai village and to see the dancing and get explanations about how they live. There is a very commercial feel to it at the end as the Masaai try to tap you for money and the elements at the end that you can buy were all massively over priced in comparison to every other place, but if you see it as part of the price of entry, which we did, then it’s fine. But be prepared for a hard sell! 🙂 3. Lake Nivasha and Crescent Island - this is a very reasonable optional extra which is also a lovely way of breaking up the homeward journey to Nairobi. You start with a small boat tour around this incredibly beautiful lake and great opportunity to see hippos and fish eagles. We witnessed the fish eagle swoop down and make a catch. After that you go to Crescent Island where you take an hour long walking tour where you are within a few feet of giraffe, zebra, impala and more. Just wonderful. So in this not very short review, I can say that this has been an incredible experience and we have been blessed by it. We saw the big 5, the ugly 5, and so many more… A HUGE thank you has to go to Edward our guide. By the end of the first day he was part of the family, patient, knowledgeable, fun, and a wonderful guide who knew each park like the back of his hand. I only gave this 5 stars because there is no way to give it 10. Thank you so much!Written 30 August 2024
- renrutkcin0 contributions5-star treatment throughout our safari – guide/driver, accommodation, safari jeep & communicationWhat a great holiday experience! From the moment of booking – which always feels nerve-racking when you book from abroad – to the drop off at our airport hotel at the end of our safari, Africa Mc Tours & Travel have excelled at their job. Peter's communication, from our first email onwards, was swift, informative and helpful – even when our itinerary needed to be tweaked. Anthony (our driver/guide) was a pleasure to be with and became a sixth member of the family over the four days we spent with him. And everything else, including accommodation & food, safari jeep and Anthony's knowledge of the animals and birds, was excellent (and he even found us elephants when noise of the wildebeest had send them into the hills!). As a family group, travelling with children and my retired mum, we couldn't have been better looked after. I would not hesitate to recommend Peter, Anthony and the whole team at Africa Flash Mc Tours & Travel to other travellers.Written 27 August 2024
- Culture383213911700 contributionsUnforgettable safari round tripWe had an unforgettable 9-day, 8-night safari experience across Kenya and Tanzania, covering the highlights of the Great Migration. The itinerary was perfectly arranged, allowing us to explore iconic destinations like Maasai Mara, Northern and Central Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Amboseli. Our travel assistant, Yvonne, was incredibly patient and ensured everything ran smoothly. Our guides, Simon and Bakary, were attentive and knowledgeable, making our journey even more enjoyable. Although we encountered a few minor issues along the way, they were quickly resolved, thanks to the team's professionalism. Overall, it was a fantastic trip that captured the essence of the wildlife migration. We look forward to returning and continuing our exploration in the future.Written 18 August 2024
- B8867VQdaniels0 contributionsHighly recommend - great experienceI initially struggled to decide whether to book with a specialized European travel agency, or a local provider. At the end I went for Flash McTours and never regretted it one minute. I communicated with Peter, the owner, which was easy and professional. He put together our dream itinerary; we visited Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, and Masai Mara. We traveled as a family of 5, and everything went perfectly well. The camps were amazing, especially at Nakuru (Cliff) and Masai Mara (Entim). Our driver/guide was called Anthony. He's super knowledgable, friendly, and a great/safe driver. His English is excellent, and he made an extra effort to engage with our kids. He was with us for the entire trip, and made our vacation extra special. The safari jeep was spacious, comfortable, and clean. I would 100% book with Peter again, and will recommend him to friends and family for a Kenya vacation.Written 17 August 2024

We had a wonderful safari with Africa Flash McTours, seeing absolutely everything we could have wished for, including two leopards in a tree with some prey - a real treat! Peter was straightforward to deal with over emails before and after we booked (though occasionally a little slow to reply), and our driver John was an excellent, friendly, flexible guide and an unflappable character. In the interests of balance, I should mention a couple of minor issues. Some of the seat-belts in our safari bus were broken and the bus itself, while generally fine, was quite old and more importantly only two-wheel drive, which meant we got completely stuck in loose sand in Samburu twice (admittedly though, Samburu was extremely dry and dusty after a period of drought). This meant we missed one game drive, though overall we saw so much incredible stuff that we were not left ruing the drive that got away! Overall, Peter's packages offer good value for money and on a week-long trip you can almost guarantee seeing most of the wildlife that you're hoping to see. For example, we saw lions on four separate occasions, cheetahs twice, giraffes and elephants we lost count, plus black and white rhinos, and much more. Be aware that if you're driving from Nairobi to Masai Mara at the start of your trip, the road is VERY bumpy for a big chunk of this journey. The rest of the roads you experience on the trip are a bit better, so by day two you'll be well accustomed to the bumpiness and it won't affect your enjoyment. However, the amount of time that drives took were generally around an hour longer than we'd been told to expect, so it's worth factoring this in. The accommodations that Peter booked us into massively exceeded our expectations - some stunning and very comfortable locations. Pretty impressive to stay in these places at this price, an upside perhaps of tourism being a little quieter than normal in Kenya at the moment.
Would definitely recommend this company - you'll have a fantastic time. Thanks to Peter and John!

I travel to see things in person that are just not available in my small piece of the world. This trip was specifically to see animals in the wild that I have only been able to see in zoos. I did some research into companies that provide safari/game riding experiences. I chose Africa Flash McTours and Travel because of other reviews and the speed and quality of communication from them.
I gave them my wish list and was given two choices of tours: one ‘regular’ and the other a ‘luxury’ option. The options were accompanied by a full list of what to expect from each day. Inclusion and exclusions for each day and prices. I chose the regular option and was able to place a deposit and pay off the vacation over a few months.
The most stress inducing part of the trip was from the travel from the U.S.A to Kenya and back again. I flew in a couple days early to enjoy a full day in Nairobi. The company picked me up from my hotel on day one of the vacation, because of airline issues we had to go to the airport and pick up my luggage that did not arrive with me (ugh! Airlines). However, James (my guide) was happy and optimistic. He somehow was able to get my baggage released early and we were off to Masi Mara.
Each camp was better than the last and the food was fantastic at each. Those were perks of the trip.
The viewings were literally AWESOME. If you have heard of an animal in the area, then I think I was able to view it. James (my guide) was absolutely the best at spotting them. He was in contact with others on the savanna to be sure any animal I had not seen yet could be found. He had facts about each species and explained behaviors that we watched. Each evening James gave me an overview of the next day’s agenda.
James was more than a tour guide. He was an ambassador. Not only did he make sure I was able to view everything available, but he also explained some of the customs of the people and told me when the quality of souvenirs were below average. He accompanied me for almost everything and even made sure I ate (noting when he did not see me in the dining areas). I was given information about aggressive sales tactics and information to understand why they may be so insistent.
The last day of my trip, my flight out was early evening so there was actual time to spare. I was offered many options to fill that time. I was not expecting this as I am an American and expected the company to be through with me. Having a bit of down time before the stress of travel was a welcome relief.
This trip was more than just national parks and wild animals. Listening and watching I was able to gain a little understanding of the people.
Travelling tips to others: bring cash. You will need it. ATMs are only in towns, and you are far from them.
I do plan on going back and I will be using this company when I travel. The way they attended to details I would not have thought of was wonderful. I was kept informed every step of the journey and felt treated as a guest. This was an amazing trip, and it would not have been as exceptional without African Flash Mctours and James.
Asante sana!
