        A Day To Remember
My once and a lifetime experience led by Mostafa is one I will never forget. From the camel ride to the cruise, the trip really hit every aspect of what I was looking for. With special help from my guide, we did even more then what was posted, getting the real cultural feel of Egypt. Would 100% do this when I come back again!

        Book now - great experience!
We had such a great tour with our guide Mimo and our driver Ahmed (who did so well in the busy Cairo streets!) Mimo is so knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions, as well as provide lots of background history and information at the pyramids and in the Egyptian Museum. Lunch was great & we were given lots of water on the hottest day of the year - definitely book this tour!

        Sameh is the best!
We had an amazing time with Sameh! He took the time to educate us all things Egypt. His passion for Egyptology translated to us becoming scholars as well. He walked us through the history of the pyramids and of Egypt thoroughly. He made sure that we stayed hydrated and fed throughout the tour. Thank you so much for making our trip memorable Sameh!

        Fantastic! Thank you Fatema 🤩
We had a brilliant day with Fatema as our guide, she was AMAZING! Her knowledge of Egyptian history was excellent and our tour was great, but the highlight was really having her as our guide. Very easy to talk to and such a warm, friendly person. She interacted with our 2 year old as if she were family, pushed her in the stroller and even carried her around (which is no mean feat at 16kg 😂). Our toddler simply loved Fatema too - she even gave her a kiss when we were leaving. This might not sound like much, but our daughter is hesitant even with family she hasn't seen for a while, so to see her want to cuddle up to someone new, laugh with them and show so much affection was incredible. Thank you so much, Fatema, it was such a pleasure to meet you and have you as our guide!

        Amazing must-do trip
We did the pyramids and sphinx on a half day tour. We didn't do Sakkara. Excellent tour of the pyramids and sphinx. Our tour guide Mona met us at the hotel and helped us get tickets for the complex. She gave us a really interesting history of the pyramids and took some brilliant photos of us. We went inside the Great Pyramid - which was very airless but amazing to climb. Mona took us to see the other two pyramids and also the smaller ones, and then to a spot for some panoramic shots. Lastly we visited the sphinx. An excellent half day trip - packed with things to see and with an excellent guide.

        Great knowledgeable guide
Kyrllos our guide was great- very knowledgeable (he has even published his own egyptology books). We did a private tour and was definitely worth it for the flexibility with the itinerary, and you can make the most of Kyrllos' experience and knowledge base. Do have a chat about entry fees as most are included but you are able to visit a few extra places so long as you pay for the ticket on the day (such as going inside the Giza pyramids). Overall made our trip to Giza and Cairo very memorable!

We would highly recommend traveling with Travel Door Tours and especially having Wael as a guide. It has been a flawless experience from one day before the trip, when Wael checked in with us about the tour, until he dropped us off at the hotel. Wael is extremely knowledgeable, so you will get an “amazing tour” through the history of Egypt and can get any tiny detail you may want to know. He has a great energy and passion for his job, and you can tell that he really enjoys being with people, which makes the tour even more enjoyable. He is also very flexible/adaptable - e.g., we modified our tour on the fly (decided to add Dahshur even though it was not in our original plans) and wanted to stop by in a few “off the tour” locations, and Wael just made it happen; he never rushed us but we somehow covered all the sights. He has organized everything to the smallest detail. We travel a lot and all in all, this was definitely a great experience (and great price!). We would travel with Wael again in a heartbeat.

Great tour with our guide Ibrahim, him and the driver picked us up on time, despite booking only the night before.

The tour was interesting, Ibrahim had a lot of knowledge and amazing photography skills!

He even took us to some extra stops at the end, museum of etherical oils and papyrus, and it wasn't a problem that we didn't wish to buy anything there.

Overall very good and I would recommend it!

One thing to mention is that you are also advised to tip the guide of the camels at the end, wish raises the price of the trip slightly.

We are well traveled and don’t usually hire guides, but we loved our tour with Khalefa so much that we did not hesitate to book another one tomorrow to go to Saqqara/Memphis/Dahshur. He was just super — knowledgeable about the site and its history, hospitable in taking many photos of us at the best spots, patient when we wandered off or lingered on our own, and even helpful bargaining vendors’ prices down. We had the most delicious meal of camel liver, kefta kebab, and grilled chicken at an authentic local restaurant (extra) in lieu of the expensive Western style restaurants other guides frequent. Our guide was a lovely host!

My husband and I came to Egypt on our honeymoon. This was one of the best tours we have done. We usually do tours by ourselves but we knew the pyramids in Cairo was one we definitely needed a professional guide.

From the beginning everything was great - easy booking, great communication, and prompt arrival time at our 8:00 am pickup.

Our tour was led by Mohamed who was so professional, experienced, and made us feel so comfortable from the start! He welcomed us into his beautiful country with open arms and you could tell how proud he was of his culture. We learned so much about the history and honestly our tour was so relaxing. Such a cool experience cruising around to the different spots and the car had air and water. Super comfortable! Mohammed truly knew his way around to avoid crowds, which made our experience so enjoyable. We got to one of the pyramids (one of the only with hieroglyphics inside) and there was no one there so we got to soak it all up. He was very accommodating to our needs and what we needed, he was very professional in doing so!

We would recommend this tour to our family and friends + would do this tour again if we came back. Highlight of Cairo!

What a cool experience of a lifetime, led by Mohammed who has no idea how much this meant to us!

This tour is AMAZING! I would advise anyone visiting the Giza plateau to take a guided tour, and highly recommend this one. Our guide Mostafa was not only very knowledgeable about the site history, but also a very nice person and excellent photographer. He guided us through the pyramids, waited while we went inside the pyramid of Khufu, then took us to a nice panoramic view of the plateau, where we took a short (but very sufficient) camel ride, with some very nice pictures. Then we went to the sphinx and He gave a lot of nice insights about its history too. We then went to 4 different stores, a perfume/essencial store, a papyrus store, a souvenir/jewelery store and a clothing store. On the first 2 we got explanations on how the perfume glasses and papyrus were produced. Mostafa made it very clear we had no obligation to buy anything, and we didn't feel pressured by the stores' workers too (and in the end bought two beautiful papyrus for a good price!). He gave us the option of skipping some of the stores too, but we wanted to go and take a look. He also made sure we weren't bothered by insistent salespeople too much. Lunch was nice, we ate koshari on a good, but simple restaurante. Maybe not everybody's cup of tea, but we enjoyed. Our driver (also named Mostafa) was also very nice and made us feel safe on Cairo's traffic (which can be overwhelming for outsiders). We were picked at the airbnb with punctuality and the tour took about 6 hours total, but I guess it depends on what people are Wellington to do. Again, i highly recommend this tour and, if possible, book it with Mostafa!

Looked for a good tour for a while, guide Gamil was spectuacular. If you are looking good value and an excellent guide, this is your tour.

There are some things to point out clearly:

      1. The tour does not include entrance to the pyramids. This you buy outside and are different than the entrance fees.
      2. The tour includes two unplanned visits before the meal with the purpose of selling products: (1) To an oil shop where they sell scented oil and (2) a papyrus shop where they sell pieces of art. We did buy something from the papyrus shop and enjoyed the experience, but overall we feel you could get a better price for papyrus somewhere else. If you book this tour, talk about these visits beforehand.
      3. Be mindful that places start closing earlier in Ramadan.

We spent around 2 hours and a half looking at the pyramids, lunch was brought to us after leaving the papyrus shop. Camel ride was nice (around 15 minutes), but guide was the best part. Excellent photographer too!

The perfect way to see the pyramids! The guide Mohammed was kind and very knowledgable!

We got to do what we wanted on the tour, and afterwards got to see how papyrus is made in an optional visit. (Perfume was another option.)

Short camel ride with a guide who took as many pictures of us as we wanted with our camera with the pyramids in the background.

We paid 450 egp per person extra to go inside the largest pyramid. Not much to see, and a decent work out for the legs and back, but still worth it to have been in the middle of the greatest pyramid in the world!

Most importantly: We had a wonderful half day with a very charming, kind and knowledgable guide! We would choose Mohammed again any day!

Ahmed was an awesome tour guide! Very friendly, always provided great historical information, was a great photographer and we felt very safe with him. Pickup and drop off from hotel was very convenient! Ahmed also took us to awesome local lunch spots as well and some local papyrus, oils and hieroglyphs shops. Would highly recommend booking with him and definitely doing more tours with him when back in Egypt :)

Seeing the Pyramids of Giza for the first time is one of the most memorable experiences I have had in my life. We were conveniently picked up from the airport, after a small issue finding the tour guide and driver. Our driver, Abdu, was very good and always drove in a manner that made us feel safe (or as safe as you can feel being driven in Egypt). The car was comfortable with a/c in the back and had accessible seatbelts unlike some of the other vehicles we’ve encountered on our Egyptian adventure.

Our guide, Ahmed, was a fantastic guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about Egyptian history. He was also very happy to answer any of the many questions we had about Egyptian culture in general. Furthermore, to our surprise, he was also extremely adept at taking photographs with my phone, happily taking many many photos of us that were far better than anything we could’ve achieved without him. I guess working as a Giza Pyramids tour guide gets you a lot of experience taking photos of people. We found him to be the best guide we’ve had so far on our trip.

We were taken to the pyramids, and given plenty of time to admire, look around and take lots of photos. We then did camel riding, which was a worthwhile experience, but not something I would necessarily say is a must. We then saw the Great Sphinx and after were taken to a papyrus (I think that’s how you spell it?) paper shop where they showed us how it is made and were selling many interesting unique had drawn pictures which made a nice gift. Finally we were taken to a restaurant and Ahmed was happy to give us recommendations for restaurants that would fit our very specific requirements.

I would highly recommend booking this experience, if the other guides and drivers are even half as good as Abdu and Ahmed you will be in for an absolute treat.

We decided to get a tour guide for our visit to the pyramids to alleviate the stress of knowing what to do, and vendors bothering us. It was also amazing to get more information on what we were seeing. This tour is very affordable and completely worth the money. We saw the pyramids, the sphinx and rode camels on the plateau! Once we were done at the Giza Pyramids, our tour guide took us to a perfume shop where we tried out scents and had lots of information about the products they use and their benefits. We then went to a certified papyrus shop which had so many different types of art to choose from! We finished the tour by having an authentic Egyptian lunch. Our guide and driver were both very friendly and spoke very good English. Our guide also knew lots about ancient Egypt which was fascinating to listen to. I would highly recommend this to anybody that is interested in seeing the pyramids without stress!
