- Adel B0 contributionsMy trip in GizaI thank my friends for this enjoyable trip. I was able to see the Pyramids of Giza and the Step Pyramid of Saqqara, and my friend Sherif helped me find out information about them and explained to me their origins and their importance to the ancient Egyptians. He took me to Memphis, the first and most ancient capital in Egypt, and we wanted to eat falafel. It was an additional service, and the Egyptian food is really amazingWritten 7 January 2025
- kerasopinion0 contributionsGreat tour guide on the Nile!I was part of a small group tour and we did a Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan. Khaled was our tour guide and he was excellent! If you are able to catch this man as a tour guide, you are in luck. He is very passionate and knowledgable about ancient Egypt. This man holds two masters degrees associated with ancient Egypt and loves to share what he knows with curious folks. The cruise was lovely. The food on the boat was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this Nile Cruise and tour guide to anyone looking to see the Nile, enjoy themselves and learn about ancient Egypt.Written 25 November 2024

He worked hard to take care of our every need, give us special treatment and take us beyond the usual boundaries of the places we visited. He has a sense of humour too.Written 27 September 2024
- J3262WXamyb0 contributionsLuxor to AswanWe had a great time with our guide, Khaled. He is very experienced & incredibly knowledgeable. He brought us to key features of the temples and tombs on our tour. He provided insights about ancient Egyptian history, culture, religion, architecture, language, art, politics and more. He always worked to accommodate us, and provide us with the best tour possible. Thank you for an unforgettable experience, Khaled!Written 25 September 2024
- Sherpa359023085860 contributionsTravelling through EgyptWe did a lot of nice activities such as riding a camel and sleeping in the white desert. The temples are wonderful and they have a beautiful culture and history. The guides also know what they are talking about and are very passionate about their country.Written 15 September 2024
- 650willemh0 contributionsGreat time in EgyptThe ancient monuments are amazing! Everybody can look at photos, but it is only when you see it in real life you can truely marvel at it! How did the people of the past build all of this (knowing that also a BIG part is missing) ?! The guide will tell you that this would not be possible today. Well, it is ... but nobody will try this today with primitive tools. The people of the past did have a different mindset, try to understand the mind of the ancient Egyptians. Some tips: prepare for the heat, don't pay attention to those who are trying to sell things to you, and things can be a bit more expensive than you think (but you're making a trip like this only once!).Written 15 September 2024
- Wander547852511430 contributionsRelaxingWhen you're ok with paying for 'extras' during the trip, it's nice. Travelling with a larger group, it could add up... Guide knows what he's talking about and is crazy about his culture.Written 15 September 2024

Amazing trip. Took overnight sleeper train from Cairo to Luxor. Train got in early so Hani Yassin, our tour guide who was waiting at the platform suggested we try and get to the hot air balloons. This was amazing as we just got there in time to get the sunrise balloon - a dram for my wife we thought we would miss! Then great time with useful information and also very flexible with our needs. Even going vegan food for us (and did this on the house!) driver Imad was very professional throughout. We finished off at Luxor and even saw it lit up on way to return sleeper train back to Cairo.
Both my wife and I would highly recommend this team and also have them arrange your travels as they are the real deal!

This is an experience. This is why you travel overseas to see and “live” the way of the locals. Be warned, this is the most expensive and oldest train trip in Egypt, it’s not comfortable, nor clean. The windows are scratched and not so easy to see out of or take photos through. The meals are as “good” as aeroplane food. The ‘social” carriage is smoker friendly and the rooms are cramped, but we loved it. Admittedly we did have air freshener and Dettol wipes (which I highly recommend) to help us through and BYO toilet paper is a smart move. But for the experience, I really rate this train trip. Going though the townships, seeing the people and animals of Egypt and enjoying the countryside was fabulous. Having said that, I was glad our return trip was in a bus.

Sayed our guide was great. Very friendly and knows everything about ancient Egypt. He’s also very flexible and happy to change the plans to accommodate us (it was a very hot day so he planned around the heat and stopped extra times for water etc). He stayed with us after the tour finished, even waiting for us while we ate something near the train station and then never left until we were on board the train. A great day.

Overall an amazing experience! Peter was helpful, Ayman was diligent on getting us to the train station, and Khaled El Saady immediately picked us up at the train station with no delays. Khaled is a great tour guide! Khaled is an Egyptologist who can explain every part of history in detail for everything that we visited. Also Khaled took us to a very pleasant Egyptian restaurant for lunch and always made sure we were good on water. What we also enjoyed was Khaled’s cousin who had authentic alabaster and onyx rock right there in Luxor! Everything was great and we definitely recommend!

We had a great time on the tour. We were able to see many great historical sites. Our tour guide, khaled was very knowledgeable about the history to each location we visited. We had a tasty lunch on the Nile and enjoyed tea while cruising on the boat. It was a great day and would highly recommend this tour.

We enjoyed our tour with Sayed. He was a very kind man with a lot of knowledge. However, at times, we struggled to hear him, and found that he may not have understood our follow up questions.

We arrive to Cairo airport 4:45pm on March 8. Is that enough time to get picked up and to the train? That's the only day we could do with our schedule. Just wondering if not enough time?
