- 249mohammedz0 contributionsEnjoyable breakfastBake bar was very satisfying, we enjoyed the stay and the food was very delicious. The setup was very clean and calming. A highly recommended breakfast in town. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Overall experience was great!Written 22 November 2024
- zicoe20210 contributionsAffordable and quickI was never communicated with beforehand for this tour. Ten minutes before pickup time, I asked reception at my hotel to call them and they said they were on their away. Arrived ten minutes late and took the group to the atv pickup. We booked 7 bikes and 3 of them cut off during use. One of my friends was being driven by a younger boy and when she asked him to slow down he didn't listen. Other than that the experience was ok.Written 2 October 2024
- debaser20150 contributionsDelving into Ancient Egypt's historyThanks to Semon and Basma I had an amazing experience today as I learned a lot about Egypt's ancient history and saw the most important landmarks around the Giza complex area. Highly recommended!Written 14 August 2024
- Silk44w0 contributionsA simply amazing tour with certified shops, the sights and food included!Well what can I say about this tour! They take you around the pyramids of Giza, Sphinx, Memphis and the pyramids of Saqqara! You can chose to go inside at Saqqara which is amazing in its own right. The food was amazing! Although I did say a tour recently did excessive shops these guys kept it to a minimum and awesome shops were included too. Thank you Emo Tours 😊Written 23 May 2024
- E5517KPbobe0 contributionsPyramid WondersWonderful day. Our guide Andrew was great! Very knowledgeable & happy to answer all questions Pyramid related or not. Both he & Abdullah our driver made our day very special & nothing was too much trouble for them. Excellent lunch provided.Written 28 March 2024
- Kendy S0 contributionsExploring beyond Giza a not to be missed experience!A great experience made ever better by our tour guide Wael Saber and GEM Explore Egypt tour company. Wael is extremely knowledgeable and made history very relevant. We side tracked in Saqqara to one of the carpet schools. Our lunch was at a lovely outdoor restaurant. We had a chance to see the differences in the pyramids in a relaxed and unhurried manner. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.Written 24 March 2024
- vaseemg0 contributionsGreat Trip! Great Guide!Great day out! Great value! With so many choices to book trips offered through hotel, websites and travel shops it’s hard to know which one is going to be the best and really give you the best value. As a tourist you’re always at risk at being scammed! I have to say that I’m glad I booked through Trip Advisor with Emo Travel who were brilliant! The price was reasonable and we had a great time with the very informative Jessy our tour guide and aur excellent driver who managed to drive around without any dramas. If you’ve been on the road you’ll appreciate it’s not easy to manage the driving here. Jessy has a very bubbly personality and gave us lots of information on the tour. She also takes great pictures at the right places and managed to keep the street vendors away from us so there was no hassle. Excellent trip throughout and a great lunch stop at a lovely restaurant which served a buffet so well with opting for the lunch included option.Written 15 February 2024
- Passenger7684850 contributionsAmazing history surrounding CairoPicked up at our hotel and transported to many sites across Cairo. Full day with our guide Omar Jumah and driver Ihab. Driver did an amazing job getting us through all the crazy Cairo traffic and up and around through Giza. Our guide was very informative, easy to understand, repeated things to help us in remembering details and was always willing to help capture moments with us at all or our stops. Too many amazing sites to describe each one. Saqqara was a highlight, with the step pyramid and seeing some of the tombs. The Great Pyramid of Giza and the Sphinx are amazing. It's so incredible to experience these locations that over 4000 years old. The papyrus shop was well worth it, very educational. Feel free to pick and choose these stops, we chose not to do a couple.Written 15 February 2024
- I8708FCjuliay0 contributionsThe good the bad and the uglyTrip to Cairo from hurgarda, with pyramid tours net. The price is only 55 euros so we expected the travel to be basic. We travelled in a mini bus by night. The drivers were brilliant the conditions cramped . That aside we had a Nile boat ride and lunch on a restaurant , extra cost. Was a nice start. Then onto the Egyptian museum of antiquities. This was rushed so much we hardly had time to take a photo , we had twenty mins left to our own devices and then had to leave. So much was left unseen or unexplained.. so next stop was a perfume oil shop ... Which was a hard sale situation and a waste of valuable time. Then onto the pyramids , extra cost for a camel ride and entrance , was amazing to see , but again so rushed ,... A few photos about half hour and gone. Then to the sphinx ... Literally time for a photo and loo and gone again .. The tour guide actually suggested we not go to the sphinx she was cold. We put our foot down there . The guide also advised to not go Inside pyramids There was no time anyway... But then took us to a paper making shop ! Again would rather have taken more time at the pyramids or sphinx .... Cairo my childhood dream was so amazing and has live up to my expectations , I have seen these iconic places ,but not experienced them . It spoilt the experience.Written 4 February 2024
- Markwayne07150 contributionsthey limit our timeMe and my travel buddy took this tour last September. Our tour guide is Mohammed. He is very knowledgeable and very pleasant with us. He even helped us in how to avoid being scammed by the people selling their items in one of the souvenir shops. The tour is someone satisfactory because of lack of time. Mohammed did not follow the exact time allotted to every tourist sites. We could have stayed longer in the Pyramids and the Sphinx,. He was always in a hurry and we don't even have much time taking pictures because he kept on reminding us to leave which in fact its not yet the time to leave. Only to find out that he wants us to go to the stores (perfumes, papyrus, clothing and carpet stores). it has no proper transparency at all. those tours are not even included in the itinerary when I booked it via Viator. Don't get me wrong, I also love to shop but I don't like the idea of limiting our time in the tourist spots like Pyramids and the Sphinx just to go to the shops and to consume our remaining time there. Another thing I noticed, we had limited time at Pyramids but when we were at the shops, Mohammed didn't even bother to limit our time there nor reminded us that its time to leave the shops.Written 17 October 2023

- 507larissaa0 contributionsconvenient, but mediocre. Lunch option not good.It was a convenient tour if you want to be driven to relevant places privately. The guide was alright, however, it was 15:45 when we reached Sphinx area and we were first told we could not enter because there would not be enough time, as the site would close at 16:00. Then, when we insisted we would like to give it a try, we were told that area was closed and entrance was permitted only for VIPs, although we could clearly see regular tourists were inside. We gave up insisting because we were tired. In addition, if you are a vegetarian, DO NOT take the additional for lunch. They served me rice, cold pasta and fries. My carnivore travel buddy did not like the meat that was served either.Written 28 September 2023
- daviator3210 contributionsBuyer, be aware of of games they may playTrip Advisor connected me with EMO tours. Tour guide was knowledgeable however I believe short on integrity. I purchased the tour of the pyramids inclusive of entry fees. However at 2 sites I was told that I needed to pay with my Visa for entry and even paid for car parking at 3rd stop. Tour guide told me he would reimburse me later in EGP.. My expectation was that the tour company would pre-purchase tickets, and certainly parking for the sites, so we wouldn’t have to deal with lines or credit card payment- only requirements…. otherwise, why even have that pre-purchase option?.... At conclusion of tour when I mentioned his failure to reimburse me, he fumbled an excuse that he forgot yet still shorted me the difference. Also, he seemed disinterested in his client.. at lunch he sat with driver leaving me alone… that’s fine, I’m an adult, however I did notice the other guides in the room sat with their clients, explaining what the particular dishes were.. My feeling was that the guide was trying to scam me by pocketing the entry fees.. The final straw that disappointed me was the fact that tour operators invariably build in shopping at stores /“factories” that give them kickbacks.. That’s why I opted for a private tour vs cattle bus where clients have no choice from itinerary deviations… upon entry in first shop, tour guide told me prior to entry that I had no obligation to purchase anything … but when I came out of the wC and wanted to leave, tour guide said he didn’t want to offend the shop manager… Second shop was even worse with high pressure sales gal… Tour guide seemed to prioritize steering guests to shops, meanwhile spending only a fraction of the time at important sites like the sphinx. My recommendation to other tourists….avoid pre-purchase entry fee option as it can be used by tour operator to scam you….., And if doing a private tour…. Make absolutely clear That You DO NOT Want to SHOP in any of their stores…Written 13 September 2023
- Bola S0 contributionsGreat value tour with lovely guide.Great tour. Our guide Tonsi and driver Saeed were great. Tonsi was knowledgeable about all of the sights. He gave us the option to visit perfume, papyrus and carpet maker shops but no pressure selling ( we opted not to visit them ). We had a great lunch too. Considering all the sights we visited and the lunch included, the tour was great value for money and I would recommend it to anyone.Written 11 July 2023
- Alfredo A0 contributionsMy Dream Come true🙏The tour was completed as described in Viator🙏 Asmma was very welcoming and very informative. Her energetic enthusiasm was maintained throughout the day. Ibrahim our driver is very young safe and friendly driver. He was very attentive to our needs(e.g. water provider and opening of car doors). The tour was my dream come true😘 The only somewhat uncomfortable part was the part where we were introduced to the “essential oils”.Written 10 July 2023
