- elizabethtF9657UP00Team NancyTeam Nancy! Wonderful tour guide. She has shared a lot personal experiences and helped visitors see things from a Korean perspective. Highly recommended
- Matty R00Excellent company and guideExcellent trip! Very well organised and everything on time. Got to learn about the DMZ through our career-professional guide (Jenny). Truly, she is remarkable and probably in the top 3 guides I've ever had, and I've been on a lot of tours in 64 countries. No hesitation to recommend this trip. Also for the price, its very good value.
- 679linb00The Korean Palace experienceThe tour was very informative and our guide Sunny was an excellent hostess. She was attentive to everyone’s need. Sunny made this tour a very enjoyable experience. Would do it again without hesitation.
- MumofR00Do not use this companyBooked this tour months ahead on booking site but once in korea, I find out on the day that they on sold my ticket. Person on the phone said it is a first come first served walk in bookings. Despite the fact we paid. Extremely unreliable and unprofessional company. I would give 0 stars if I could. No apologies just , oh we give you full refund or another tour.
- F6615WMcharlesn00Gave me new perspective on the Korean warDefinitely a needed tour to take while in Korea. The tour guide was very informed of the war since he is literally a soldier on reserve. Seeing parts of North Korea was both amazing and scary at the same time.
- Introvert_nomad900Highly recommendedThe tour was wonderful. It was the very first time that I've visited Korea with my family. I was so surprised that there were huge palaces in the center of Seul, and our tour guide Claire explained everything I was curious about. She was so nice and very knowledgeable.. I wish we had more time to explore Korea... Hope to go back to Korea in near future and learn about the country more!!! The tour was short but excellent!!
- liko1100Interesting TourPicked up from hotel in small van and spent an hour getting other guests. Transferred to a large bus and stopped at Imjingak Park, Dora Observatory and 3rd Tunnel. Final stop at Ginseng factory - semi high pressure sales for expensive ginseng. Drop off at City Hall so you need to find your own way back. Blair was our guide and spoke good English.
- 204dallasb00So glad we went on this tour! What a part of world history was seen on this tour! The tour was easy to book and went smoothly. As we drove the hour up to the border we saw beautiful scenery and lots of rice fields. The bus was clean and comfortable. The only down side was the communication was a little lacking. Three of the people did not bring their passports because of a language barrier and our tour guide had a little trouble with English, the language that was for this tour. But we saw everything we were promised including the most northern railway station in the country and one of the tunnels dug by the North Korean military during the war. We recommend this tour if you are in the area.
- Dave P00DMZ tourI’ll echo others. Hotel pickup was nice, guide was nice and spoke decent English. 1st stop at Freedom Bridge was way too brief; we saw maybe 10% of what we wanted to see there. Observation deck stop was good; lots of free binocular stands to look through. 3rd stop was the NPRK tunnel. The stop duration was sufficient for the death march down the long tunnel and back, but there really wasn’t that much to see down there. I am 5’11” and had to walk bent for the last half; I gave their hard hat a good workout! The last DMZ stop at the modern, but as yet unused train station was too long and not at all interesting to me. On the way back to Seoul we stopped at the overpriced ginseng hard-sell shop, which was irritating. Back in Seoul we were dropped off at a random subway stop near the city hall. Fortunately we knew how to get back to our hotel from there. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend the tour. If you can figure out a better way to just visit the Freedom Bridge park for a few hours, that would be better.
- davetheguide00Worth visiting the DMZ, but the tour was averageIf you're visiting Seoul, I do recommend a trip to the DMZ and this can only be done with an organized tour. The content of the tour was satisfactory. The quality of the supplier was just average. Since I understand all DMZ tours are basically the same, I have no problem in recommending this one. Before drop off at Seoul City Hall there was a wasted experience with a mandatory ginseng shopping outlet. At least we weren't pressured to buy. And we were in and out of the shop very quickly since nobody in our group was interested in the shopping.
- PrincessGilda9000Heritages of Korea HistoryIf you want to step in Korean history, then the palaces visits are the must!!! You can spend all one day at only Gyeongbokgung palace and even have not understand the time passing. The best time to visit is the 10 AM and 2 PM everyday (except Tuesdays), the time of changing guard of Gwanghwamun gate. This is an event which is must to see!!!
- bjmac0200S Korea - Land of the Morning Calm,The people were friendly, accommodating and industrious. The cuisine was above anything you may have heard about. The museums and popular sites are many and not far from the public transportation. We enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed for more than a month.
- gamble6700Interesting tour but an unnecessary side trip at the endThis was a very interesting tour and our tour guide was helpful. You make 4 or 5 stops at various places in the DMZ area, but not all the areas were well explained. The first stop appeared to be mostly a tourist trap, complete with an amusement park next door. We would have benefited from more time here and a better explanation of the area and the relics there. The trip down the 3rd tunnel was really interesting, but strenuous - not recommended if you have back or knee problems. The part of the tour we really objected to was the completely unnecessary stop at the Korean Ginseng Centre. It was out of the way and added an extra hour to the tour. This was a real hard sell to get you to buy very expensive ginseng, followed by a forced march through another souvenir shop. Our whole group wished we had spent longer at the actual DMZ sites instead of this completely unrelated stop. Overall, I highly recommend checking out the DMZ but I would try to find a company that doesn’t force the ginseng stop if at al possible.

Lovely tour. Full of Korean history. Monday or Tuesday not the best days as one of the temples is closed each day.

Even though our guide was a very nice person and cheerful, I was not impressed with this tour. We did see everything listed on this tour, however, the point of having a guided tour is so the guide can tell us about it's history, stories, the kings and queens etc, any interesting historical facts or even fun facts. This tour was literally us waiting for the bus to arrive at each location....the guide telling us what each palace or location we stopped off at but not much more information and pushed us just to take more pictures. By the 2nd palace, when she would say, "go take pictures" no one wanted to take any more pictures because that's a boring tour. I could have just bought my own tickets to each palace, walked Insadong and Naemundong on our own without spending an arm and a leg on a guided tour that didn't have much information....oh, and they had us meet at the wrong location at 8:30 am and we had to run back to our hotel for a pick up due to their mistake....we almost missed the tour by a minute.....not a great way to start.

What are the gratuities expected.?

It is totally up to the individual. I think that I gave the guide $15 in US currency. Gratuities are not necessarily expected but it is nice gesture if you enjoy the tour.
