          Minimal fish life
Hardly any fish or marine life. Coral is dead and it’s been overpopulated by tourists. Not recommended and not value for money.

Amazing day out, very helpful tour guide
Flo and Kiki ran a very well organised tour, we really enjoyed Flo‘s knowledge and fun fact as we were driving between locations. Would recommend doing this tour on a day where there is not a cruise ship docking, as some places such as blue lagoon were very busy.

          Very rushed
The experiences were great - Hideaway Island is amazing - however would have been nice to have known about the underwater letterbox and not just stumble on it whilst snorkeling! Further the van was too packed and was very uncomfortable. Maybe 2 less people would have made it more pleasureable. We were constantly running late as trying to get everyone back on time was proving difficult. Half of the van had an idea what they wanted to do and as they were the majority the other 2 groups were left rushing around because the majority were ALWAYS late getting back to the van. Our guide was knowledgeable and did very well answering the questions people had. Overall an enjoyable experience but could have been better

          Great day trip experience
We had an amazing day with family and friends. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with smiles and excitement. From the beautiful reef experience which was amazing for our first time to the bbq lunch that was cooked fresh and the cocktails that we drank. Great day out and pricing was good. Bang for you buck. Shout out to Stella and all the staff that made our day such a beautiful and memorable experience. Highly recommended.

          What an experience
We were absolutely stunned ... it is off peak here, so it was just us 2, and wow, what an awesome experience. What a great way to see the island and hear about the culture and learn about tradition .... the whole day was fun, full of laughter and joy 😊

Snorkeling at hideaway island was the best
We came off a cruise ship & booked this tour independently as it’s cheaper than booking through the cruise ship. We had a small group of 4 in our van which was great. It was beautiful weather. We had the lovely Lani as our tour guide & Johnathon as our driver. Our favourite spot was snorkelling at Hideaway island, lots of fish & we saw the underwater post office, my 11yo loved it. Then we went to see the turtles, it’s not a sanctuary but a petting zoo. We really felt sorry for those poor turtles getting poked & prodded & lifted out of the water. My daughter who is a real animal lover actually got quite upset about it. Lunch was fairly ordinary there, but Lani managed to get us some from the outdoor kitchen area. Then we went to Blue lagoon, which I could imagine would be quite beautiful usually but 1/2 the cruise ship was there, so very crowded. Still nice to have a swim tho. A bit of litter about the place. My daughter somehow found a men’s ring on the bottom of the lagoon, even tho visibility was poor. I gave it to Lani our tour guide as who knows whom it belonged to or how long it had been there. But a few hours later we were waiting in line with a few hundred people to get one of the tender boats back to the ship & the guy in front of us mentioned he lost his wedding ring in the blue lagoon. I couldn’t believe it, what are the chances. So I went & asked a security person at the port who called hope villa tours & they rang around & got the wedding ring back to the guy (it was his!) just as he was boarding the last tender boat. What a fantastic story, & thank you so much Lani & Hope Villa tours! It was a fantastic day. But a bit rushed as the cruise ship didn’t allow much time at port, which is a shame as I really wanted to see more of Vanuatu at a more relaxed pace.

          Fun and worthwhile day trip
Great day on this tour. The lagoon and turtle sanctuary are both beautiful and the barbecue lunch provided was delicious. Hideaway Island is very cute and has a nice cafe to while away the time which we did as it was raining during our visit (Jan is wet season, so it rained on and off some days). The tour bus fits 15 people so the groups are small and we had a nice bunch of people on ours.

Awesome day trip with Louise & Uncle Jack
“Great day with Louise and Uncle Jack. Picked up straight from ship at 8 - we did the Hideaway Island, Turtle Swim and Blue lagoon - ending with Duty Free and Market. Louise was fantastic, a wealth of local knowledge and great stories. First stop was Hideaway island which was beautiful. Got there early so had the space to ourselves. Lots of seating to choose from & saw lots of fish from the get go. Spent just under two hours there snorkeling and enjoying the sun. Two quick warnings - you need reef shoes - the beach is entirely made of coral. Another - there are two jellyfish when you go past the drop off zone. Wifey got stung twice. Second stop was turtles - app a brand new area very much still being built. Daughter loved this experience. Small coastal/beach area caged off with 5 or so turtles in there. So you could go in and play/touch etc. Again daughter loved but not 100% sold from an animal wellbeing POV. Lunch was at the turtles - table with cooked food - chips, rice, sausage, onions, banana, pineapple, lettuce, chicken and steak. Not much for veggies or pescatarian but was tasty. Third stop was the blue lagoon. This was a lot of fun but def not for faint hearted or the safety conscious. Lots of swings and jumps into the lagoon which was fun - although getting out was an experience with regular stepladder being used. Lots of fun Last stops just local shopping & duty free. I will say was better than Aus prices - would say 30% less so lots of people grabbing booze and perfumes. Dropped back off around 330 for a 4pm sail time. Overall def recommend. Good day all round and Louise was excellent as our guide”

Hideaway Island, Blue Lagoon and Turtle Experience
Hideaway Island was nice, however there was no direction or information given as to what to see or do. We realised later that we could have looked at the under water post office, but we were not told where it was etc. The food on offer at Blue Lagoon was at best average. It was cold and very uninviting. The turtle experience was interesting and the host friendly and informative.

          Too rushed.
Hideaway Island is just a strip of sand in a resort with nothing appealing. The Blue Lagoon was very, very crowded. The lunch served was good enough. The turtle experience is a small zoo with just a few marine animals. For me, the main problem was that everything was rushed, allowing just a few minutes at each stop.

Amazing day out, our tour guide & driver were great, very informative. The Blue Lagoon was amazing, we were there in the early morning & it was very quiet. We could've spent all day there. The Turtle Sanctuary was interesting, the guides were very informative. We did feel bad for the turtles though, I'm sure they would prefer to be in the open ocean rather than being used as a tourist attraction. The Rarru Cascades were beautiful but very very cold, would also be better to take reef shoes as the rocks are slippery & have spiky shells/snails attached to them.
All in all a great tour & a beautiful day out. If your smaller kids aren't strong/good swimmers I would recommend to take a pool noodle or flotation device.
        Highly recommend.

The tour guide (Sarah) is very professional, she introduced us a lot of the history, people, culture of Vanuatu and prepared a lot of fun facts to keep us entertained during the ride~ If we see something cute (spiders), she would pull the car over so we can interact with the nature, touch some plants. Having a wonderful tour guide will let you learn so much more about the country than you can ever do on your own, better than google.

However, I would say the weather was not so nice on the day we went on tour, and the blue lagoon was not as pretty as it was in photos. Waterfall was a bit average as well (maybe just because we also went to Fiji and the scenery was just unbeatable). The Reef Zoological however, was very enjoyable. Although the park was not really huge, the guide was also very knowledgable, and we all get to interact with sea turtles very very closely. I'm not sure other facilities will allow you to touch sea turtles, but this place does ( with supervision of course), which makes the whole experience so friendly and kids on the tour loved it!

I would say it's definitely worth to book yourself a tour with Vila Hope tour, as they are very experienced and prepared. Most of the taxi drivers or private transfers drivers will tell you they can drive you on tour and let you have as much time as you need on your selected spots, but they won't be as experienced and ready to tell you stories and facts abt the places you're going, so I don't mind squeezing myself in a van with 10 other ppl, as we all had a good time.

I had the best day touring Port Vila with Minnie and Junior. We went to 6 great spots and learned lots about the history, culture and way of life of Vanuatu people along the way. We visited: the blue lagoon, the waterfalls, the turtles/zoological centre, the coffee factory, chocolate factory and Tusker brewery/distillery. It was well organised, and there was plenty of time at each stop to do what we wanted: swim, taste chocolate or coffee, learn about things or just enjoy the moment. It was also amazing value for money, being a full day tour and including morning tea of fruits and crackers, bottled water and a BBQ style lunch. Compared to another tour I took which was also sold as a full day but ended up only as a half day, this was by FAR the better experience! I would not hesitate to recommend Vila Hope Tours if you want to experience the real Vanuatu and have fun doing so!

It was a such awesome experience in Port Vila! Our guide Sharyn she was just amazing, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and her English was excellent! On the way, she explained to us about their culture, showed us the plants even we stopped on the side road to see the special spiders! Our daughter had such a fun day and turtles are cute. Our driver Kennett was very professional and tried his best to avoid holes on the road. Anyway, can’t love more and thanks for looking after us! We will definitely recommend to our family and friends, will be back to discover more!

The tour said it’s a full day tour for 6 hours. However the driver came 1.5 hours late and all stops was shortened and the trip was only 4 hours. The lagoon and fall was good so would have been nice to spend more time there.

Oh wow! This experience was amazing and topped off our trip to Vanuatu!
Both Sharon and Simon were fantastic guides and their knowledge of the country, islands, provinces, history, plants, food and cultural information was truly inspiring. This was the highlight to end our trip here, Sharon and Simon know their stuff! We cannot thank them enough for what they shared with us. Thank you. Thoroughly recommend!!!

Had a great experience with the tour guide and our friendly driver. For anyone visiting Vanuatu by cruise ship for the first time it can be a bit daunting as your bombarded by locals trying to sell tours and taxi rides. We were given clear instructions before hand on where to meet our tour and were placed into the air-conditioned bus while we waited to get ready to go.
1st stop was at Blue Lagoon which is a magical spot to go swimming. The tour company has small shelters to leave your things in, then when your finished swimming there was a range of tropical fruits laid out to enjoy.
Next stop was the turtle sanctuary which is always interesting and a delight to visit, it's just a shame that too many tourists were intent on man handling the turtles, including the baby tutles. BBQ style lunch provided with drinks available for sale then off to the cascades for a swim in yet another beautiful spot. Just be aware that if you have mobility issues the access up to the cascades will be a challenge.
Definitely would recommend doing this tour if you get a chance, and give Villa Hope Tour's a try, you won't be disappointed.

A really lovely day out. Louise and Macdonald were very friendly and knowledgable. I must comment though on the slow start and standing around before boarding our mini van. We had a few older passengers who can not stand around with out being in pain. The van was over booked and three of the paying passengers had to ride on the front seat with one on a lap. Not ideal or safe or I imagine very comfortable. They were young and did not complain. I was looking forward to the smorgasbord of fresh fruit as pictured. What a joke. We were told no fruit as cyclone damage had destroyed. Hmmm. We got coconut in shell and local crisps! You had to be quick to get it too! Not a complaint but ..... disappointing. The lunch provided was okay. Cold bbq sausage and tough piece of steak. To say the local dogs did well is no exaggeration. The sweet potato chips (cold) were tasty and the salad was delicious. I would still recommend this tour as our group all enjoyed the places we visited.

Thank you for the feedback. Yes, unfortunately we still have extremely limited fruits after the 4 cyclones earlier this year between December and March. It is very slowly to coming back to the markets. Thank you for joining us and we hope to see you again soon. All of your comments have been noted. Thank you again. Take care.

We did this tour yesterday with my family , we love the tour guide Sharon , the van has AC, and the lunch was good. Still tour is a little pricey for what it is.
We never got the bottle of water or snacks mentioned on what was included.
On the tour is included the entry to The Reef Vanuatu zoological, instead we stoped on a random place where we have lunch and we can swim with turtles that were hold on a small bay. The place was nice and we swim with the turtles, but this was not what we pay for. The Rarru cascade and the blue lagoon were just amazing.
Definitely recommend it, but I guess the should amend the description on trip advisor as you are not going to the reef Vanuatu zoological .

Trip was well-organised and the guide was extremely laid-back and relaxed. She just waited in the car for us to come back and didn’t rush us at all. She was helpful and polite. Only thing that could be improved - she could have a little microphone because the girls at the back of the bus struggled to hear her commentary. However, it was a relaxing day and enjoyable!
