City tour 5 hours - Including Monserrate
From USD 92.00
Take your exploration of Bogotá to new heights during this 5-hour private tour of the mountaintop monastery of Monserrate. Enjoy sky-high views of the Colombian capital from this 10,300-foot (3,150-meter) high religious complex, journeying by your choice of aerial tramway, funicular or walking path. At the top you’ll also have time to check out the 17th-century cathedral and wander the site's collection of souvenir stands. A lunch of Colombian cuisine is included. Your tour ends with hotel drop-off.  Private guide and site entrance fees are included.
What to Expect
Join this 5-hour tour and visit the highest point of Bogotá. At 3.152 meters above the sea level, Monserrate has become part of the capital’s history due to its high volume of Colombian and foreign visitors that arrive because of their Catholic beliefs, or because of the beautiful landscape that can be admired from here.
Your tour begins with hotel pickup in Bogotá by private vehicle for the drive to Monserrate. Once there, you will have one of three options to reach the top with your guide: ride the funicular, ride the aerial tramway, or take the walking path. Whichever one you do, will provide fabulous views of the city on the way up.
At the top, explore the 17th-century cathedral, and shop for gifts or souvenirs at the vendor stalls. A lunch of Colombian cuisine is included. Your tour ends with hotel drop-off.

Tour guide David Rodriguez Espinel

This was worth every penny. David was extremely informative and had super interesting facts and stories for almost everything we came across during the tour. He was patient with our diverse group that had age groups from 4-70. Highly recommend this tour!

Excellent tour with excellent tour guide

Marcello Bitti was an excellent tour guide. The Monserrate Cathedral, the view and the people that works there made the trip an unforgettable memory. Then, the Plaza Bolívar and Museo de Oro experience was great. Thanks for sharing all your memories with us.

We had an amazing time with Ingrid. The day we chose to go was a holiday, so the lines at Monserrate were incredibly long. Since we didn't want to deal with the lines Ingrid took us on a great tour of La Candelaria, taking us...More
